The Past was a Lie and the Future's a Bitch

CC's P.O.V Date: December 23

I looked up right as I saw the seat belts button turn on signaling that we are about to land.
Home at last. Even though it's not really home anymore.

I sighed, buckled my seat belt, and starred out the window. I saw people in bright orange vest hurrying to get things ready for our landing. They were bring the stairs over and those cart things to take our luggage. It wasn't long that we actually got to use those things sense the airplane landed a lot quicker than I thought.

I grabbed my carry on and walked to luggage claim. I got half way there before someone noticed me and came running.

"Oh my gosh," a girl with black hair with purple tips, who reminded me of Sofie a little, said. "Your CC from Black Veil Brides. I can't believe I'm meeting you. I am such a huge fan, can you please sign my bag?"

"Sure, what's your name?" I asked her.

"Oh, my name is Jessie," she beamed.

I laughed a little as I grabbed her bag and signed it. "Thank you Jessie for being a fan and actually knowing who I am. Do you wanna take a picture as well?"

She starred at me with huge eyes as she shook her head yes. She handed her phone to who I think is her mom and stood next to me. Her hands were in front of her with her sleeves pulled over them and she looked at the ground. So I threw my arm around her shoulder, leaned close to her face (still facing the camera), and made the goofiest face I could make. I heard her giggle, then she threw her arm around my waist and made a goofy face also.

Her mom snapped the photo and her and Jessie left.

I grabbed my luggage and headed to the parking lot so I could grab a taxi. I really wish that I could have caught the same flight as Jake and Jinxx but I had to grab everything from the hotel and say goodbye to everyone. It didn't take long for me to get a taxi and be on my way.

I told the taxi driver my address and we were off. It took us a while to get there because of the damn traffic but when we arrived the only thing I cared about was a beer and my bed.

I carried everything up the stairs to my apartment and took out my keys. When I looked up from digging in my pocket I noticed I piece of paper on the door. I grabbed it and tried to see what it said but it was way to dark to see it, so I stuffed it in my pocket and unlocked the door.

The door wouldn't unlock though. I kept trying and trying but it wouldn't work, finally I took out the piece of paper and my phone to see what it said.

When I saw what it said I lost all the air in my body. It was a fucking eviction notice. What the hell I shouldn't have one of these, damn it to hell. What am I going to do now.

I stuffed the notice back in my pocket and called Juliet.

The phone rang and I thought that she wouldn't pick up sense it was so late but right as it was about to go to voice mail she picked up.

"CC," she asked tiredly. "What do you want?"

"Sorry for waking you up Juliet but I just got home and there's an eviction notice on my door and I can't get into my house," I explained. "I was wondering if I could crash on the couch tonight."

"Uh.. yea sure," she mumbled. "I'll unlock the door and you can just walk in."

"Thanks Jules," I said. "I'll be over in about 10 minutes."

She said goodbye and hung up. I felt really bad for waking her up but I didn't think of anyone else until I had the phone ranging in my ear. I grabbed my bags again and headed down to my car. When I got the bags in the back, I started the car and was down the road.

One more thing to add on the list of things that are going oh so fucking perfect in my life right now. I sighed deeply and turned my attention back on the road. I passed by a couple of bars with drunk people stumbling out and a few trying to fight in the front. Man I would love to have a few beers right now but we all made a promise to not drink around Juliet while she is the way she is. Should only be a few more weeks till then and I bet Andy will be glad to be able to drink in his own home again....Andy has to move though and he won't be able to drink around Zaria...that's fucking great. He's going to be pissed.

Speaking of homes I need to figure out what I'm going to do about the eviction and find out where I'm going to live. I will need to get my stuff out of the apartment and move somewhere new. Maybe I could move to the town Andy, Juliet, and Zaria will be moving to. I mean Amy did talk to me about giving Zaria drumming lessons because she wanted to learn but how would Andy see it. Would he see it as me trying to get close to his little sister and trying to get "friendly" or would he see it as a friend trying to help give his little sister closer to a dream she might have? Any way around it Andy will probably get ideas going on about me liking his little sister and I won't be able to convince him otherwise.

