Cammi's Final Project
Let Me See Your Eyes
Cammi's POV
Three Months Later
"I've missed you..." He whispered, glancing at the recording camera in my hand and then up at me.
His whole appearance was different: He had a skinnier face and all of his dark lucious hair was cut off, fading to a dirty blonde. A black baggy sweatshirt made his torso even thinner as oversized sweatpants hung loosely on his hips. And to top it off, he had sunglasses covering up his gorgeous blue eyes that I longed to see.
We both sat on the top of a picnic table in the city park, plenty of people disturbingly looking at us.
"I've missed you more." I grinned at him, still trying to take his whole look in.
"How ya feeling?"
"Like shit." He grumbled.
"It was the dumbest thing I've ever done..."
I nodded, trying to think of what to say.
"You know," He looked up a little bit.
"If you wanted to kill yourself, you didn't really have to end your life."
There was a priceless look of confusion plastered on his face.
"You can kill the bad things that make you wanna curl up and die in the first place."
He nodded with a little guilt.
"Vargas."
I nodded with a small smile. What's with all the nodding?
"When I got out, I just stayed in my room for awhile... just thinking..."
"Wanting to be alone?" What was he thinking about?
He nodded again, looking down slightly.
"And I uh..." His moving pupils were visible through the glasses, but I couldn't see any color.
"I've wanted to call you... but uh, wasn't so sure about it at the time."
I awkwardly nodded back.
We stared at each other for awhile, but it wasn't even creepy.
It was... perfect.
His face was so unreadable that it was frustrating me.
"Why aren't you smiling?" I tilted my head to the side.
He simply shrugged, reaching up to scratch the back of his head, his sleeve slipping up to his elbow.
"Smileeeeeee." I kicked his combat boot with him kicking my Converse back.
He looked at his exposed skin and frowned, pulling the sleeve back down.
"Why're you such a grumper pants?"
"I don't know..." He didn't seem the same, and I was a little disapointed.
"Hey," I pulled the two rubber bands out of my ponytail. (I have to wear two) Parting my hair into two sections, I brought them to either side of my head, making two pigtails.
He face brightened up into a big smile, a chuckle releasing from his lips.
"You are so adorable..."
I blushed and scooted closer to him.
"Lemme see your eyes."
"Why?"
"I've missed seeing them."
He shook his head, looking at the ground again.
Reaching up to pull his glasses off, he grabbed my wrist tightly.
"Andy..."
He sighed and took them off, two bloodshot baby blues glancing at me.
"There you go." I took his face in my hands, directing our eyes to meet.
