I Would Die For You

I leaned back in the couch watching the hockey match on TV. My dad and Jasey's dad, Rick were in the kitchen.

"Oh shit go go go- No!" Ashley screamed as the goalie for the other team blocked the shot.

"Fuck, the Blue Jackets suck this year!" I said. "This is why I follow minor league."

"Dude just turn it off. I can't even watch anymore." Ashley said and I clicked the TV off. Rick and my dad walked over to us.

"What do you boys want to do? Andy, it's your day." My dad said.

"I don't care. I just want to chill out really. I'm sure the girls are running all over the place, today." I chuckled, folding my hands behind my head.

"Is she nervous?" Jinxx asked.

"No." I shook my head, "She's just a little jittery, I'm assuming at least, it's her wedding day."

"It's yours too. You seem pretty relaxed." CC said.

I shrugged, "It doesn't feel like much of a change. I love her and she loves me so we're just..making it real."

"I think I'm going to propose to Sammi." Jinxx said.

"What!? That's awesome man!" I exclaimed.

"I'm pretty excited." He smiled. I looked over at Derek to see him staring into his lap, his forehead creased.

"You okay Derek?" I asked.

"What- uh, yeah." He said softly. Even though he wasn't a groomsman he was hanging with us today, under Jasey's wishes.

"You sure man?" Ashley asked.

He sighed, "Guys if I tell you this you can't tell anyone." He said seriously. We all nodded, "Lauren is pregnant."

Everyones eyes widened, "Are you serious?" I asked, he nodded. "Oh my god! Has she told Jasey?"

"No, I don't think she has. She will I'm sure, but it's really new. We found out a few weeks ago." He said.

"Dude your baby is going to be so cute!" CC cooed. I chuckled.

"Thanks CC." Derek shook his head.

"I'm happy for you two. That's really cool." I smiled and everyone nodded.

"I'm a little worried were too young." He sighed.

"You'll be fine. If Jasey was to get pregnant or something that would be bad. We're too young. You two are in your twenties your fine." I said reassuringly.

"Jasey is not going to get pregnant, right?" Rick warned.

"Of course not. We'll be very careful." I chuckled.

"You mean you are very careful. I know the two of you aren't waiting til marriage, Lordy." He laughed. I smiled and looked down at my lap.

"Well..." I trailed off.

"Just, never break her heart. I will kill you. Personally." Rick smirked.

"I understand." I chuckled.

"Good."
