Never Give In

Chapter 3

*Crystal’s POV*
As I wake up and begin to understand where I am, I sit up on the couch, frightened of what I should do. I see somebody sitting in a chair in the room, reading a book, and a questioning look crosses my face as he begins to get up out of his chair and walk across the room towards me.
“It seems that you’re fine, although I would suggest keeping the bandages on so that the wound doesn’t become infected. You fainted due to stress, and should lie back down if you start to feel dizzy,” The intelligent man says, picking up a glass of water and handing it to me, “Here, drink this.”
“Um, okay…” I whisper, afraid to speak louder. I take the glass from him and take a sip as he leaves the room.
Great, what am I supposed to do now? He left me here alone; does he expect me to stay here? Should I leave? Where did Andy go, should I leave a note and thank him for what he did and leave? But what will my parents say when I get back? What will my brother say? How late is it?
That’s when I decide to get up and look for a clock. I set my glass of water down on the table that the man picked it up from that resided to the right of the couch I was sitting on. I stand up and explore the room, but find everything but a clock. Damn it. My iPod is in my backpack… If I had that I could know what time it is... I sit back down on the sofa and tuck my knees to my chest, holding them in my arms. I wonder how long I was out… I rest my cheek on my knee, feeling tired again. That’s odd, I just woke up.
*Time Lapse*
“Yeah, she was just sitting there in front of the door when I found her.” I hear Andy respond to someone’s question.
“I wonder what happened…” Jinxx ponders.
I open my eyes and groggily stretch out, seeing Ashley sitting beside me.
“Wow, about time, sleeping beauty.” Ashley purrs, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and pulling me closer to him.
I flush and sit up, distancing myself from him.
“I-I’m sorry,” I stutter, gathering my thoughts, “For all the trouble you went through to help me… Thank you.”
“Awe, she’s so cute when she blushes.” Ashley flirts, making my face turn an even brighter shade of red.
“Don’t worry about it. I trust the medic told you what happened?” Andy inquires.
“Yeah.” I answer him, looking down.
“What’s wrong?” Jake asks curiously.
“Nothing, I’m fine.” I lie, standing up quickly and smiling.
I start to feel dizzy and my legs get wobbly, and all of a sudden I’m in Andy’s arms.
“Are you okay?” Andy asks, carefully helping me back down to the couch.
“Yeah, just a head rush I guess.” I say, missing the feeling of Andy’s warm arms as they leave me.
“We never caught your name.” Jake says.
“Crystal.” I answer as I feel my head bob a little.
“Here, rest your head on my lap.” Ashley suggests, putting his arm around my shoulder again.
“Um… That’s really nice of you, but I should probably be leaving soon.” I protest, trying to get up again.
“You’re leaving so soon?” C.C. asks me with a genuinely surprised look lining his face.
I don’t understand why everyone’s faces reflect such concern until I realize that I’m resting all of my weight on someone’s supporting frame.
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Jinxx asks, giving me a questioning look.
I follow my sight of their arm to the person and see that Andy is standing there, to my right, making sure I don’t fall onto the floor. As I realize my right side is pressed into his chest I blush slightly.
“Do you have someone you can call to come pick you up?” Andy asks me, looking down at me.
“Um,” I slump back down onto the couch and remember my iPod in my backpack. “Shit, my iPod is in a backpack I left in front of the venue…” I blurt out, and realize it probably isn’t there anymore.
“I can go look for it,” Jake offers, “What does it look like?”
“It’s red and black and has a sharpie drawn BVB symbol on it as well as a batman symbol,” I say, “But don’t fret if you don’t find it, somebody probably took it.” I sigh thinking about how angry my parents would be if they found out that it was stolen.
“Alright.” Jake says, leaving the room.
“If your iPod doesn’t turn up you can use my phone.” Andy says.
“That’s really cool of you but I don’t really have anyone to call that can drive.” I say, realizing that I forgot to mention that earlier.
I hear a door open and look to see a man standing in the door frame.
“Um… that could be a problem,” He says, “You’re scheduled to leave in a half an hour to make it on time to the next venue.”
“We could call an ambulance so they could take you to the hospital.” Jinxx suggests. I feel my face turn pale and I widen my eyes.
“Please don’t do that.” I breathe, scared as Hell.
“Whoa. What’s wrong?” Ashley asks, concern filling his voice.
“I… I just really don’t like hospitals.” I say, quivering in fear as I realize that might be the only option they have.
“I don’t think there’s really a choice here.” The man in the door says.
“Maybe we could call a cab then?” Jinxx proposes.
“If she’s unable to walk without getting dizzy and falling over, how would she make it to her door?” C.C. asks him.
“Do you have any relatives that are home that could help you out of the taxi?” Andy inquires.
“My Father would be home, as well as my brother, but…” I trail off.
“But?” Jinxx asks, prying.
“They could care less about me.” I say, giving in to Ashley’s relentless attempts to pull me closer to him, resting on his shoulder.
Satisfied with my compliance, Ashley grins sweetly to me and suggests that I come with them.
I blush a deeper shade of red than I already was, and query all of the guys if that’s okay. I hear Ashley go on about how I could sleep in his bed as I start to get lost in my own thoughts. Is this really a good idea? Of course I want to, but would that be taking advantage of their hospitality? I don’t want to be rude. I’m not sure if this is for the best… My dad would kill me when I got back…
“I don’t see a problem with it.” Andy answers.
“Yeah, if you want to.” C.C. says.
“Of course.” Jinxx offers.
“See? Why don’t you come on tour with us?” Ashley asks.
“I don’t know…” I say, looking down at my lap.
“Please?” Ash begs, bringing my face closer to his with his index finger and thumb under my chin.
