The Past was a Lie and the Future's a Bitch

Horrible Phonecalls

Zaria's Grandma's P.O.V Date: December 1st

I pulled into my driveway happy to home finally. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is having Zaria here but then again she doesn't leaving her room unless she needs something so it might be like she's not even here.

I walk in the house see Dave on his lap top. "What are you doing," I ask as I go to the kitchen.

"I'm checking my Facebook," he reply's. "Where's Zaria?"

"Is she not here," I say schocked and confused.

"I haven't seen her come in at all. I figured she was with you," he says just as confused as I am.
"No, are you sure she didn't come in when you were taking a nap?" I walked to the stairs about to go up them.

"I haven't taken a nap, so yea, I'm sure."

Damn where is she? She has never done this before and if she was going to go somewhere she would've came and dropped her stuff of first.

Just then the phone started to ring. I walked over to it hoping for it to be Zaria but the caller I.D crushed my hopes.

"Hello," I greeted.

"Yes, Carry," I heard someone say from the other end.

"Yes," I say getting a little annoyed. "What do you want."

"Um, I don't know how to put this lightly, so, I'm just gonna say it," she paused. "Your granddaughter got hit by a truck and was hauled off to a hospital."

She said it so calmly it took me a few seconds for it to register. "WHAT," I yelled. "When?"
"It was right after school got out," she said.

"That was 3 hours ago," I shouted. "Why didn't you call here before 6, and have Dave call me at work."

"I-I don't know," she stuttered.

"Well you should." I hung up on her to angry to talk anymore but knowing I had to make the fateful call to her mother and much worst her father. He was going to flip so badly, I couldn't say the same about her.

I called her mother first and she flipped but not that bad. She said that she was going to be there as soon as she can sense she just had to line 2 and 1/2 hours away from here. We ended the call and I dialed her dads numbered.

I didn't want to make this call at all but I pressed the green call button anyway. He picked up on the 4th ring.

"Hello, Carry, is everything ok," he asked knowing I'd never call him unless something was up.

"No, George, nothing is ok," I sighed.

"What happened? Is she ok? Where is she?" Worry and terror over came his voice.

"Zaria was hit by a truck and is in a hospital in Orlando," I said really slowly.

He didn't say anything for a couple minutes and when he did it was a jumble of questions. A new question starting before the one before it stopped. The one thing I heard before he hung up though was, "I'm going to go and see her before anything bad happens." That statement had me more confused then I was 5 mintues ago. Something bad has already happened. What could be worse?