I make a right turn and see Andy's and Juliet's apartment building. I pull in right next to their car and kill the engine. I rest my head on the steering wheel and just sit there. I let my mind wonder a little before I got my ass out of the car, grabbed my bag, and headed up to their apartment. I was about to knock when I remembered that Juliet said that she would just unlock the door and I could just walk in.

I walked in to a sleeping Juliet on the couch with both cats sleeping around her. I sat my stuff down right next to the couch and put my shoes by the door. When I finally got to Juliet I felt bad that I had to wake her up but I knew it must be uncomfortable for her to sleep on a couch.
I gently shook her but she shoot right up and hit me square in the face.

"Oh my gosh CC," she exclaimed. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to. I was going to wait up till you got here so I could talk to you but I just fell asleep and I guess you waking me up scared me or something. I'm sorry."

"It's ok Jules," I laugh as I rub my face. "I just thought that's where you fell asleep and I thought it would be uncomfortable for you so I woke you up." I give a small laugh and a smile to show her I'm not mad and it's ok. "What did you need to talk to me about."

She scratched her head and yawned. "Nothing really I just wanted to see if you were ok. I mean, I know how much you cared for her and for her to just up and leave you and to take the dogs also is just cruel. Not to talk about her doing it while you're on tour and can't talk to her about it. It's just not"

"It's ok Jules, I'm over it, seriously," I said truthfully. "Yea I'm upset she did it while I'm on tour and can't figure out why she did it. Yea I'm mad she took my "kids" and didn't tell me. But I truly don't care anymore, I've gotten over it. And for the dogs I could always get new ones. It's not the end of the world." I gave her another smile and headed to the kitchen. "You mind if I make myself a sandwich?"

Juliet shook her head and followed me into the kitchen. "So, how did you get over her so quickly? Does it involve someone else? I mean the only people you have really been hanging around with have been Andy, Alexandria, Chris, and Amy. Oh, let me guess." I turned toward her scared she might actually guess it but her answer was completely different than what I had thought. "It's Andy isn't it. He is very sexy, I could see how you wouldn't be able to resist."

I let out a laugh while pulling out the salami. "Oh yes, you guessed it. I am madly in love with Andy. I guess everyone who has shipped Candy should be excited for the ship is about to sail." I looked over to see Juliet nearly crying from laughter.

"I KNEW IT," Juliet yelled which cause Femme to meow at her. "I knew it was only a matter of time before you found your true lover. I do emit though I was kinda hoping for Andely a little bit more."

I shook my head and chuckled. I went and put some MW and pickles on my sandwich and started to eat it. "Is there anything else you wanted to talk to me about?"

Juliet tapped her index finger on her chin thinking then I could see the light bulb go on. "What are you going to do about the eviction? Where are you going to live?"

I just shrugged my shoulders because I honestly didn't know. I had know idea if I could even afford a new place. It would only be me paying for it and I don't think I could pull it off.

"You need to think of something. I know Andy and I need to find a new place for Alex to be able to live with us. Maybe we can help you find a place." Juliet started to walk from the kitchen and back to the living room.

I decided to join her and followed her. "Well I don't even know if I could afford it. The last apartment I had, I shared with Lauren and we both payed the bills but I don't know if I would be able to do it on my own. Well, I'm scared I won't be able to."

Juliet looked at me with amusement and did a slight chuckle. "If you don't try you won't know and if it fails then I'm sure Andy would let you stay with us." She flipped through some channels on the T.V and stopped on L.A Ink.

"You know I can't ask you to do anything like that," I whispered and starred at the ground.

Juliet chuckled again. "That's why I offered, you silly Billy." Juliet got up and stretched herself out the best she could. "I'm going to go back to sleep." She got a few feet before stopping and turning back to me. "I would really like if you could possibly look for a house for Andy, Alex, and I tomorrow. You know somewhere small that doesn't have a huge school. If you can't I totally get it but we only have till the end of January and Andy and I won't be able to because we're going to be at Chris and Amy's and yea."

