Two dreams into one

Unexpected things

Emily had just moved to Los Angeles, she would study the cosmetology program at UCLA, University of California, Los Angeles, and her concentration was make-up artist. This way, she could make two of her biggest dreams come true. One of them was to visit Los Angeles, now she lived there. The second was to become a make-up artist. And here, in Los Angeles, with all the famous people around, there would be a work for her if she was good enough.
It was her first week in the city, the school hadn't started yet. She was out jogging just to get to know the area. She loved the feeling. She listened to her favorite band, Black Veil Brides, and this weekend she would see them live, AND go to the meet and greet. Life couldn't get better. The city was so beautiful and so big. All people were well-dressed and seemed to be in a hurry, even in this early hour.
She ran along Sunset Boulevard, towards West Hollywood. She found a Sturbucks at "N Gower St" as the sign said. She took a break, she really wanted, and needed, coffee, it was far to get back to the campus.
"A coffee marocchino, please." she said and smiled at the young male working there.
"Of course." he said and smiled back, obviously happy someone was there, 6 a.m. in the morning, not acting like a bitch. She looked around in the empty café. There were just a few people in there, herself, an old male and his wife, she supposed they were married, and then a pretty young male who looked very familiar. She didn't really recognize him until she got her coffee.
"Thank you." she said and paid for it. She walked up the the black haired male.
"Excuse me, may I sit here?" she said and smiled at him.
"Sure, it's a free world." he answered with a deep voice, a voice she loved very much, it gave her the chills.
"Thank you. And good morning by the way." she said and sat down in front of him.
"Good morning you too." he smiled a little at her. He had very kind eyes, blue, they were so beautiful she thought.
"I'm Emily. I just moved to Los Angeles." she said and held out a hand and he shook it.
"Welcome Emily. What brings you to LA?" the handsome male asked.
"I'm studying at UCLA." she said and smiled. She didn't feel like ruining this moment by telling him he looked familiar, that she knew who he was.
"Oh, interesting. What are you studying?" He really seemed interested, and sort of relieved that she didn't seem to know who he was. She smiled at him, this was too good to be true.
"The cosmetology program. It has been my dream to become a make-up artist since I was young." she said and took a sip of her coffee marocchino.
"Haha, I guess you came to the right city then. If you get really got at it, it won't be hard to find a work." he said and took a sip of his coffee too.
"I know, that's the best part." she said and smiled at him.
"Where do you come from by the way? You have very good English, but there's something about the way you speak that makes me think that you're not from an English-speaking country."
"Oh, I'm from Finland." she said and giggled a little."
"Cool. So you just left your homecountry, which is on the other side of the planet, almost."
"Yeah, I suppose so." she said. "Though there's no place I would rather be, than here, this moment. You know, the city just like attacks you, forces you to love it."
"I know what you mean. I wouldn't live here if I didn't like it." he replied. He drank the last of his coffee and stood up.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Emily, but I have to go to work. Maybe we'll meet again."
"It was nice meeting you too." she said and smiled at him. She didn't bother to ask his name, she would meet him at the weekend anyway, though he didn't knew it yet.
She stared at him as he walked out of Starbucks and she saw the limousine that was parked outside. He turned back and looked her way before getting into it. She waved and he waved back. She was so lucky.

Back at the campus she took a shower. When she came out her new room mate had came, a girl in her age, maybe one year younger.
"Hi" she said and smiled at the short girl.
"Oh hey" she said and smiled back. "I'm Jessica, I suppose you're Emily, my room mate?"
"That's me" Emily said and laughed a little. "Since we're both girls it won't bother you that I change clothes, does it?"
"No, go ahead." Jessica answered. Emily dried her black hair and took her black favorite jeans, drdenim, they were so comfy. She took a grey t-shirt with a cool print.
"So, where are you from?" she asked while getting dressed.
"I'm from Montana, and you?" she sighed and sat down at the bed she obviously had claimed as hers.
"Finland" she said and smiled.
"Cool, how does Finnish sound?"
"I'll just take my typical example: Minä rakastan sinua. That means I love you. Though I speak Swedish." she said and laughed and started to fix her make-up.
"Haha, cool. By the way, what sort of music do you like?" she said and looked at Emily.
"Rock, metal... You know all that. My favorite band is Black Veil Brides. They play here on Friday, I have a ticket." she said with a happy voice, she really looked forward to it.
"Cool, I like the same." she said and smiled when the last part reached her ears. "Wait, do you have a ticket?" she asked, obviously surprised.
"Yeah, I do."
"I have one too! Then we can go together!" she said with a happy voice and clapped her hands.
"That's wonderful! Then I don't have to be alone either... It's pretty hard to be new here."
"I know right?"
"Indeed. By the way, do you have a meet and greet ticket?"
"Dah, of course I have." Jessica said and giggled. "I'm so into Ashley Purdy. He's like the sexiest man on earth."
"Good, because I'm so mainstream that I love Andy the most. I'm glad we won't fight over them." Emily replied and giggled also.
"Do you want to do anything? Like, eating dinner with me? I suppose it would be good if we became friends, since we're going to live in the same room for four years." Jessica said.
"Sure, I think we're a perfect match." Emily laughed.
"What is your concentration? You're obviously cosmetology as I am, since we share room..."
"Make-up artist, and you?"
"We really are a perfect match, I'm hair design!" Jessica chuckled.

