"Bye mom!" I called, and shut the door. It was monday again and I was going to walk to school with Andy today. I really couldent care anymore if people saw me with him, he was the best friend I ever had, and I wanted to spend most of my time with him. I walked down the street, and knocked on Andys door. He appeared at the door, grinning at me. "Hey short arse."
"Hey gassel legs, how are the tattoos?"
"There good, how are yours?"
"There good, been wearing jumpers around my mom all the time though." I said, and he laughed, yelling bye to his mom, and shutting the door, putting his backpack on his shoulders.

"So what you going to do about Joe?" He asked, and I sighed, looking down. "I...I don't really know. Just going to try and avoid him and all the rest of the shitty drug addicts I used to call my friends."
"Good on ya. I mean, all they were doing what trying to get you high all the time."
"I know, well I don't need them, I've got you." I said, and he chuckled. I saw Joe's car drive past, and I looked down, hoping that he would just drive straight past. Luckily he did and I looked back up, talking to Andy.

We got to school and I saw Gemma stare at me the minute I walked in. They were with the boys, everyone apart from Joe which was a blessing. She nudged Elena, and she stared at me too. "They staring at you?"
Andy asked, and I nodded. "Don't pay any aattention to them short arse." He said, and I laughed, looking at him. "I wont Gassel legs."
"Good." He said, I noticed he had a choclate bar sticking out his back pocket. "Oi you kept that quiet give me some." I said, and he laughed pulling it out. "It's a but squashed and melted cause I sat on it this morning, but i'm sure it still tastes fine." He said passing me some. "Oh I don't care it's still chocolate." I said, putting it in my mouth. I felt Elena's eyes burn into my back, and Andy noticed that it was making me uncomfortable. "Hey, don't let them get to you. Trust me, there only jelouse."
"I hate people starring at me though."
"It only means you stick out from the crowd and are better than the rest." He said, and I smiled at him. "Thanks."

The bell went and I sighed. "Come on, lesson one and two of six." I said, and Andy laughed, and we walked to lesson. When I got there Elena had sat in my usual seat by Gemma, but I didn't care. "Just come sit by me." Andy said and I nodded, following him and sitting down. Once sir had finally finished talking, he set us work for the whole double lesson. "Oi, since when did you like Emos?" I heard Elena call, and Gemma giggle. I sighed and just looked down, hiding my face with my hair. I senced Andy stiffen, his pen poised in mid air. "Oi I'm talking to you." She said, and I continued to look down. "Actually, I think she likes the Emo! I knew it from the minute she started defending him." Gemma said, and the boys started to notice what was going on now. "Awww stop bullying poor little defenceless Lzzy. Seeing as she's still virgin like her Emo boyfriend." Danny said, joining in. I felt my face turning reder and reder.

"I think the suit. There both as puny as eachother."
"I know, neither of them are anything special. She's probably going to turn Emo now too, then they can slit there wrists together to show there undying love."
"Or even better, hang themseleves at the same time next to eachother."
"Nahh, bit morbid, how about poision."
"Oooo I like that. Even so, anyway they do it will make the world a better place."

"Actaully she's 10 times better than any of you will be and is the strongest person I've ever known and she's nothing like you think she is so back off or I'll fucking make you..." Andy said through clenched teeth, turning round to face them. They all shut up, and a smiled crept up on my face. He turned back and leaned closer to me. "Don't listen to them, your amazing." He whispered, and I smiled, looking at him. "Thank you Gassle legs. No one's ever stood up for me before."
"No problem, I'll always stick up for you." He said, and I smiled, looking back down at my doodles.

I hadnt seen Joe all day thank god, and it was the end of school at last. "Want to come back to mine? Mom's cooking Pizza.." Andy said, and I smiled. "Yeah sounds awesome." I said as we turned the corner. I froze. Joe was there with everyone else, all gathered around his car. He spotted me and started to walk towards me. I started to walk quickly beside Andy, when Joe grabbed me from behind, and pulled me towards him. "Hey Lzzy babe let me explain."
"Theres nothing to explain Joe nothing but your a dirty little cheat and I want nothing to do with you." I said, trying to get out of his grasp but he held me there tightly. "Ouch, that hurt Lzzy. I never knew you could find the courage to say that to me."
"Well I can because it's the truth."
"Come on Lzzy you know it was your fault. If you had given me what I wanted I wouldent of done it." I stared at him in disbelife. "Don't you fucking dare pin this onto me! It was all you!" I said, my voice raising slightly. "Well it's your fault and you know it. Unless you give it me now and i'll stay loyal." He said, and I felt his hand run up the inside of my thigh. "No for god sake Joe let go!"

I yelled, and the next thing I knew Joe was off me, and had hold of him by ther hair. "You ever touch her again..." Andy said, and I could see the pure anger and hatred in Andys eyes. Joe got himself free and squared up to Andy. "What the fuck are you going to do about it Emo?" He said and Andy punched him in the face. He got on top of him, and kept punching him. His nose started to bleed, and his lip was split. Joe punched Andy in the face hard, and knocked him off him. Joe punched him again, and Andy stumbled backwards slightly. "Stop it both of you!" I yelled, but they ingnored me. Andy got straight to his feet, and punched Joe so hard that he fell backwards.

Andy grabbed my hand, and pulled me out of the school gates. He didn't speak to me the whole way home, and I could see the anger in his eyes. "Thank you Andy." I whispered and he stopped, turning to me. "Listen to me, he comes anywhere near you come straight to me. He's a piece of shit how dare he fucking touch you when you didn't want him to." He said, kicking a can that was in the street. I had never seen his like this before. "Why the fuck didn't I just pull him away from you the minute he grabbed you. I'm so fucking stupid!" He yelled, picking up a stone and throwing it hard. "Andy stop it your scaring me." I said, my voice cracking slightly. He turned back to me and pulled me to him. He wrapped his arms around me, and I burst into tears into his chest. "Shhh.....Shhh i'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you I just hate that I waited that long until smashing his face in."

"It's not you it's that he keeps trying. I don't want to Andy I don't." I cried, and he grabbed my bag off me, and put it on his shoulder. He held me as I cried, and we walked the rest of the way to his house. We got inside, and he grabbed a tissue, and gently dabbed at my eyes. "I don't want to do it Andy. Why is he trying to force me?"
"Because he's a twat and he thinks that all girls fall at his feet. Like I said, he comes anywhere near you again come to me and I'll protect you." He said, and I giggled slightly. "Are you my dark knight in shining armour?" I asked, making a batman referance. "Why yes I am." He said, and I giggled. "See, thats the sight I like to see. You smiling. It's amazing your smile." He said, and I blushed. "Yours is amazing to." I said, and he grinned. "I know." He said, flicking his hair. I laughed and he picked me up, carrying me up to his room and plonking me onto the bed.

"Well that didn't look weird at all." I said, and he smirked. "I don't know what you mean."
"If someone looked at us through the window they would think we were together."
"Yeah, and about to play some chess." He said, and I burst out laughing. "C...Chess?" "I said between laughs. "Yeah well it could be code word for sex, you never know." He said and I continued to laugh. I finally stopped and he hugged me tight. We pulled away slightly, and our foreheards were resting on eachothers. Our lips were inchs away from eachother, and I could feel my lips tingling slightly. I wanted him to kiss me so badly, but his lips seemed to just hover there. I heard the door downstairs open, and Andys mom walk up the stairs. Andy let go of me, and went out to him mom. I sat there, wondering why I wanted him to kiss me so badly. Why did I? I never wanted to kiss him before, so why now? It scared me slightly, so I pushed it to the back of my mind, and tried to forget the feeling.