I laughed and shook my head at her. "I don't mind, I'll look after I stop by my apartment and see what's going on so if I need to find a new place I can look as well."

Juliet beamed a smile and continued to bed. I watched a few shows on T.V but eventually passed out.

I walked the last of my stuff to my car and got in. Turns out that I got kicked out because I had a really late payment, even though I had it set up where it was suppose to take the money out each month, and they already had a family set up to live there. I really don't mind though if I fail at actually being a grown up and living by myself then I get to live with Alex, Juliet, and Andy. I have something to fall back on.

I start to drive toward some of the small towns outside of L.A but I can't really find nothing that would work for them so I continue a little father. I drive for another two hours and end up in a town called Solvang, California.

It looked like a small cozy town and when I passed by the welcome sign on the outside of the town it said it's population was 5,000. I soon found the City Hall and walked in to see a woman with a really tight bun and a suit. She looked like one of those uptight, I'm better than you, type of person.

I walked up to her and it took her a few minutes for her to even notice I was there. When she finally looked up she gave me a judgmental look but quickly cleared her face.

She turned her chair towards me and asked, "May I help you sir?"

"Uh, yes," I said. "I would love to know if there is any houses in this area that are for sale." I made sure to be very nice to make her feel guilty.

She turned her chair towards her computer and started to type. I leaned on the counter and waited. After a few minutes I heard a printer going and saw her turning her chair a different direction.

She handed me the papers saying, "These are the houses in the area that are for sale. It shows how many rooms there are and what they are. It also has the prices and when some of the showings are and if you need a showing but one isn't on here, there is a number that you can call. Will that be all sir?"

I gave her a polite smile, told her thank you, and left.

I got into my car and started to go over the pages. There was 5 different pages, front-to-back, of houses. I realized I didn't know Andy and Juliet's price range so I dialed Andy's number.

"Hey CC," Andy answered. "What's up?"

"Nothing really," I replied. "I just needed to know the price range you have for a house and how many bedrooms and bathrooms you want. I also found a small enough place for Alex that all of you would like but it's a good two hours away from L.A."

"Well shit , really wasn't expecting it to be that far away but if it works then it works," Andy said a little angry. "I think Juliet and I want a three bedroom and two bathroom house and we can't go past $450,000. Thank you for helping us by the way."

"No problem man. This can actually let me look for a new house as well since I got evicted."

"Wait, you got evicted?"

"CC got evicted," I heard Chris ask.

"Yes, I got evicted for some reason but I'm gonna look for either a house or a apartment here," I said as I grabbed a marker and marked out the houses that wouldn't work for them.

"That sucks man."

I started up the car. "Tell me about it. Well I'm gonna get off and start looking for some houses, I'll send you pictures of the outside and inside."

"Works for me," Andy said. "Seeya man."

I hung up and headed for the cheapest house on the list that wasn't crossed out. When I pulled up to the house I saw things that needed to be fixed and that it wouldn't be worth it.

Little by little the houses kept getting crossed out. I finally pulled up to a house that had four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms for only $375,000. I was gray with a porch that curved the whole front and led to the side yard where there was a pool. It had a three door garage and a small little balcony. I looked down to see the times of the showings and saw that there was one in a half hour.

While I was waiting I took a picture of the outside and sent it to Andy and Juliet. I also sent a text to Jinxx asking him some questions on the house.

Jinxx- Well, it's a pretty good deal. If you get four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms for that price plus a pool its a pretty sweet deal.

Me- I just wanted to make sure this is my first time looking for a house that will actually be bought. And what if the inside is completely trashed?

Jinxx- Then you estimate in your head the prices of the damages and see if it's still worth it. How does the outside look?

I quickly sent him the same picture I sent Andy and Juliet.

