Pandora woke up at seven twenty that morning and started to get ready for her doctor’s appointment, she took a shower, did her hair, makeup and got dressed. She fixed herself a bowl of cereal, trying to be quiet so she wouldn’t wake up Andy, she ate in her bedroom while watching Good Morning America on her TV. She was excited to go to the doctor’s appointment, even though it was still a little while away. She finished her cereal and headed downstairs to put it in the sink, she basically tiptoed to stay quiet. She entered the kitchen and approached sink, putting the bowl inside, she turned on the water to rinse it out. As she did this, she felt something rub against her leg, which made her jump and look down to see Buttercup rubbing against her leg and purring. She guessed Buttercup was hungry, so she grabbed the food bowl and found the cat food and soon enough Crow showed up, so she fed them both. Once she was done, she headed back upstairs and entered the bedroom, hearing her cell phone vibrating on the nightstand. She picked it up and began reading the text message she had just received from Collin.

Collin: Morning babe, when do you want me to pick you up babe?

Pandora: Morning to you too (: Eight thirty? (:

Collin: Sounds good, see you soon beautiful <3



She blushed a bit and sat down on her bed, continuing to watch Good Morning America until eight thirty. She ended up falling asleep sometime around seven fifty-five while the TV was still on, she had her pillow cuddled up against her as she slept on her side. She would have overslept if Collin didn’t text her and woke her up with the vibration of her cell phone, her eyes snapped open and gripped her phone and began reading the text message Collin had sent. He had sent at least four, and it was now eight forty-five.

Collin: I’m here (:
Collin: Where are you?
Collin: Did you fall to sleep?
Collin: Pandoraaaaaa!!!

Pandora: I totally fell to sleep, I’ll be there in a second.

Collin: Aw <3


Pandora got up from the bed and grabbed her sweater, she pulled it on and then grabbed a notepad and pen and began writing Andy a note.


If you wake up before I get back, I went to the doctor’s appointment and I’ll be back soon.

She left the note on Andy’s nightstand on his cell phone, she closed his bedroom door and headed downstairs and left. The air was cool and the sun was shining, she saw Collin standing by his car with a smile on his face. They both got into the car and drove off, she knew they weren’t going to be completely late, since the doctor’s appointment isn’t until nine thirty.
They arrived at the hospital and immediately saw Ashley standing by his SUV with sunglasses and a hoodie pulled up, Collin parked a few cars from Ashley and cut off the engine. They both got out and were greeted by Ashley, honestly it was a bit weird to be seeing each other. Knowing this now. But they both were willing to accept it and not let it ruin anything.
“Hiding?” Pandora asked Ashley, he smirked.
“You never know.” Ashley replied with a chuckle, the three of them walked side by side into the hospital and sat in the waiting room while waiting for Pandora’s doctor to call her in. Pandora found herself getting anxious every second, she felt her palms began to sweat as the clock on the wall told her it was now nine twenty-eight.
“So,” Collin said. “Is there a name set yet?”
“No.” Ashley and Pandora replied at the same time, Collin laughed.
“Well hopefully once we find out, you two can decide on a name then.” Collin said, then he went silent for a few seconds. “Ash, are you hoping for a girl or boy?”
Pandora looked at Ashley, she was curious about that too. Ashley smiled and looked at them both.
“I’ll honestly be happy either way, what about you two?”
“Same.” Pandora replied with an apprehensive smile.
“Same.”
Ashley chuckled softly at a thought once the three of them went silent again. “You know what the boys are doing?”
“What?” Pandora asked.
“Trying to get me to agree on naming the baby after one of them if it’s a boy, it started a big argument the other day. CC started with it, saying we should name the baby Christian if it’s a boy and Jake laughed at him and said no one wants to name their child Christian and that we should name him Jacob. Then Andy laughed at them both, and said no one wants to name their son Jacob nor Christian, name him Andrew. And then they started in on an argument of whose name was better, then Jinxx got up and yelled at them to stop it. And the room went quiet and Jinxx smirked and he said no one wants to name their child after any of your names, name him Jeremy. And then they all started arguing.” Ashley said, trying not to laugh while telling her. Pandora laughed, she knew the boys wanted the baby named after one of them if it’s a boy, but she didn’t know about that.
“Pandora Chambers?” Anne called with a smile, Pandora felt her heart skip a beat and watched the boys stand up. She got out of the chair and approached Anne, and followed her to the doctor’s room. “How are you?” Anne asked Pandora once they entered the room, Anne closed the door as Pandora got up on the table.
“Good, you?”
“I’m fantastic, thank you for asking. Now I’m guessing one of you boys is the father?” Anne said with a smile.
“Yes, I’m the father.” Ashley said, sitting down in a chair.
“And you are?” Anne asked Collin.
“Her boyfriend.”
Anne smiled. “Awesome, okay so first we’ll start off with some questions. Have you gotten morning sickness yet?”
“Yes I have, and it’s horrible.” Pandora replied, Anne chuckled, knowing how she felt.
“And have you been eating healthy?”
“Whenever I can.” Pandora replied, Anne smiled.
“Good, now do we want to find out the gender today or do we want to be surprised?”
“Today.” Ashley replied before Pandora could, they all laughed.
“Today it is then, okay Pandora I want you to lay down on your back and lift up your shirt.”
Pandora laid down on the table and lifted up her shirt to reveal her stomach, she watched Anne’s movements carefully and saw her grab a white bottle.
“Now this is a kind of gel that I will put on your stomach and it will help us see the baby better, it might be a little bit cold.” Anne said, applying the gel onto Pandora’s stomach.
“Cold?” Collin asked her, he was now standing up with Ashley beside him.
“Not really, it’s more like a cold and warm feeling.”
Anne grabbed the white stick thing and placed it on Pandora’s stomach, beginning to rub it around her stomach she pointed at a screen where Pandora saw black and dark blue.
“See this?” Anne said, pointing something out on the screen, then looking at Pandora and the boys. They all nodded. “That’s the baby.”
Pandora couldn’t describe the feeling she felt when she saw the baby on the screen, it was an overwhelming feeling.
“Would you like to hear the heart beat?” Anne asked with a smile, Pandora nodded as she became speechless while looking at the screen. Anne did something, and suddenly a beating sound filled the room and Pandora felt like she was about to cry. Ashley let out a sigh, not a sigh of frustration nor irritation, a sigh of happiness and apprehension.
“Wow..” Collin said, he was blown away and didn’t know exactly what to do say or do.
“Are we sure we want to know the gender?”
“Absolutely.” Pandora replied, Anne smiled, moving the thing on her stomach again as she focused on trying to figure out the gender. Anne smiled when she found out, she looked at Pandora with a smile.
“Congratulations,” Anne said, Pandora felt her heart drop. “It’s a girl.”
Pandora felt a wave of emotions run through her, she was speechless and didn’t know exactly what to think. She was carrying a baby girl, she was happy and excited and scared and nervous. So many thoughts were running through her mind then, she felt like her mind was about to explode; Will I be a good mom? I have to get ready, get all the baby stuff ready, should I tell my family that I’m pregnant? We need to pick out a name for her.
“She seems healthy, her heart is strong.” Anne said, but it sounded like she was being zoned out from Pandora’s thoughts. She couldn’t help it. Anne cleaned off the gel and helped Pandora up, and Collin helped her off the table. They said their goodbyes to Anne and three of them left the hospital, walking out into the parking lot and being blinded by the sunshine. Ashley hugged Pandora bye, and said bye to Collin, then he hopped into the SUV and drove off. Once Pandora and Collin got into his car, she was still too speechless to actually talk and Collin was just drowned in thoughts and feelings. Collin began driving Pandora home when she felt a wave of excitement, she was having a daughter..


