The Past was a Lie and the Future's a Bitch

Andy's P.O.V Date: December 21

Alex is finally done with school so we don't have to stay at that fucking motel anymore. Man, the bill was outragest but we did stay there for about two weeks. I just want the quort day to come, which is tomorrow, so we can go to mom and dads house for Christmas and my birthday. I'm happy that Juilet is willing to fly to their house so we can be together. I just hope she's doing ok, why did this have to happen. I'm just glad that we agreed not to keep them, I'm not ready for that, yet.

Focus on driving Andy, you don't need to let your mind wonder. You just need to worry about getting to Orlando right now, nothing else. I looked over and saw the Alex was fast asleep. How the hell can she sleep so much? She sleeps all the fucking time. I look in the rearview mirror and see CC on his phone while drinking the monster that Alex bought him. Why did she have to buy him one of those? I feel really bad for him, though. I mean, he really loved Luaren and she just goes and leaves him out of the blue. Its not right but then again I do see him looking at Alex a lot and I'd be damned if I let him hurt her just because he's lonely.

"Pull over, now," Alex screamed.

I quickly pulled over to the side of the rode confused to all hell. When I looked over to see why she had me pull over, she was hanging out the door puking her guts out.

"What the fuck," CC exclaimed from the back. "What's the matter."

After she was done she grabbed her bottle of soda I got her and tried her best to clean out her mouth. "I get car sick sometimes, but I've never really puked before. I just got really bad headaches and would feel like I was going to puke. Fuck!"

"Maybe it's because of all that's happening," I suggested. "You know, all the stress and stuff."
She just shrugged and motioned for me to continue. I did after a little refusal just to make sure she was ok but she just said she was fine and that if she gets sick again that there would be nothing for her to puke anymore.

I sighed and put the car in drive. "So this whole time you weren't asleep?"

"Yep," she replied. "And just so you know, you mumble when your in deep thought."

"I've been told," I chuckled as I pulled onto the lane going to Orlando.

Alex went back to laying her head on the window with both air vents on her and CC went back to whatever he was doing on his phone.

Amy's P.O.V

I'm so happy! My daughter is coming back again. I can spend time with her, finally. I felt bad because I couldn't go and see her while she was staying in that motel with Andy and CC. Why can't I know my way around this area? But she's coming back, she'll get her X-rays redone and then we'll hang out. I already planned for us to go shopping when we get back home. I mean we still have to buy her Christmas. I already started with some band merch but other than that I have no idea what else she would like and not knowing what she already has is very difficult as well.

Andy called a few hours ago telling us that he was heading our way but they haven't showed up yet. I'm starting to worry. According to both Andy and CC it only takes like and hour and a half to get here or there, so where are they?

"Honey." I felt Chris's arms go around me. "It'll be okay they're probably just running a little late. They might of went to a gas station on the way here or something. They will get here soon though. Okay?"

I shook my head yes and continued to look out the window. Chris wouldn't let up though. He started to kiss my neck and in between kisses he'd tell me that everything was alright and that I didn't need to worry myself. I started to relax but that's when Chris's phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and showed me that it was Andy. I quickly grabbed the phone and swiped it.

"Where are you guys," I said without hesitation.

"A very nice welcome," I heard Alex say on the other end. "I was expecting Chris, where is he?"

"I'm sorry about the welcome, Alex, I'm just worried and I know you guys should have been here by now, and yes," I hurried. "And Chris is right here next to me I picked up for him." Chris glared at me for that one. "Where's Andy?"

I heard a little shuffling and a few curse words then Andy was on. "Sorry mom I was getting Alex's wheelchair out, and I told her, to call dad, to tell him that sense we're running late that we'd just meet you at the hospital which is where we are at right now."

"Oh ok we'll be right over," I chripped. "I love you and we'll see you soon and tell that to Alex and CC as well."

I heard a muffled ok then the line dropped.

Chris and I headed out to the car and to the hospital. When we got there Alex was already doing her X-rays and stuff and Andy and CC were in the waiting room.

"MOM, DAD," CC yelled.

"Who gave him a monster," Chris whispered in my ear which made me laugh.

It wasn't long before CC had us in a hug and of course we hugged him back. Andy walked up and gave us hugs and started to explain why they were late.

"She got car sick," I asked.

"Yea," CC basically shouted which got a few hateful glaces from the other people in the room.
"And it went everywhere, good thing we pulled over before it happened."

"And sorry about CC, Alex bought him a monster cause she didn't believe he would get that hyper," Andy laughed as he shook his head.

Chris and I joined him as CC started to jump up and down while pointing. Next thing we know he's running toward something. Then we hear someone screaming but when our gaze finally finds CC we figured out that Alex was the one screaming out of joy as CC ran up to her. It brought a smile to my face.

