Almost Unbreakable

Please Hold On.

Daisy held tightly on to my hand as we drove over to her parents house. I could tell she was scared, and rightfully so, but she needed her things. Right now she was wearing one of my Black Veil Brides shirts, and a pair of my old skinny jeans that were too small for me now, but she had to roll them up three times.

I glanced over at her to see her staring out of the window, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Her long brown hair was braided messily to the side, and with the sun glinting on her nose I could see the small nose ring that I had failed to notice earlier.

We were trying to time going over to her house perfectly so no one would be home, but I was pretty sure they were going to stay home all day just so they could catch us coming by.

As we pulled into the long driveway, I noticed that clearly someone was home. And not just one person, there were at least ten cars in the driveway. Not that a house this size wouldn't have ten cars..

"What is going on?" Daisy muttered under her breath. I parked the car, and we both go out. I immediately grabbed Daisy by the waist, and pulled her to me. She was still looking around in confusion.

"Is there maybe a back entrance or something? Maybe one where the servants go in?" I said, sarcastically, and in my best country accent. She chuckled, and shoved my arm.

"Nope." She said, as we came up to the grand oak double doors. She pulled them open, and we slipped inside.

I could hear the bustle, and voices of a lot of people. Daisy grabbed my hand, and gestured to the opposite direction of where everyone was. No one had seemed to notice us until we got to a kitchen. Standing in there was a lady wearing all white, and preparing some meal.

She whipped her head around, "Miss Daisy?!"

"Shhh, Martha." Daisy said, and I stood there dumbfounded.

"You actually have a ser-" Daisy cut me off.

"A maid, nanny, and more of a mom than mine will ever be." Daisy smiled, and hugged the woman.

"Is this the man everyone has been talking about? You ran away with him! He's so handsome." Martha said, making me chuckle.

"Martha that's Andy." She said, biting her lip, and raising her eyebrow.

"The same Andy that you met-" Daisy nodded. "Well pleased to meet you."

"You too." I smiled.

"Can you distract them while I go get my things? We don't want to be seen by anyone." Daisy pleaded.

"Oh I can try, Miss Daisy, but their in there trying to find out if what your doing is illegal." Martha exclaimed.

Daisy sighed, "Alright well, we will be out in a few minutes."

"Okay." Martha said. Daisy grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a stairwell. We quietly walked up the stairs to her bedroom. She pushed the door open and immediately grabbed her suitcase out from under her bed.

"I just unpacked this." She chuckled, as we both started throwing clothes in there. Once that one was full we filled another. Then we grabbed her toiletries, and makeup.

We finished, and Daisy had about three bags. I had no idea how we were going to carry it all without being noticed until I heard the door creak open. It was Martha.

"Let me help you." She said, grabbing a bag. I had another, and Daisy had the last one. The three of us set off downstairs, and Martha helped us all the way to my car. We packed all of the stuff in, and Daisy hugged Martha.

"Thank you so much." She said, squeezing her tightly.

"No problem." Martha smiled. "I just want you to be happy. And I know your in good hands." I slid my arm around Daisy's shoulders.

"Thank you." I nodded. All of the sudden we heard the front door slam open. Daisy burrowed deeper into my side when she saw Brett.

"God damnit, Martha, why are you helping them?" Brett yelled. Daisy's mother, and father stood behind him with a ton of other people. Martha sighed, and walked over to them.

"Because I want her to be happy." She hung her head.

"Well you know what? Her happiness comes at a price because your fired!" Brett screamed.

"You have no right to fire her!" Daisy shouted at him, and started walking to them. I held her back, and she struggled. "Your such a fucking piece of shit! Why did I ever think you loved me? You only want my families money!" I finally got her to submit to my touch, and we both got in my car and drove off.

"Wow. That was intense." I said, and looked over at her. She burst out into a fit of giggles as I did the same. In that moment it felt good to laugh, especially because of how scared both of us were.