They took a cab to Hollywood, to just walk around and to eat dinner. And they had some stuff they needed to buy before school started next week.
They found a small sushi restaurant and settled there for a while. They ordered food and then they just waited for it to come.
"So Emily, have you ever been to the states before?"
"Well no, I didn't know how USA was like before I moved here." she admitted.
"You need to come with me some day to Montana, to visit my parents."
"I would love to. Will you join me to Finland one day then?"
"Sure." Jessica said and they got the food.
"Thank you." they said at the same time and giggled a little.
"What do you have to buy for school Jessica?" Emily asked while she took the eatingsticks.
"A few scissors, some hairspray... You know, the typical stuff. And you?"
"Some different make-up things, such as eyeshadow in many different colors... We will do make-up for theatres too and you know all those odd things where you need odd make-up."
"Haha, I understand." she answered and ate a california roll.
"And you can't believe who I met this morning." Emily grinned and put a california roll in her mouth.
"Who?" Jessica asked.
"Andy Biersack." Emily whispered. Jessica almost got some lemonade in her throat and caughed.
"You're kidding me, for real?" she screamed and Emily hushed her.
"Yeah, though I didn't tell him I knew who he was, I didn't want to scare him away by fan-girling, you know."
"I totally understand, though I could never be calm." she said and laughed.
"Well, I will say something like "so we meet again" at the meet and greet. The meeting with Andy makes me long for it more." she said and sighed.
"We need to look totally awesome and he will be interested in who the hell you are, and then, when BVB sees we're friends, Ashley will notice me." she said and stared into the roof, probably dreaming of Ashley.
"Haha, we can always wish."
"We still need to look awesome. I can make your hair and my own, you can make your make-up and mine. We need to look like fans, but to a normal level, you know what I mean?" She actually liked Jessica's idea. Why couldn't they? She needed to show Andy who she was, and not just the omg-it's-bvb-I'm-dying-fangirl side.
"Okay, let's do it." she said and smiled at her new room mate.

They shopped all the things they needed for school, and then it was time to get some new clothes. They looked at clothes for hours and finally back at the room they lied down on their beds.
"What did you get Emily?"
"Well, I couldn't really decide, and I don't have that much money but... I got black ripped jeans and a military shirt, and I got a new BVB-top. Will they do the concert?" she said and showed Jessica.
"That will be fucking amazing. What sort of jewelery will you match it with?"
"Well, my grey knitted hat and my favorite necklace. What did you buy?"
"Uhm... Striped jeans and a BVB-shirt. And don't forget high heels." she said and showed Emily.

"You will rock that outfit. Hopefully Ashley will see you. It's pretty important we look cool, not like hysterical teenagers, right?" Emily said and laughed a little.
"It is important. What will you have on the pretty little feet of yours?"
"Just old converse. I just so love them."
"They will siut your outfit perfectly."
Soon they fell asleep. Days passed by, until concert day was here.

