Chapter 6
Eden's P.O.V.
Why does everyone think Helena is so perfect? She is absolutely nothing compared to me. I was Davey's favorite before she came along. I HATE her with every fiber of my being and want to see her dead. Eric came to me and said, "I have information on Helena." I smirk and say, 'Spill." Eric replies, 'The other night she let a target go. She was also seen talking to him tonight." If someone is a target you have to kill them, she is breaking sacred laws. Little miss innocent isn't so innocent after all. Unfortunately it isn't enough to report her to the High Council yet. I say to Eric, "We need something bigger. This is good evidence but we need more. Keep trailing her." Eric replies, "Yes mistress", then leaves. I smile evilly and say, "Revenge is sweet."
Jinxx's P.O.V.
Finally we were done with the tour and going home. I walk into my house and Sammi runs up to me and says, 'Baby I've missed you so much. I'm so glad you're home." I kiss her passionately and when I pull away I ask, "Sammi where is the book of the undead?" She says, "On the bookshelf." I grab it and begin flipping pages. After a couple of minutes I find the passage I'm looking for. It reads, ' A vampire may let a victim go because of feelings of remorse or guilt. In rare cases it means they could be mates. If a vampire's mate is human they can be turned immortal if there is no other choice for them. Since this rarely happens mating with humans is forbidden and punishable by death from the High Council.'
Now Helena releasing CC makes sense. She felt guilty for attempting to kill him. She probably wanted to get away from him before hurting him because his blood appealed to her so much. I know CC likes her and wants to see her again, there has to be a way they can be together. If there is I'm damn sure gonna find it I want CC to be happy and Helena does make him happy. I may need to consult Michael on this.
