The Metalheads

You Can't Kill Us

Ashley quickly moved in front of both of us.

"Don't hurt them." Brody just laughed.

"Well if it isn't Ashley the girl and the little emo couple. How cute."

"He's not a girl," I shot back.

"Oh really?" I could feel Andy glaring at him from behind me.

He took a step closer, and before he could say anything, I grabbed him by the shirt collar.

"Why did you kill Sarah?" He didn't look scared at all. He just stared at me. Apparently he didn't hear me, so I said it again, only this time, I screamed it. I couldn't hold back my anger anymore.

"WHY DID YOU KILL SARAH?" His dad then came over and pointed the gun at my head, as if to get me to shut up.

"Why did you tell them to put her in the gas chamber?" By now, I was furious. I could almost feel the steam coming out of my nose, my anger boiling.

"Me? I did no such thing!"

I rolled my eyes.

"Are you kidding me? You wrote a letter to me yourself saying you did! Don't even try to lie to me! You know you did!" The officer then pushed the gun to my head.

"If you don't stop yelling at my son and accusing him of murder I will shoot you!"

Before I could react, Andy reached up and punched the officer in the face, knocking him down. Andy moved out of the way to handle him, and then Brody pounced on me, knocking us both down.

Meanwhile Ashley had gone over to the truck to get Mrs. Biersack out. Brody punched me a few times. Then, as I tried to fight back, he slowly took out a small dagger that looked similar to mine, and sliced into the skin in between my eyes, reopening the cut that was there from before. I screamed as he dragged the blade slowly across my skin, making sure to reopen every centimeter of it. Ashley quickly came to my aid and he dragged Brody away from me by his hood.

A few feet away, Andy was struggling to fight off Brodys dad. I quickly ran to his side and started to fight with him, blood running down my face. The officer quit fighting and started to laugh as I punched him, obviously not hurting him at all.

"Oh, the little girl tries to be tough and fight, but she'll never succeed." By now, I was out of breath, and ready to get this son of a bitch out of here. Bracing myself, I jumped on the officer, digging my long finger nails into his skin. He yelped from the pain.

"What makes you think that you and your bastard son can just come over here and tear apart families and bully people and make them feel like they don't belong? And make them feel like they should just give in? What gives you the right to treat us like this and to judge us for who we are and the way we are? We never did anything to you! So why do you and your people treat us like aliens? We are all human beings just like you. That gives you no right to force people to move to a separate place and to be treated like your prisoners."

They all looked at me in shock.

"I just can't take it anymore. I can't stand the way things are. And you are a jackass." I pointed at Brody. "You think that you can just go around and calling people emo because of the way they dress or the music that they listen to. Something you don't understand is that these "emo" people have reasons to be the way they are. Not everyone loses their best friend in a prison camp." I looked down at my wrists. Memories flooded back to me as I ran my finger over each one. Sitting in the cot they gave me, crying without being able to stop. Ashley by my side, trying to get me to stop. Sarah, being dragged away by the officers, kicking and screaming.

Wait, did one of those officers look familiar? Yes, one of them did. The one that shoved her into the gas chamber. Brody's dad. Tears and blood staining my face, I pounced on him again. I pulled him up by his shirt and then punched him down again, leaving him with a bloody nose and a few bruises. Brody tried to stop me by pulling me back, with me wiggling a squirming and kicking. "What are you doing to my father?"

"LET GO OF ME YOU MURDERER!" By now, Andy, Ashley, and Andy's parents looked a little scared of me. Brody threw me down across the street, scraping my head and my hands on the pavement.

"Katherine!" Andy rushed over to pick me up, and I could see the tears forming in his eyes. I coughed and tried to sit up, anger still rising inside of me. Andy cupped my blood-stained face in his hands.

"Baby, calm down. We're gonna take care of this. Just calm down." I couldn't calm down. Once I got going there was almost no stopping me. Wait, did he just call me baby? He's always called me darling. Maybe he does feel the same way about me. I mean, we have kissed before, and he's stayed over at my house, but we haven't really done anything a true couple would do. He continued to try to calm me, rubbing my back and talking to me soothingly. It seemed to work. His voice sounded so beautiful and calming.

"Hey, it's okay. We're fine." Ashley said a few minutes later. He and Andy's parents came up to me and hugged me one by one. I looked at the officer who was out cold, and at Brody, who was waking up from being knocked out cold by Andy's dad. Suddenly, I remembered something, and jumped up. There was another officer here with Brody and his dad, but where did he go? I started walking slowly towards the truck.

"What is it?" I just put my finger up to my lips to keep them quiet.

