Sitting on the wooden desk of Flora's bedroom were two letters. Two acceptance letters. Berkley and OSU. Her dream school and the best option to keep her relationship alive.


She was stumped, in absolute denial that she would have to make such a drastic decision at the young age of seventeen. The sound of My Chemical Romance rang throughout her room as she thought and thought about her future.


Did she want to love? Did she want her boyfriend to come see her every weekend? Did she want their relationship to grow?


Or did she want to keep in her dad's best graces?

"Flora?" Donna opened her daughters room, sighing as she saw her staring at her future. The young girl had tears in her eyes and she looked like she was on the verge of a breakdown.

"Baby.."

Her daughter jerked away at her mothers touch, remembering the fight her and her parents had only a few hours ago.


So much yelling had taken place, so many accusations and finally Flora had screamed that she didn't want to be an accountant. That she wouldn't be.

"I'm sorry, Flora, but what happened needed too." Donna said.

"I just want to be alone." Those six tiny words sent Donna out without another.


It wasn't true- she wanted to be with Andy. She wanted him to hold her, to tell her everything would be alright. She wanted him to tell her what to do but he could never.


He had a point though- Berkley had an amazing Publications Program and OSU didn't. She could have a life in California, she could still have Andy and the guys.


But her parents would be disappointed.


Flora's entire head was buzzing around with positives and negatives, yes and no's, and so, so many but's. She felt lost and she wasn't sure that either school was the right decision.


When the tears started to fall out, she wasn't surprised. She didn't try to wipe them away, she let them fall in a constant dream. The salty Devils warmed her chilled cheeks. Her nose began to run as she drew her knees up to her chest.


Flora sobbed into her boney arm, she couldn't understand how she could produce so many tears. Especially out of her tiny body.


God, how she wanted to fix everything! But she couldn't, not now, not after all of this.

Flora walked by herself to school the next day, her eyes puffy from crying. She rejected the ride her father offered and Andy hadn't even tried to contact her.


She needed to talk to him. She needed him to help her through this but it felt like he was against her.

"Hey Flora!" Chance grinned, walking up to her as she entered the school.

"Hey." She sighed, looking around the halls. "Have you seen Andy?"

"Yeah, he's by your locker." Flora nodded and began walking that way. She was wearing a pair of yoga pants and her Black Veil Brides tee shirt.


He was leaning on her locker, his arms folded. He looked so attractive in his leather jacket and tight black pants. Flora felt her throat close up a bit as he connected his beautiful eyes with her's.

"Hey Flor.." He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Hey." She bit her lip as she leaned next to him. They stayed silent for a moment before she spoke up. "Andy.."

"Just, tell me when you decide. I don't want to hear about it." He shook his head, taking her hand. Tears pricked to her eyes.

She needed him and he was being less than compliant.
