Andy woke up early on a Thursday morning, he had stayed up late last night finishing the new song he wrote. He was very proud with it and thinks it will be another great hit, but he couldn’t be very sure. He sat up straight in his bed and pulled the covers back, he left the bedroom after using the bathroom and headed downstairs to get something to drink. The house was quiet and he guessed Pandora was still asleep, but when he entered the kitchen and saw Pandora cooking breakfast, he was a little shocked. A warm smile appeared on his face, Pandora looked up to see him and smiled back.
“Good morning.”
Andy smiled. “Morning, what are you making?”
“Eggs, bacon and sausage.” Pandora replied, watching Andy open the refrigerator and grab the carton of orange juice.
“Sounds good, is there a reason your cooking breakfast?” Andy said, raising an eyebrow and looking at her. She smiled guilty and looked at him, she had lost.
“I want to hear the new song!” She said excitedly, Andy chuckled and smiled, pouring the short glass with orange juice.
“I thought it had something to do with that.” Andy said, putting the orange juice back in the refrigerator.
“Please!” Pandora begged, she has been waiting forever to hear this new song he had wrote and now that it was finished, he still hasn’t let her hear it. Andy sighed, knowing she would never drop this until she does hear it.
“Fine, after breakfast you can hear it.”
“Yes!” Pandora said excitedly, Andy chuckled.
After they had finished breakfast and Pandora cleaned the kitchen quickly, Andy decided to mess with her and make her wait a little longer while he gets a shower. Pandora was getting frustrated with waiting, she waited patiently outside Andy’s bedroom door. It was very hard to live with Andy Biersack and know he wrote a new song and not to know it yet, she heard movement inside the room and she was pretty sure Andy was out of the shower, so she knocked.
“Yes?” Andy replied.
“Done yet?”
Andy chuckled. “Yeah almost, hold on.” It wasn’t long until the door opened and Andy came out of the room, Pandora smiled and so did he.
“Now can I hear it?”
Andy sighed. “Yes come on.”
Andy led Pandora downstairs and both of them crashed down on the couch side by side, Andy grabbed the notebook on the coffee table which he wrote his lyrics in and opened it. Pandora found herself getting apprehensive, he sat up straight and turned a bit to face her. She smiled uncontrollably, and that’s when he began singing.
“The glory of a nation dies, the symbol of this war is coming, a warning meant to save our lives from F.E.A.R’S religion! Out of the depths we crawl to the light, never give in when the fire rises, standing here we our unified our hearts bear crosses, can’t turn back now! Whoa oh, whoa oh, the sound of nation.” Andy sang, he looked at Pandora with a smile and her smile was ten miles wide.
“I love it!” Pandora told him, he grinned.
“Really?”
“Would I lie about liking a song? No I wouldn’t, I really do like it and I’m sure the rest of the army members will too.” Pandora told him, he smiled and laid the notebook down on the coffee table.
“Still have to take it to the guys and get the instrumental worked out, and all that good stuff.”
Pandora nodded, the song was pretty good and Pandora liked it a lot. Since Andy found out Juliet was pregnant by Jamie, he hasn’t had any contact with her. He won’t return phone calls, nor text messages. Which was probably the best for both of them, he wasn’t looking for a relationship at the moment. He was enjoying the single life.
Pandora and Collin’s relationship was getting better, she was pretty sure her feelings for Andy was fading just like his feelings for her were. Which probably wasn’t so bad for either of them.
Pandora was getting ready for work Monday morning at eight thirty, she was in a hurry because she didn’t want to be late, so she opened the cabinet under the bathroom sink to grab a hair band to pull her hair back into a ponytail instead of straightening it. She reached into the dark brunette basket and grabbed a black hair band when her eye came across the box of tampons, she closed the cabinet door and pulled her hair back when a thought came across her mind immediately.
She was late.
She stood still in thought and shook her head side to side, she couldn’t be. Right?
While she worked beside Collin she couldn’t help but to have the thought of her being late on her mind all day, it was the normal thoughts in this situation.
‘What if I am? What will I do? How will I explain? What will happen? Am I ready?’ The same thoughts ran through Pandora’s mind repeatedly, and she knew she was going to buy a pregnancy test before going home, she just wasn’t going to buy it here. It seemed like a long day and she was never going to get off work, but when seven thirty came she was able to go home. Collin walked her to her car, he knew something was on her mind by the way she was acting today because was she acting distracted. He kissed her cheek and told her he’ll call her later, she got into the car and drove off, heading straight to the pharmacy. Pandora pulled in front of the pharmacy and cut off the engine, taking a deep, apprehensive breath and grabbing her wallet from her bag that sat in the floorboard on the passenger seat. She grabbed the keys from the ignition and locked the door behind her, she never been to this pharmacy and she hoped she wouldn’t run into someone she knew here. The automatic sliding doors slid open and she stepped inside, heading straight to the feminine care aisle. She found the pregnancy tests pretty easy but didn’t know which one to get, there were so many that detect different ways. Her heart was racing a bit when she grabbed a box and walked off, she didn’t know what kind she grabbed, but she just went with it. She approached the corner and laid the pregnancy test down, the woman didn’t ask any questions, just acting normal like she was used to this when Pandora’s entire life could change with that box in front of her. The woman put the pregnancy test in a bag and Pandora took it after she paid for it, once she reentered the car she thought how she would hide this from Andy. She looked at her bag in the floorboard and hid the plastic bag at the very bottom, she put the key in the ignition and started the engine, putting the car in reverse and driving off. Andy was asleep on the couch when Pandora arrived home so she was able to sneak upstairs without waking him up, she was glad he was asleep so he wouldn’t ask her questions about her day and all that, not that she minded that he asked those questions just at the moment she didn’t want anybody to ask her questions. She closed her bedroom door and turned on the lights, taking off her jacket and throwing it down on the bed. She dug through her bag and pulled the plastic bag out and headed to the bathroom, she wasn’t going to wait, she needed to know now.
It was the longest wait in her entire life, like she waited a million years for just one simple answer. Pregnant or not pregnant. Pandora rubbed her hands together apprehensively as she waited for the result to show, her heart was pounding fast and her eyes began to water and sting as tears began. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath to calm herself.
“Calm down.” She whispered, she reopened her eyes and saw the result and her heart sunk down to her stomach.
