Chapter 10
Davey's P.O.V.
Helena finally comes back in and I ask, "Where have you been?" She replies, "Out." I ask, "Where is out?" Helena answers, "Just out Davey. Being couped up in this house all the time drives me crazy." I sigh and say, "Helena you know the risks of being out in the human world. We cannot afford to have you breaking sacred laws." She replies angrily, "Yes I know that!!! All these laws are stupid. For two centuries I have been told what I can and cannot do. I feel like a prisoner." Hearing her say that was a bit shocking and I say, "I'm sorry you feel that way. But it is the price you pay when you enter this life." What she said next really broke my heart, "Well maybe I shouldn't have accepted your offer. You should have just let me die. I hate you!!!!"
Helena's P.O.V
As soon as I said that I regretted it. The look on Davey's face was pure hurt. I just ran up to my room and cried. I never meant to hurt Davey but, he was keeping me from CC. I can't stand not being near him. With CC. I am happier than I have ever been. If only I were human we could be together.