“Andy!” Pandora yelled when she entered the house, the house was quiet, no TV sounds in the living room, no voices. Absolutely nothing. Pandora looked around for him, wondering where he had gone off to when she happened to look at the back yard and saw him sitting in the chair next to the table. She opened the slide-in glass door and stepped outside into the hot air, Andy’s head turned towards her and he smiled.
“Welcome home.” Andy said, she smiled and approached the table, sitting down on the opposite side of Andy.
“Thanks.” Pandora said, crossing a leg over the other.
“How did it go?”
“Everything went well actually, the baby is healthy, we heard the heartbeat.” Pandora replied, Andy smiled.
“Aw, so is it a little Purdy boy, or a little Purdy girl?” Andy asked with a huge smile appearing on his face, Pandora decided to tease him a bit.
“You really want to know?”
“Yes I really do.”
“Do you really, really want to know?”
“Yes I really, really do.”
“Do you really, really, really, really--’
Andy interrupted her. “Just tell me damn it!”
Pandora giggled. “It’s a little Purdy girl.”
Andy was quiet for a few seconds, Pandora couldn’t tell if he was excited or disappointed, then suddenly he smiled big. “What are you two going to name her?”
“We don’t know yet.”
Andy laughed. “Well you better start thinking, this pregnancy is going by fast!”
“I know, I’m going to go through baby names and think about it a lot. So don’t distract me!”
“Oh honey, I can’t help it. I am distracting.” Andy said, Pandora shook her head side to side and giggled.
“You wish.” Pandora said, "Oh hey, I got the ultrasound pictures do you want to see them?"
Andy looked at her and smiled. "Yeah let me see."
Pandora pulled out two pictures of the ultrasound from her pocket and stood beside Andy, he scooted closer and looked at the picture, seeing blue and black. Pandora was smiling and so was Andy, and when she pointed the baby girl out, Andy saw the baby and smiled.
"That's so weird!"
Pandora giggled. "Tell me about it, it's weirder to have a human being growing inside of you for nine months."
"It looks cute." Andy claimed, Pandora looked at the picture then at him.
"Yes it does."
"There's no way it's Ashley's baby if she looks cute in the ultrasound." Andy joked with a smile, Pandora giggled.... They stayed outside all evening, enjoying the hot spring air. They had lots of fun, messing around with each other. They even got into the pool and that became a huge splashing fight and Andy won, they had a great time together, being best friends..
