Almost Unbreakable

Daisy had fallen asleep in my arms, and I didn't want to move her. She burrowed even farther into my chest, and I happily let her. I closed my eyes deciding our first night together would be on the couch, and let sleep become me.

I woke up to sun glinting in my eyes, and Daisy still asleep on my chest. I glanced at the clock, and realized she would have to be at work soon. I gently shook her shoulder, until she woke.

"Good morning." I said, as she cutely pawed at her eyes.

"Morning." She muttered.

"It's ten, you need to be at work soon right?" I asked.

"Yeah." She sighed. I wish she could stay with me all day, but this is her job. I had a few errands to run today anyways, and later tonight I made plans to meet up with the guys to properly introduce Daisy to them all.

She pulled out of my arms, and walked back to my-our- room. I followed after her.

"Hey, babe, are you okay?" I asked, worriedly. She was frowning as she pulled clothes out of the dresser.

"What if Brett shows up at the office today?" She said, throwing a shirt on the floor. I calmly bent down, and picked it up.

"You can tell them not to let him in." I said, brushing a piece of her hair back.

"And what about my lunch hour?" She raised an eyebrow.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"One."

"I'll come by, and take you out. Don't leave the building without me." I said.

"Okay." She sighed, and fell into my arms, "God I'm such a burden."

"Don't ever say that. I love you, I would do anything to be with you." I kissed her head.

"But this is too much for you. Andy you should have forgotten about me four years ago, I'm nothing but trouble." She sighed.

"Your my trouble." I trailed my thumb under her eye.

"I'm bringing so much pointless shit into your life! Why do you want to be with me?" She asked, incredulously.

"Daisy do you really want to know why?" I said, becoming angry.

"Yes!" She yelled exasperated.

"Because ever since I saw you walk into that club, I knew you were the only girl for me. I just knew. I knew when I kissed you in the rain for the first time, I knew when I was driving away from those dorms. I felt so alone for the last four years because your are literally the only one out there that has ever made my heart speed up just when I look at you." I said, panting, I grabbed her hand, and pressed it to my chest, "Do you feel that? Because it only beats for you."

She had tears steaming down her face by now. "I love you so much Andy." I pulled her back into my arms, and hugged her closely to me.

"Clearly I love you too." I chuckled. She smiled at me, and buried her face in my neck.

"Thank you, for everything."

"No need to thank me." I shook my head, "Now go get dressed." I said lightly tapping her ass. She giggled, and walked into the bathroom, as I watched her walk away, a weight was lifted off of my shoulders.
