I'm Home
Ashley’s POV:
It was finally the last day of tour. We were coming home and I was going to see Belle again. I was getting dropped of first so I packed up the last of my things and went to wait out front. I placed my bags on the floor and fell onto the couch next to Andy.
“We’re almost there, Ashley. Everything is going to work out, you’ll see.” Andy said.
“Yeah, as soon as Belle sees you she’ll start to feel better.” Jake added.
“Thanks guys.” I said.
Pretty soon we pulled up to the house and I got off. I looked at the house and almost didn’t want to go in. I missed Belle like crazy, but I was also a little scared of what I might find.
“Call us if you need anything.” Andy said. “I’ll have Juliet call to update you on Samantha and Jake as soon as I get home.”
“Thanks Andy.”
The bus pulled away and I started walking towards the house. I opened the door and stepped inside. Most of the lights were off and I couldn’t see anything. I flipped a few on and started walking through the house.
“Belle?” I called out. There was no reply. I tried again, still no answer.
I walked through the house, looking in all the rooms. I finally got to my studio and found Belle curled up in a ball on the floor, sleeping. She looked terrible. Her face was red and tear stained, she was definitely thinner than when I left, and that wasn’t good. I knelt down next to her and ran my fingers through her hair.
“Belle.” I said, gently rubbing her shoulder. “Belle, wake up.”
She started to stir and finally opened her eyes. She quickly sat up and pulled away from me. That hurt. “Please don’t hate me.” She begged.
“What? I could never hate you!” I exclaimed.
“But I lost the baby.” She said in a quiet, scared voice.
“That wasn’t your fault Belle.” I said. I turned her head so that she couldn’t look away from me. “We can have another baby, okay?”
“But-“
“No buts, in a while, we can try again. I love you Belle. I could never hate you and I certainly don’t blame you for this. Come here.” I held my arms open to her.
It took a moment, but then she crawled over to me and let me hold her. I tightened my grip a little, pulling her as close as I could. I kissed the top of her head. After a while, I pulled away a little to really look at her. She was so thin. God, I wish I could have been here to help her through this.
“Ashley, I’m sorry.” She said. “Sorry for everything.”
“Don’t be, it wasn’t something you could control. Although, I am a little disappointed that you’ve gotten so skinny that your hips have all but vanished.” I said jokingly.
“Ashley!” She swatted my arm.
“What? I love your curves.” I defended.
Then the phone rang.
“I’ll get it.” I said, picking up the phone. “Hello?”
“Ashley? It’s Juliet.”
“How are they?”
“Scared, they know that something has been going on with their mom.” She replied.
“Of course they have. Put them on the phone.”
“Daddy?” They said together.
“Hey you two. I’m home.” I said.
“Are you with Mommy?” Jack asked, sounding a little scared.
That’s when I remembered that Juliet told me they had been with Belle like this for almost two weeks before she came and got them.
“Yes, and Mommy is starting to feel better now.” I said, looking at Belle.
“Really?” Samantha asked.
“Yes she is. You two can stay with Aunt Juliet and Uncle Andy for a couple more days. Then I’ll come pick you up and bring you home. How does that sound?”
“Good.” They replied in unison.
“Now give the phone back to Aunt Juliet.” I said.
“Ashley?”
“Can you hold on to them for a couple more days? I’ve gotten through to Belle, but I think we should have a couple of days, just the two of us. Start getting things back to normal.”
“Sure, no problem.” She said.
“Thanks Juliet.” I hung up and looked at Belle.
“Are they all right?” She asked, looking worried and guilty.
“They’re fine, Juliet has been taking good care of them.” I replied.
“I can’t believe I just left them, abandoned them like that.”
“Again, not your fault. You were going through a trauma. Besides, from what I hear, they took decent care of themselves. They were scared, but they didn’t starve or anything.” I said, trying to calm her.
“Yes, well thank God we have extremely smart children.” She said.
“Come with me.” I said, standing and holding out my hand to her.
“Where are we going?” She asked.
“I’m going to show you just how much I love you and how much I’ve missed you.” I led her upstairs to our bedroom.
I kissed her gently, pulling her against my body. I wrapped my arms around her waist and slowly lifted her shirt over her head. Soon we were both naked on the bed. I was kissing my way down her neck, licking and sucking. She let out a moan.
“Ashley, please. I need more.” She said.
“You asked for it.” I replied.
I kissed my way to her breasts, taking one into my mouth while gently squeezing the other. Belle was squirming and writhing under me. Her fingers tangled in my hair. I started to work my way down her stomach, leaving butterfly kisses as I went.
“Oh Belle, you are so beautiful.” I murmured into her skin.
“Ashley. Oh God. I need you now.” She moaned, arching into me.
I slid back up her body and captured her lips with mine. I held her hips, steadying her. With one swift movement, I was inside her. She felt so good, so tight around me. I slowly started thrusting in and out.
“Faster Ashley.” She panted, pulling away from the kiss. She looked directly into my eyes and I was lost in them.
I started to move faster and faster, picking up my pace. Pretty soon I felt that warmth pooling low in my stomach. Then I came, Belle’s walls tightening around me. A few more thrusts and I was spent. I slowly slid out of her and pulled her under the covers with me.
“Ashley.” Belle whispered.
“Mmm.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too Belle.” I said.
I wrapped my arms around her as she laid her head on my chest. I didn’t realize until that moment how much I had missed this.
