Found Again

riots p.o.v It was my second day in the hospital and I was alone since Alex had to go play a show. Alex has been amazing the past few days, he helps me with everything and anything and even makes me laugh when I'm in pain or getting another fucking injection. I was lying on my bed reading rocksound magazine when there was a knock on my door. I looked up and I almost dropped the magazine in shock at who it was...Scout?!... she had a bouquet of flowers in her hand, she looked up at me and smiled a small smile "hi Riot" she said quietly and slowly made her way over to the bed. "Uh, hi scout" I replied "mind if I sit?" She asked and lay the pretty bouquet of flower on my bedside locker "no of course not go ahead" I replied. We kind of sat in an awkward silence for a few seconds "so what's up scout?" I asked warily,instill not knowing what all this was about. "Riot, I just want to apologize for what happened years ago, I was a stupid teenager and I would love to be friends with you" she said quietly "is this a joke to get back at Andy or something?" I asked unsurely "no, oh god now. I've moved on and I'm very Happy now" she replied "I just always wanted to be friends with you and at the time I guess I was jealous that it appeared that Andy had more feelings for you and stuff but I also wanted to be your friend so badly but I just didn't know how. I'm so sorry riot" she said, a tear slipping down her cheek. I looked at her again and realized she was completely sincere and honest about all of this "well scout, how about we start over again? Let's fix what happened but I have to apologize too because the things I said to you weren't exactly pleasant so I'm sorry." I said "apology accepted then" she smiled "will you accept mines?" She asked "of course I will scout, friend then?" I asked and she smiled widely "friends!" She said enthusiastically and smiled again. "Sooo tell me about the new guy you have eyes for then? What's his name?" I said and she laughed "his names Ryan. He is the most amazing fantastic being to walk the earth!" She said and I laughed. We sat the rest of the night gossiping. I told her everything about Andy and stuff too. "Oh my god riot! I can't believe he did that to you! What the fuck! He needs his ass whooped!!" She said getting worked up "I can't even be arsed at the minute but I'll find out what's really going on when I get back, I told him to leave yesterday to because I didn't want to deal with his shit. Y'know the whole thing about me like fucking myself off a nine foot stage and like almost killing myself?" I said and she chuckled "yeah I seen it online, it looked like a fucking horrible suicide attempt" she said and we laughed "well did you know I've been in the hospital a week now and he didn't even visit me at all for the first three fucking days?!" I said "are you fucking serious?!" She exclaimed "deadly" I replied. Scout shook her head "know what? Fuck him, when you get out of here we're going to have girl time and watch a shit load of movies and eat a shit load of junk food. And after you get your bandages of we are going to party fucking hard!" She said and we laughed. Alex eventually joined us later that night after his show and after he got showered and changed. We all sat and talked and laughed for a while. About two hours later scout got up to go home. She lightly hugged me, careful as not to hurt me. "Bye riot, I'll be back tomorrow to see how you're doing" she said and went to leave but not before turning around, pointing at Alex, who had his back turned, and winked and gave the thumbs up. I laughed and she smiled back, gave a small wave and left. I think scout and I will actually become good friends now, which I am really happy about. I can see she's a changed person and obviously happily in love. I turned to Alex who was still staring at me. "What?" I asked him "nothing" he laughed and sat back in his chair, crossed his arms and continued to look at me with a small smile playing on his lips "what?" I asked again. He just smiled at me "riot, do you have any idea how beautiful you really are? Inside and out?" he said being serious "Alex, I know my face is busted up and I have stuff broken but trust me, I really don't need my ego boosted anymore its high enough as it is" I laughed and he joined in. "Its not an ego boost, its a compliment, in all seriousness" he replied "well thank you Alex" I said "anytime riot" I moved over and patted the bed, he smiled and got in beside me. We sat and talked the rest of the night. I was started to drift off to sleep when I heard Alex say "goodnight riot, I wish you knew I am still utterly in love with you" he sighed and drifted to sleep. He must have thought I was sleeping too. My tummy just got butterflies when he said that. Am I falling for Alex all over again. Maybe its a good thing. With Alex, you're guaranteed not to get hurt. And I have to admit...I do still have feelings for Alex...strong feelings.
