When Two Villains Meet.
The Drug Scam.
The fancy office shoes walked to her desk.
The clock ticked away the hours.
The man with dropped the files on the desk.
"This paperwork has to be done by tomorrow and make sure Kisharo gets those boxes."
Audrey sighed and shifted her feet under her desk. She leaned with her left elbow on the desk and inspected the papers.
Adam noticed how she frowned. "How about we go out tonight." He smiled.
Audrey raised an eyebrow and looked up.
'What, is the bar closed?' She thought.
"We..going out...tonight?" He nodded and muttered something.
"I have met someone." Audrey nodded and got back at her paperwork.
'I have met someone' Yeah, he says that every month...
"Oh come on, don't give me that look." She ignored her father and he walked back to his office. It was pointless.
"Just make sure Kisharo gets those boxes without anyone opening them, alright?" He yelled behind himself and closed his office doors.
Audrey sighed and touched her mother's necklace. She still had a scrap of hope of the deep bottom fo her heart that she may come back.
"So, what are your hobbies?" The thick make-up layered woman said.
Audrey looked at her plate and her stomach growled a little.
Is this it?
Where the hell is the rest of her food?!
"I like to read." She muttered and started attacking her five bites worth of salmon. Her father coughed as a hint, but as usual she ignored.
The restaurant was chique and quiet. The woman adjusted her animal furr on her shoulders and looked in a little mirror to see if her devilish red lipstick was still intact.
Audrey looked up and almost wanted to give her a standing ovation for her accomplishment, it's truly an act of pushing a boozem that size in a cloth that is called a dress.
"Adam said you like to shop." The woman smiled.
Her cheekbones were like edges and the make-up made her look like a piece of chalk.
She nodded and almost inhaled her potatoes.
"I thought maybe we could shop together."
Jup there it is... the 'get to know the daughter' attempt. She sighed and looked at her father. He just gave a look of 'please-do-it'.
She nodded. The woman's face lit up.
"But I choose the stores." She said quick.
Her knee long dress started to get hot and she wanted to get out of here. Her father picked up his whiskey. "To family." He toasted.
"Yeah, I wish I was with them right now." Audrey muttered and downed her champaign.
The tired girl opened the door to her appartment and sighed.
Her hair was full of rain water. The dress was soaked and clinged to her skin. Her heels almost bleeding from blisters.
The drops made a plop sound when they hit the floor.
Puma greeted her and started purring against her legs.
She walked in and threw her purse on the couch. The poor girl walked to her room and dropped herself on the kingsize bed.
Jay to expensive restaurants not giving you enough food!
She groaned and kicked her heels of.
They landed somewhere in the room and one on her closet. She felt around on the bedside table and started dialing the pizza place.
"Hey Mario, it's me again, jup, it's one of those nights..."
The next morning.
The beeping of the alarm clock started and her head shot up looking around. Audrey picked up the clock and threw it against the large windows overlooking the city.
She heard it crash against the glass and groaned.
Single, covered in pizza boxes and her onesie and the wide, flatscreen T.V on TLC.
That's her life right now...
She grabbed the remote and started to flip through the chanels. She stopped at the news and started to stretch. "Citizens are in mourning and panic as wat they call it 'the rich drug scam' took place this morning at the Hellings bank."
Audrey's head shot back at the T.V as she heard her name.
She turned the volume up and looked with wide eyes at live scenes of her bank.
"What the hell?"
"We are currently standing outside the bank of Adam Hellings who was found-"
The doorbell rang. She got up and ran to the door.
The woman stood there with smeared make-up and two police man behind her.
"I wanted to call you first, but I didn't have your number." Her red puffy eyes pleaded for help.
"What's going on?" She said scared and stepped back.
The police men looked at eachother.
"I'ts your father."
Audrey sat in the cold metal chair.
"Do you recognize any of these men?" The police woman placed photo's on the table before her. Audrey shook her head and sighed.
The tears have finally stopped and hid her face behind the cup of crappy coffee. "How can my father be involved with drugs when I was his secretary?" She whispred. "Probably because he was a good liar, does the name Kisharo ring a bell?"
She looked up. Her head was spinning.
"I thought he was a trait man in cars." She sobbed.
"Mmmhh, I'm afraid that daddy lied to you honey." The cop walked out with the pictures and Audrey just sat there, with the cup of coffee.
Still shaking.
She walked outside of her appartment to get some fresh air. Isn't it strange that in one night your whole world can crash down?
She blew out some air and sat on the edge of the road. She just saw her father yesterday and now he was gone forever.
Her last words to him were: "I'll see you tomorrow I love you." She started to get dizzy. The sound of her pressure started to build up.
What will happen tomorrow? She lit up a cigarette
Will the company crash?
She started to shake. She can't handle this pressure.
Her shaky hand opened the door again and ran to her place.
Kicking the door in, she ran to the sink and started washing and cooling her face. For what does she live now?
She didn't have anyone... She took another drag.
Does that mean she is alone? Or free?

P.S Song of the day: Bad reputation- Joan Jett
i feel like that was a totally unecessary ending unless you're trying to really drive home the message about how stupid it is to have unprotected sex. That was a really awesome story, until the random, unrelated twist. There were major tonal changes and a few lulls, but overall way above par for this site. But seriously, death from a premature birth she didn't know she was carrying? What are the odds? I suggest swapping one of the genres out for tragedy as a warning to others who aren't into utter let-downs. Short of final chapter and some spelling/grammar stuff, great story.