I snuck around to the back of the truck, to find the other officer waiting with his gun pointed at me.

"Woah." I jumped back and put my hands up.

"I'm not gonna hurt you. I was just making sure you weren't trying to sneak up on us or something." He looked at me for a minute, then I saw his eyes widen and he pointed to something behind me.

"What?" I turned around to be met by Brody's fist, squeezing my neck, choking me. I tried to pry his hands off of me, but he only squeezed harder. I gagged, and the the other officer just stood there and watched. Suddenly, the other officer grabbed Brody's hands and ripped them off of me, causing me to drop to the ground. I started coughing, fighting for air. The other officer, I saw, was holding Brody by the neck against the truck and screaming at him. Suddenly, a concerned voice called my name. It was Andy's dad, Chris. He ran over to me and pulled me up so I could stand.

"Are you alright?" I rubbed my neck where Brody had choked me. Mr. Biersack looked at it, and his eyes widened.

"Darling, there's a hand print on your neck. Did he choke you?" I nodded, trying to catch my breath. "Come back over here with us." He led me over to where Andy, Ashley, and Mrs. Biersack were standing. They all had terrified looks on their faces, and Andy rushed over to me, wrapping me in his arms.

"Oh my God, are you okay babe?" He seemed to have trouble keeping in the tears as well. They started to flow down his cheeks.

"Andy, I'm fine. I'm fine." I hugged him, trying to get him to stop crying.

"What happened over there?"

"I went over there because I knew that another officer had come with them. So I went to look for him in case he was trying to sneak up on us or something. I found him hiding behind the truck. And I was about to ask him what he was hiding for when Brody grabbed my neck and started choking me. I couldn't get free from him until the other officer freed me and started fighting him off. And then your dad came to get me."

I looked over in the direction of the truck, and I saw the other officer lying on the ground, motionless. What happened to him? I walked over to the man, only to find blood gushing out of his side, and a sad expression stuck on his face. I gasped. He was dead. Who had killed him? I knelt down next to him, and I took his hat off and laid it on his chest.

"You saved my life. I will always appreciate your kindness." As I got up, I heard a hateful voice coming from the other side of the truck.

"Aww, how sweet." Brody's dad had apparently woken up. I gasped when I saw a bloody knife clutched in his right hand.

"You killed him.." my voice trailed off as he stepped closer to me and pointed the knife to my face.

"And I can kill you just as easily." He smirked as he pointed to Andy, his parents, and Ashley. "And them too." I glared at him.

"You wouldn't dare." I stepped a little closer to him, pulling my dagger out of my boot.

"Now now, we don't want to have to kill each other now do we?" I continued to glare at him.

"I will if I have to." I noticed that Andy, Ashley, Chris and Amy had come over to where we were standing. They had come up behind me, as if waiting to strike.

"I've got an army." I said.

"Oh really, you and them?" I nodded.

"5 against 2." He looked at me as if to say 'are you being serious?'.

"Ok, let's go then," he challenged. I looked at each member of my little army, and they returned my looks with fiery eyes and game faces.

"Lets go," I said. Then, the fight began.

We fought Brody and his dad until they couldn't take it anymore. As I held Brody down, I tried to pound his skull into the pavement. "Face it Brody, you're outnumbered. I don't even know why you guys are trying to kill us. You can't." I said the last sentence as I threw him across the street like he threw me earlier, only not as far because he was a lot heavier than I was.

Andy and Chris had taken down the officer, while Ashley stayed with Amy, who was too worried about us to watch the fight. We had both enemies pinned down and defeated.

"Face it, you can't kill us." I said as I dragged Brody over to the truck and opened the door. I pushed him into the back of it, and he fell onto the floor. I shut the door behind him. Andy was shoving the officer into the drivers seat.

"Get out of here." The truck rumbled to life, backed up, turned around, and drove off.

I brushed off my hands and walked back to where my little army was standing. I hugged Chris and Amy. Amy looked very relieved.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay." I smiled. "I'm glad you're ok. What were they doing to you when we came out here?" She sighed, trying to remember what had happened earlier.

"I don't really know. They just came in our house and grabbed me and tried to put me in their truck. I have no idea why." I nodded in understanding. Andy hugged his mom and kissed her forehead. I smiled. Their relationship was really cute.

"Well thank you guys for coming so quickly." Amy hugged me again. Then Chris hugged me.

"Yes thank you. You should really go get your face cleaned up darling." I nodded.

"I will, don't worry." I smiled as they waved goodbye to the three of us as we walked back down the street to my house.
