Higher Than Heaven

FWD three weeks.

“Wow, people are cruel.” Juliet says, rolling her eyes as we Skype. Since breaking up with Andy, we’ve become best friends. Besides Lizzy and Trinity, she’s truly keeping me sane. She just found out about what the BVB fans are saying after the break up. “I can’t believe people are saying it’s all your fault.”

“Yes, Andy’s cheating is all my fault! I pushed him down and his dick fell into her vagina!” I growl. “Their fans are psychotic!”

“What else are they saying about you?” She wonders.

“I had a fan ask me if I’m sleeping with CC.” I giggle. “I love CC, don’t get me wrong but he’s like my best friend. He’s been there for me through both break-ups with Andy. I wouldn’t want to fuck that up with us sleeping together.”

“How you holding up?” She asks. “You seem a lot better.”

“I am.” I shrug. “I think touring and performing every night is what’s keeping my mind from drifting back into my very dark moments.”

“Andy really does have a hold on you.”

“First true love.” I sigh. “A part of me will always love him, that’s the sad part.”

“It wouldn’t be your fault, Andy is a very loveable guy.” Juliet points out. “He’s just too damn cuddly and sweet to even be human!”

I just laugh. “I know right!?”

“Have you talked to him or anyone else from Black Veil Brides recently?”

“I talked to Jake today.” I reply. “He told me that we’re going to be in the same city tonight. I have a gig tonight while they have theirs tomorrow. I gave me them tickets to stop by. I know for sure Jake and Ashley are coming, not sure about the others.”

“How awkward would it be if Andy shows up?” She ponders. “Are you performing any of the songs you wrote about him?”

“Only Better This Way.” I reply. “I can’t perform Break In; it’s just too damn hard.”

“I wouldn’t blame you.” She sighs. “Hey, call me after your gig tonight; I’ve got to get working on this CD.”

“Alright, see ya.”

“See ya love.” She says before signing off.

A sigh escapes my lips as I get up off the couch and head into the greenroom. As I walk in I see every member of Black Veil Brides standing around. Everyone including Andy. He looks up at me with dull blue eyes. I just bite my lower lip before adverting my eyes. Tonight is going to be a long night…