Jinnx- Ok that's a fucking steal even if the inside has damages they can't be that awful. All you'll need to do is figure out how much the first down payment is and they will have there own home. Why would they want a three bedroom house anyway?

Me- I have no idea and plus it's a four bedroom not a three. and Juliet gave me her bank card so I could get out enough money to make sure what ever house I picked out, and that they liked, they would get.

Jinxx- Juliet is getting smart lol...I have to go dude...I gotta get a shower then I'm going out to dinner.

Me- ohhhhhh does Jinxx have a date? ;-)

Jinxx- It doesn't matter if Jinxx does or doesn't have a date.

Me- Whatever man. Seeya.

Jinxx- Bye and text me if you need anymore help.

Me- Will do.

I got off the phone and saw a lady pull up to the house. When I looked down I saw that the showing started in a few minutes. I got out the car and walked up to the house.

"Sir?" I heard a lady ask.

I turned to see a woman with brown curly hair with suit and high heels on.

"Uh, yea," I stutter.

"Would you like to view the house or something?" She smiled.

I nodded my head and walked into the house.

"Well I will leave you to it then, there are pamphlets on the kitchen counter and you can go anywhere in the house."

With that I was exploring the house that Andy, Juliet, and Zaria might be living in. From what I saw there was only floor damages and the walls needed a serious print job. I continued to take pictures of the house and send it to Andy, Juliet, and now Jinxx.

The house had a lot of rooms and when I say a lot I mean a lot. It had the obvious ones like a kitchen, dinning room, living room, three bathrooms, and four bedrooms. Then it had a study, sun room, and a half complete basement. Since they had a lot of rooms a lot of the rooms were somewhat small.

I sent the last picture to them and I got a text from Jinxx saying, "If they don't take that fucking house I will dammit!" Andy and Juliet basically said the same thing, that they wanted to know want the catch. I kinda agree with Andy and Juliet. I wanted to know why the house is so perfect but so cheap.

I walked up to the lady and noticed that nobody else has checked out the house. "Um mam?" I tapped her shoulder. She turned around scared then it looked like she remembered that someone else was here. "I would like to know what are the problems with this house."

She started to walk toward the kitchen but noticed I wasn't following so she stopped and motioned for me to follow. I followed her in the kitchen and walked over to the sink with her. When I noticed that she had the faucet on but no water coming out.

"We turned the water on for the house showings but we soon figured out that the pluming was messed up and that in the sun room there's a hole in the roof." She talked as if she was the most bashful person ever and it kinda reminded me of Zaria.

I shook my head in understanding and said, "Well, I'm actually looking at this house for a friend so I will talk to them and see if they still want to buy this house, okay?"

This time she shook her head in understanding and I went outside and text Andy and Juliet. I told them what rooms the house had, the fact that the pluming didn't work, and the fact that there was a hole in the roof. Andy text me saying that Juliet was with him now and that they both wanted the house still but they wanted to know how much the down payment was.

I walked all the way back to her and asked her how much it was. She said that they wanted $5,000 for the first payment then they wanted at least $1,500 every month till the house was payed off.

I text them that and they were both exited since they knew that they could afford it and that they found a house were they could keep Zaria.

I told the woman that I would be back with the money and that Andy and Juliet wanted the house. She was so happy that she was jumping up and down and it kinda made me laugh. The only thing I needed to do know is find myself a small house or an apartment.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while but for the past couple of weeks I haven't been around my laptop and I don't like using my phone to do this.I will hopefully be returning to, if not twice a week to once a week till I get back in the grove of things. I went to Warped Tour on the 2nd though and it was the most amazing thing ever. I got to meet Johnnie Guilbert, Bryan Starzzzz, and all of Falling In Reverse. I got to meet Jacky Vincent twice, once at the FIR signing and the second at his own personal signing and it was the best thing ever I was literally crying.

I was also wondering if you guys could help me with the CC situation. I don't know if I should have him just find an apartment or have him live with Andy, Juliet, and Zaria/Alexandria for a few weeks. You guys decide.