"Thank God that's over with," Alex groaned. "They started yelling at me when I told them I was hungry, it's not my fault I puked my guts up on the way up here, I mean, damn."

We pushed Alex out to the cars and got her settled in Andy's rental. We drove to McDonald's and got something to eat and we went to the hotel. Andy arrived a few minutes before Chris and I but all well. When we all got to the room, we started to dig into our food. We were about finished when I noticed Alex hadn't really ate hers.

"Are you alright honey?" I put my head on her knee and gave a gental squeeze.

She shook her head and said, "Yea, I still feel a little sick from the car and the food doesn't feel like its going down right." She closed her eyes for a minute. "Plus this headache doesn't help."

I got in my purse and gave her some Advil.

"Maybe she's just nervous about tomorrow," CC suggested.

"You really aren't as dumb as you look," Andy snickered.

"I don't know if I should take it as an insult or a compliment," CC said sarcastically.

Andy shrugged and smirked. "Just getting pay back from the airport. You thought I would forget didn't you."

CC mumbled something under his breath as Alex tried to get up. I quickly pulled her back down and told her that she shouldn't be trying to get up by herself just yet.

"But I have to go to the bathroom and I sure ain't letting any of you take me in there and help me," Alex argued.

"Mom she's did it every time when we were at the motel," Andy explained.

I sighed in defeat and let her go, I have a feeling her like of music wasn't the only thing her and Andy shared.

One thing that bugged me though, is the feeling that she doesn't like me. "Andy," I called. "Does Alex have a problem with her other mom that would make her hate me or something."

As soon as I was done with the question both Andy and CC stiffened. I gave them both the mother look and they straighten up even more. I knew it was just a matter of seconds before one of them broke.

"I don't think this would be the right time to talk about it," Andy quickly said.

"And why not," I replied still giving them the look.

"Because Alex could walk in during the middle of me telling you and that would be bad," Andy whispered almost like it pained him just to almost talk about it.

I lighten up and so did they. "Your going to tell me the minute she goes to sleep," I commanded and they both shook their heads yes.

I looked over at Chris who was laughing about what just happened as he flipped through the channels.

"HOCKEY," both Chris and Andy yelled when he hit the sports channels.

"Dear Lord save us all," I joked as I heard the bath room door open.

Alex soon was entering the living room area of the hotel and screamed, "HOCKEY!" I knew that she had more in common with Andy.

"And where am I going to sleep as well," she said when she got closer to the couch.

"I never even thought of that," Chris said while still starring at the T.V.

I shook my head at them and when I looked at CC he was starring at Alex. It looked like he was just starring off into space though, so I didn't think to much of it.

"Well you can either stay in the other bedroom we have or you can stay with Andy and CC when they get a room," I answered Alex as I starred at Andy and CC hoping they'd get the hint to go and get a room before the lobby closed.

CC looked over and I think he got the hint cause he hit Andy on the leg and told him that they needed to go and get a room. When they left Alex grabbed her stuff that she brought in and headed toward the other room.

"I'm going to go lay down and see if that helps," she said as she opened the door and headed in.

I was kinda sad about the fact that we can't really hang out with her but soon she'll be home and we'll be able to do all kinds of thing. I quickly got up and headed toward her room. I can't believe I forgot to ask her what she wanted for Christmas. I opened her door to find her already laying on the bed.

"Yes Amy," she said as she sat up.

"I, um.... I was wondering what you would have liked for Christmas," I asked.

She burrowed her eyebrows. "You don't have to get me anything, not like I get anything anyways."

I walked over and sat next to her on the bed and put my arm around her shoulder.

"I want to get you something," I spoke softly. "Your my daughter and that's what parents should do. I don't know about your life before, but no matter what has happened you'll still be my daughter and I will always love you, I always have. So please, tell me what you would like that I can get."

I saw her smile as her eyes got wet. "I guess a laptop or a camera, I already got a guitar and amp, which were the only real things that I ever wanted and got for Christmas/birthday."

"So you play the guitar?"

"Yep." She smiled even bigger. "I've played for about 4 years. I also right songs and stuff the next thing I was going to learn was drums from my friend Kyle but I guess I can't now."

"I'm sure CC would try and teach you."

She gave a half smile and nodded her head. "I don't even have a drum set, so I wouldn't be able to practice. I guess it's for the best."

"You never know till you try and CC has like, three drum sets, I'm pretty sure he'd give you one. If not, then just wait."

She sighed and said that she was really tired and wanted to go to sleep. I left the room and went to tell Chris what we were going shopping for.
