Gift of Song

Epilogue

Two years later…

After the birth of Jake’s and CC’s son, as well as the surprise births of Andy’s and Ash’s second daughter and son, things did indeed get crazier for all of them. Shelby was called on as a babysitter more often than not and continued her job for them as a touring babysitter whenever they hit the road. Jake and CC chose to get married sooner rather than later like Andy and Ash did, and were now happily Mr. and Mr. Pitts. Of course, the drummer still chose to go by his stage name of Christian Coma when it came to the band, but legally and in private, he was Mr. Christian Pitts.

Jinxx and Sammi had also finally tied the knot about a year ago, and finally had a second baby on the way, as well. Their son, Logan, was currently five years old and always being sweeter than sugar to Rori and Leila, although he seemed to have a bit of a crush on Rori. The former of the Biersack daughters was currently four, and seemed to enjoy hanging out with the Ferguson boy.

The twins and CJ, as Jake and CC called their son, were now two, having just celebrated their second birthday a couple weeks ago. Sammi was due any day with another little boy, although she and Jinxx had no clue what they were going to name him, and everybody swore they’d be having a third that turned out to be their little princess. They laughed it off, though they weren’t really sure what would happen, but they wouldn’t be upset if they did have a third child.

Now that they were beginning to get settled in from their time on Monster Energy’s Outbreak Tour, Ash said that he had some news to share, which had everyone excited. Jake and CC had already said that when they got back from the tour, they were going to try for a second child together, and Jinxx was still waiting around for his second to arrive. They all wondered what news the bassist could have to share, and if it had anything to do with future plans of having yet another child since the twins were far from planned. He refused to say anything to them about his news until they were all gathered at his house, and Andy just seemed completely clueless as to what was going on, so if he was acting, he was doing a damned good job.

“All right, guys,” Ash said, rising from his seat. “You’ve all been bugging me about what’s going on, even Andy, since I haven’t even told him.”

“Yeah. You’re not dying or anything, are you?” Jake asked curiously. This brought a terrified look to the frontman’s face.

“Hell no,” the bassist chuckled. “I’m perfectly healthy.”

Andy let out a sigh of relief and relaxed so much he nearly slid off the couch and into the floor.

“However… Well, just pass these around. They’ll speak for themselves.”

He started passing around pictures he’d just pulled out from behind his back, which confused everybody in the room…until they realized what they were.

“Oh, my Jinxx!” the youngest of their group, who was now twenty-two, cried.

“Whoa, Ash. This is what you were so excited to tell everybody?” Jinxx asked, staring in disbelief at the picture he held.

“Yepper. I haven’t even told Andy because, although it’s obvious he’s the father, I didn’t want him slipping up and telling you guys before I could get us all in one spot,” Ash answered, grinning.

“So how far along are you?” CC asked curiously, studying the picture in his hand.

“As of today, ten weeks,” he answered. “Don’t ask how I’ve been able to hide it that long without raising too much suspicion. It’s still boggling my mind.”

“I bet,” Jake agreed with a chuckle.

“Damn… No wonder you’ve been trying to kill me with your libido here lately,” Andy muttered, hoping no one heard.

“Hey, I can’t help it!” the bassist said defensively, chuckling. “You know that as well as I do.”

Everybody dissolved into fits of laughter at that point, although the drummer seemed to be trying to hold back his laughter a bit. When Jake managing to stop laughing and wipe the tears from his smarting eyes, he asked his sweetheart what was wrong, only to get a questioning look from him. CC was asking him if they should share their news as well, and after thinking about it for a moment, he nodded his head.

“Guys, we have some news of our own we wanna share,” he said, getting their attention.

Everyone stopped talking and all eyes turned to them.

“Remember how we said that, after this last tour, we were gonna try for one more?” Jake asked.

“Yeah. You guys seem so anxious to do so,” Jinxx answered, his arms wrapped around his high school sweetheart.

“Well, turns out…we won’t have to,” he said.

Several curious looks were turned on them.

“I’m already four weeks pregnant, as of today,” CC explained, grinning. “Apparently one of our friskier nights toward the end of the tour achieved our goal a bit sooner than planned.”

Cheers erupted from all around the Biersacks’ living room, and although they couldn’t drink because of all the pregnancies going on, they decided they were going to go out to dinner to celebrate. Jinxx was a bit worried about taking Sammi out since she could go into labor at any moment, but Jake and CC offered to take Logan for the night if that happened. Andy and Ash already had their hands full enough with their own three children, and although they loved babysitting their nephew, they usually couldn’t handle it anymore.

Back when they were in high school and still just considering forming a band, none of them had ever thought they’d make it this far. They’d never imagined actually marrying their high school sweethearts and having children, and Ash and CC had never dreamt of letting their secrets out. They’d never dreamt of being able to record music, tour, and raise families all at the same time, but now that they were living their dreams every day, they wouldn’t have it any other way. Sure, life was stressful for them more often than not, but not once did they ever regret having their kids, especially Jinxx, Sammi, Andy, and Ash, who all had their first-borns before at least one of them had graduated.

Their little family was huge and getting bigger by the day, even with the loss of little Casey a few months ago due to an infection that she just couldn’t handle. Her little body had been too weak, even at nine years old, because of the HIV she was born with, and although their second baby would never replace the little girl they’d grown so used to living with, Jake and CC swore if they ever had a daughter, she’d somehow be named after her dearly departed aunt. It was the least they could do to remember the little girl who’d touched so many lives, especially after BVB took off, while constantly fighting for hers.

After finally getting their band where they wanted it, they continuously gave the gift of song to their fans, whom they called the BVB Army these days. Their musical talents were constantly on display, and one never knew what the future would bring, but they could certainly say this: no matter how many speed bumps they hit in life, nothing would ever stop the happiness they had from brightening their lives.