"I'm so excited!" Emily screamed while Jessica fixed her hair.
"You won't be excited if you won't sit still!" Jessica shouted back.
"Sorry." Emily said and giggled. "I just look so forward to meeting Andy, again."
"I know, I know. I want to see Ashley, OMG, I almost faint just thinking of him."
"If you faint you won't meet him." Emily said and Jessica giggled.
"It's for the best I won't faint then. But I could faint close to him. He could catch me."
"Are you a dreamer Jessica? I am but, anyway..." Emily said and laughed.
"I'm a huge dreamer."
They got dressed and they looked gorgeous. They took a cab to the arena. All those who had meet and greet tickets needed to get at least two hours early to the concert, because they would sign everything before the concert. And they had the places closest to the stage. They finally got to the arena and then they waited in the meet and greet line and giggled, trying to calm themselves. Inch by inch the line got shorter and eventually, it was Emily's turn.
"Hello again Andy." she said with a small smile, afraid he wouldn't remember her.
"Hi... You look familiar. Where did we meet?" the black haired male asked.
"At starbucks at N Gower St, last Tuesday." she said and looked down, blushing a little.
"Oh, I remember. How have you been?" he smiled at her and it felt like her heart was flying.
"Just fine, I got an awesome room mate." she said and pointed at Jessica who waved at them.
"I see. You seem to get along well."
"Yeah, we really do. We didn't know we were going to the same concert at first, but when we found out... Well, I was relieved I didn't have to go alone in such a big city."
"Haha, I understand that." Andy said and chuckled a little. Emily looked how many fans there was, but she was pretty surprised when it was just around ten left. She looked back at Andy.
"May I take a picture with you? You can say no if it's too much to ask, I don't want to invade your personal space if you don't want it..." her voice trailed at as Andy smiled back at her, leaving her speechless.
"No problem, we're not really strangers anymore, right?"
"Right..." she forced herself to say, but it was nothing more than a whisper. This was another of her dreams. Andy's arm around her shoulders. *Click* and she took a photo.
"Thank you very much Andy." she giggled.
"You're very welcome." he smiled at her. She started to walk away when he said her name, she was impressed he still remembered it."
"Yeah?" she turned back to him, smiling.
"So you recognized me at starbucks?"
"Of course I did, I have been a fan of yours for many years now." she said.
"That's nice." Andy said and smiled at her again. It felt like time stopped and she just stared into his blue eyes for a few moments.
"I need Ashley now." Jessica whispered and glanced at Ashley while dragging Emily away from Andy, who was still staring at Andy..
"Did you talk to him?"
"Of course I did, I think he found me interesting." Jessica said.
"That's awesome." she said, still thinking of Andy.
"How did it go with Andy?"
"Great, I got a picture..." she tried to say, but her voice almos failed her.
"What? People weren't allowed to take pictures WITH them." Jessica said and took Emily's hand, she was deep inside her own mind. But soon Jessica's words reached her.
"What?" she shouted.
"You must have been special to Andy." Jessica laughed and they found their places. It was right in front of the stage, the best place you could get. Black Veil Brides came out on stage and Emily stared at Andy. She caught his eyes and when he smiled at her she started to laugh histerically. She saw Andy chuckled a little and shook his head.He mimed "You're crazy" to her, and she mimed back "I know."
Black Veil Brides played an awesome concert and Jessica and Emily couldn't speak after it, they had been screaming and singing too much and too loud. They stumbled out last from the arena, laughing like teenage girls.
"I'LL CARRY YOU, MY DARKEST DESIRE. WHEN LIFE SINGS TO YOU FROM DEVIL'S CHOIRS. FEAR WON'T STEAL WHAT BURNS IN YOU, I'LL CARRY YOU, AWAY FROM THE FIRE. MY DESIRE, DEVIL'S CHOIRS." they sang together, very loud, as if they were drunk.
"I don't want to go home yet." Jessica said.
"Do you want to go to a pub?" Emily giggled.
"Aboslutely!" Jessica replied and laughed.
They didn't get far before they saw the band outside the arena.
"Jessica, should we go there? But if we do, we need to act normal." Emily said and took deep breaths to calm her happy nerves.
"Sure, of course we should. Ashley is there." Jessica said and stood straight up and the two of them walked up to them.
"Thanks for an awesome concert guys, this was my best day ever." Emily said and looked at each of them before her eyes stopped at Andy.
"Thank you, goodd you enjoyed it." Andy said and smiled at them.
"So, what's up?" Jessica asked and stared at Ashley.
"Now we'll just celebrate the fact that the tour is over." Ashley said and looked at Jessica. Emily smiled, Jessica must be happy about this.
"That sounds nice." Emily said and looked back at Andy.
"It sure does. Though it's a little boring just the five of us." Jake said.
"Want to join us?" CC said. Emily looked at Jessica, and she answered for them both.
"Of course."
"Jump into the bus then." Andy said and smiled at Emily.
They all got on the tour bus and Emily was amazed, she was in her favorite band's tour bus. Andy was sitting next to her and they were drinking some fancy drinks. Could life get better?
