Sunlight Burns

CC's P.O.V.

The pain was unbearable. It felt like my body was burning from the inside out. Helena was by my side attempting to calm me by saying, "It's ok love. It's almost over." As soon as those words left her mouth the pain stopped but, I was experiencing a burning sensation in my throat. Helena says, "He needs to feed." Michael says, "With him being a newly turned vampire he'll want human blood." Jinxx says, "Helena take him hunting. We will begin working on controlling his thirst tomorrow." Helena says, "Come on love. The night awaits." I follow her out into the cold night air. We begin running super fast I could get used to this. Once we were in the city limits we slowed our pace. Soon my mouth began to water and my new fangs protruded. I saw a man abusing a young girl. Without a second thought I lunged at him and sank my teeth into his neck. Then I dropped his limp body on the ground. The girl was no where to be seen. Helena says, "Wow babe. You're a natural." I reply, "Instinct took over I guess." She says, "Now we have forever." I say, 'That's all I want."

Helena then puts her hand on her stomach and says, "Oh my gosh. The baby kicked." She takes my hand and puts it where hers was and I felt a tiny kick. I love Helena and this baby so much. I want to ask her to marry me. Once we got back Helena went upstairs but, Jinxx stopped me. He asks, "How was your first hunt?" I reply, "It was fine. Jinxx I need your help with something." He says, "Sure man." I say, "I want to propose to Helena." Jinxx says, "I would be honored to. I know a guy who will give you a great deal on a ring." I nod before heading upstairs and crawling into bed next to my beautiful mate.

Helena's P.O.V.

I woke up to CC's tattooed arms wrapped around me. As much as I hated to get up I had to. I have been drinking twice as many blood bags since I have a little one to feed. Once I was downstairs I found Sammi drinking her usual coffee with blood mixed in. She sees me and asks, "How are you feeling?" I say, "Fine I'm just worried about how I'll handle CC being on tour." Sammi says, "Oh honey you'll be fine. Sure it's hard but he'll be back before you know it. I still miss Jinxx like crazy though." I reply, "I also wonder how he will feed." She says, "Jinxx will help with that. He has a private stash of blood in the bus. He will also help CC control his bloodlust." I was more at ease but I would still miss him.

I ask Sammi, "How did you and Jinxx meet?" Sammi says, "It was back in the middle ages. I was a princess and my father was sick with the plague. Jinxx was a physician brought into the castle to was to help slow the progression of the illness. As we spent more time together we fell in love. Before my father succumbed to the pestilence he gave Jinxx permission to marry me. Not long after our engagement I became ill. Jinxx didn't want to live without me so he changed me. After that we stayed in Europe for another century or so before coming here and we married. Then he met Andy and the rest of BVB and you know the rest." I say, "That's quite a story." Sammi smiles and says, "Well you and CC have quite the story yourselves." I reply, "Yeah. it will be a great one to tell our son or daughter. I just hope CC is back in time to see them born."

CC appears out of nowhere and says, "There's no way in hell I'm missing the birth of my child." Sammi says, "I knew he would say that." CC replies, 'Damn right. I'll leave the tour if I have to." I see Jinxx come in and kiss Sammi and say, "CC and I need to help Andy with something." Sammi smiles and says, 'Okay." Something about her smile confused me. CC then kisses me and says, "I'm taking you out tonight. Wear a dress." They leave and I ask, "What was that about?" Sammi says, "I don't know what you are referring to." I shake my head and wondered what they were up to. Something tells me tonight will be unforgettable.
