Higher Than Heaven

“I can’t believe you ignored Andy the whole entire night.” Hunter says the next day as we walk through the radio station in Jacksonville, Florida. “The guy kept on trying to talk to you.”

“I just don’t want to talk to him.” I shrug. “He’s hurt me so much that I can’t forgive him.”

“He really does love you though.” He points out. “And for him to tell me that, it’s saying something.” I just shoot him a weak smile. Ever since we started hanging out with the my cousin and the guys, Andy has hated Hunter for some reason. So he must be really heartbroken if he’s going to admit something so personal to someone he hates.

“It’s still too fresh for me to talk to him.” I explain. “Maybe when we’re done touring and everything, I’ll talk to him. But for now, I just cant.”

“Just try and talk to him, everyone wants you guys back together.” He smiles. “You guys are made for each other. I’ve never met two people that just blend perfectly together like you and Andy do.”

I just smile before pulling Hunter into a hug. “You’re the best male friend a girl can ask for.” I mutter into his chest. I hear him sigh before kissing the top of my head.

“Come on, we’ve got an interview to do.” He says before pushing me away. “Maybe they won’t bring up you and Andy’s break up.”

“I highly doubt that.” I mutter before we walk into the studio room…

I look in the mirror and see a girl I’ve grown to know. Her eyes are bloodshot from crying with black shadows under her eyes from all the sleepless nights. Andy’s destroyed me; completely this time.

“You ok baby girl?” I hear Trinity ask. I turn and look at her, shooting her a weak smile. “That smile may fool all the fans, but it doesn’t fool us.”

“I don’t know how much of this I can take.” I admit to her. “I’m sick of people bringing up Andy, I want that phase of my life to be over with.”

“When why don’t we kill it with our next video?” She asks. “We’re up for one more single on this cd so why don’t we pick on of our anti-love songs and kill your life with Andy?”

“And I have just the perfect song for such an occasion.” I smile. “It’s time to kill my Andy phase once and for all…”
