The Prophet and his Prophetess

The Wild Ones

The Wild Ones.
Finally I was one of them.
It was a few days and us "rookies" stayed in this campsite. More like a village if you ask me. There were cabins. That's a village in my opinion.
I decided to sneak into a cabin while nobody was watching, just to fulfill my curiosity. Luckily, nobody was when I looked behind me. Everyone was minding their own business. I peaked into the cabin to see if there was anyone there. It seemed empty to me. Nobody seemed to be there. I turned the doorknob to see if it was locked.
It turned.
It wasn't locked.
I opened the door quickly and snuck in unnoticed, slowly closing the door so I wouldn't draw attention to myself.
I looked around. It seemed pretty cozy. maybe I could look around and stay here for the night.
I opened a door and entered a room where I saw something I was hoping not to see.
A young man seeming to be in his twenties looked at me as I stepped into the room and quickly reached for his gun and aimed it at me.
"Who are you?" He asked sternly.
I gulped. I would have replied but having a gun aimed at me, I didn't know what to do.
"Who the fuck are you?!" He asked again, his voice much louder this time.
"Maybe you should answer the same question you asked me." I replied.
"But you don't have a gun. Do you?"
"You would shoot a Wild One?" I asked. "You're sick."
"How do I know you are a Wild One? Maybe you're one of F.E.A.R.'s little spies out to kill me?"
"Why would you think I'm a spy?"
"Well. You snuck in a cabin that had no vacancy. Which you know is violating Code 113."
"Can't someone be curious?"
He opened his mouth to speak, but then quickly shut it. There was a moment of silence before he stood up, the gun still aimed at me.
"Turn around and start walking." He commanded. "And if you look back or disobey my orders, I will shoot a bullet through your head. Do you understand me?"
I nodded as I turned around.
We walked through the campsite "village". I obeyed his order where to turn. Right, left. Left, right. It eventually led into a fenced area where all of the other rookies were stationed.
The commander whom I first met and received instructions from: Jason was there.
Jason spoke. "You're late, Katrina."
"So that's her name." The young man behind me spoke.
"Prophet, what are you talking-"
"She snuck into my cabin, which is violating Code 113. When I asked who she was she replied with disrespect, which violates Code 6."
Many thoughts rushed through my head, but hearing "Prophet"? Who the hell would name their child Prophet?
I turned around to yell at Prophet when I noticed he didn't have a gun in his hand anymore. So he wasn't going to kill me in the first place? Now there was more for me to yell at him about.
But before I could, a female voice yelled:
"She didn't know!"
A female with pale skin with black hair parted at the middle rushed toward me. Thank god.
It was my best friend, Eve.
Eve Black. She always stood up for me. Even though most of the time she was lying to get me out of trouble.
We were best friends since the age of five. She was the goody-goody. Well, not exactly. She was slightly rebellious, but according to the rest of the world, I was much worse.
"She didn't know better. Trust me." Eve said again.
"Eve." Jason spoke sternly. "Your friend must serve the consequences for her actions."
She gulped, but still stood by me.
"You will be cleaning the dining hall after dinner tonight. And Prophet will be making sure you don't sneak out this time." Jason spoke.
I turned around to Prophet, hoping he would back out. Prophet is the last person I want to be "babysitting" me.
"Yes, sir." He spoke.
Prick. He was going to make my night miserable.
And honestly, I think he would enjoy doing that.
