Fallen Angels

The last stop was Vic’s. I had put it off until last because it wasn’t going to be a casual meeting. It was something I didn’t really want to face but I knew I had to. It was a quite walk to his house. Alese sensed something was up and didn’t push. I was thankful for that.

We walked up to his door and knocked. Orion answered the door. “Hey Andy, Alese. Come in.” We both followed her to the living room where it seemed her and Vic had been playing cards. “Andy! Alese! Want to join? Orion here was just royally stomping me at poker.” He said as he pulled her into his lap causing her to erupt into giggles.

I gave them a small smile. “Any other day I would love to kick your ass but as of right now we have bigger problems. I didn’t want to say anything around Mike because he saw some horrible things.” Vic nodded, understanding where I was going. “Alese, Orion, what I am about to discuss and show Vic is very gruesome and very bad. I would advise you to leave but either way you will find out so stay if you want or leave. It does not hurt me any if you do not want to see.” I told both the girls looking to each of them.

Orion curled closer to Vic but shook her head. I looked to Alese who just grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze. “Okay then. What Mike found was reports and pictures from procedures that are being done in the first ring of Hell, the calmest ring of hell. It would seem Lucifer wants only the strongest and weak willed. So from what I gather from the papers, he is taking the best of the Fallen and the best of the demons and combining them into one body.” They all gave me shocked looks but I continued. “None have survived so far but from what I gather they are getting closer. However as he is doing this, the Fallen fall in numbers. There went many angels to begin with and now I fear we will go extinct if he continues. From what I understand, almost all the Fallen he has have been brainwashed so they don’t understand what is going on and they are being slaughtered without even realizing it.” I paused so everyone would have a chance to think.

I reached into my back pocket and pulled out what Mike had given me. “It is gruesome.” I warned as I handed it to Vic. I could read the shock on his face as he went over how the procedures were done. All of them had no anesthetics, they were tied to a table and practically ripped limb from limb. Whatever parts the ‘doctors’ wanted; they took from both Fallen and demon. Then they reassembled it to the stronger body in any way they wanted. It was pretty much like a sick and twisted version of Mr. Potato head with living things.

The worst part about it all was the pictures that came along with it. It showed a procedure from start to finish. By the end of it, you couldn’t tell what the person or thing was. It was horrible and made me cringe. Orion hid her face in Vic’s shoulder to try and get away from the images. She started crying. “That could have been me. Vic that could have been me. I would never have known!” he handed the pictures back and tried to comfort her.

Alese reached for the pictures and I tried to pull them away before she could see them but she was too fast. She snatched them up and went through them. She dropped down to her knees with her hand in her hands. I slid down next to her and pulled her to my chest. “I am so sorry baby. I never wanted you to see that.” I said as I rocked her and kissed her head.

Finally Vic and I got the girls calmed down enough so we could talk. “So what does this mean?” Vic asked me.
“Well I wanted to know if you though that these procedures could be done with Magik?” I asked.
He went silent and thought for a minute. “Honestly, no. I don’t know what kind of dark Magik he is using but the only ones I know that can make a living person is God and Eve.”

I let out a breath. That was a bit of a relief. It meant that so long as Lucifer didn’t find a way to use dark Magik to bring his creations back to life, we were safe for a little while longer. Well as safe as we could be.

“Thank you Vic. I am calling a meeting tomorrow after training and I’m going to let everyone know what is going on so we can plan what we want to do next.” Vic was fixing to reply when there was a knock on the door. Orion got up to answer it.

“Please tell me Andy is here.” I heard Ashley’s frantic voice. I jumped up and ran to the door. “What’s going on Ash?” I asked. He was sweaty and looked terrified.

“We lost two guards. They were on patrol with three others. The other three came back nearly dead. Something attacked them and it is headed this way. We tried to get information but they had lost so much blood that they passed out when they tried to talk. They are in the infirmary right now and I have called all the guards back and they are safely in the perimeter.” He said in a rush.

“Okay that’s good. Alese and Orion, inform everyone to meet me at the guard tower and be prepared for a fight now. Vic go tell Maya and Mike to make sure the humans are secured in the bunker but I don’t want them worried or frantic. Inform them it is for safety reasons only.” They all nodded and took off instantly. “Ashley.” I said. He just nodded and we both took to the air.

I was not expecting the sight I arrived to.

Oh mi sweet baby Andy how I have missed you guys! It has been a month away from writing and let me just tell you, it was crazy!

I got to go home for the holidays and I got a TV and a fryer! Also I just moved again so everything is still kinda crazy with that and school starting.

However I am happy to be back to writing. I missed you!
