I Would Die For You

A Minor Meltdown

As soon as we walked through the doors of my old house I felt a sense of sadness sweep over me. Right up those stairs past the kitchen, Dani walked them everyday. She bumped her shoulder against mine when she was with Peter or she ran down the stairs feeling bubbly when Andy and I came home from his first tour.

Dani is the reason I'm getting married today. How is it fair that she's not here to see it?

Tears started slowly sliding down my cheeks as we entered the living room where my mom was. Her eyes widened in happiness when she saw me but quickly became worried when she took me in.

"Jasey! Why are you crying?" Everyone turned to me and I lowered my gaze to the floor. I shook my head as Amy placed an arm around my shoulders, probably worried it was cold feet or something.

"D-Dani." I sputtered out. It wasn't my mom, or Amy, or even Lauren who was the first to say anything. It was Emma.

"Jasey, Danielle would have wanted you to be happy today. Not mourning her. This is the greatest day of your life so embrace it and you can miss her tomorrow or the next day or the rest of your life. From what you've told me, Dani's the reason this is happening. She wouldn't want you to waste it on her." She said, walking over to me and grabbing my hand. I pulled her into a hug and cried into her shoulder.

"Thank you." I said softly. "So much." My mom and soon followed by everyone else walked over to us and joined the hug. I started laughing as they squished me. "All of you are so amazing."

"Alright, enough of this. It's your day to relax until you can't anymore." My mom said, pulling me to the couch. She had set up food on the coffee table. "It's breakfast time. I know your only eighteen but I think you deserve a mimosa on your wedding day." She chuckled, mixing me the drink. All of the other girls joined in and filled up the tiny plates my mom had laid out. She handed me my drink and a plate and I quickly made mine before sitting in between her and Amy.

"Mm mom you know how much I love your cinnamon rolls." I said biting into one. She grinned.

"Of course I do." She said.

"I'm sure those crazy boys aren't having a delicious breakfast like this." Amy said.

"Oh their probably rehearsing or something." I shook my head.

"Do you think Andy's nervous?" Ella asked.

"Eh, not really. He's pretty calm actually. This morning he was so touchy, you know not that I don't like but I think we both just didn't want to let go of each other." I replied.

"He was smiling like I'd never seen before, this morning." Amy said. I smiled, my cheek bones becoming prominent.

"Did he seem excited, Jay?" My mom asked. I took a sip of my mimosa.

"This morning when we woke up he was so cute." I said thinking of waking up to his face, "I woke up to him brushing my hair back." A chorus of awh's sounded from around me. "Then like ten minutes before we had to leave this morning we just sat on the bed sharing at each other."

"You two are so sweet." Sammi said. I grinned.

"I'm pretty darn in love." I said, blushing. I saw a tear escape Amy's eye but she quickly wiped it away but more kept coming out. I set my plate down and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry," She said fanning her tears, "I was just so afraid Andy was never going to find someone. Before you came along he never had any interest in anyone. I'd suggest people and he would just roll his eyes and go play the guitar. It was a nightmare. I knew he went to parties and probably...had a little fun...with them there, but he never brought anyone home. When he introduced us the first day I knew. The twinkle in his eye as he said your name, the way he looked you up and down. It was obvious how taken he was with you. Then when he got your name tattooed on him we pretty much knew there was no way we'd be getting rid of you if we wanted too which we didn't and never will." I smiled widely at her.

"Thank you so much, Amy." I said.

"Anytime. Your part of the family now. It's so special for me to look down and see my old ring on your finger because it means he's serious about this." She said. I twisted the beautiful ring around my finger.

"I love it so much." I said, "It's so beautiful."

"That's good because it's on there for the rest of your life. You know, unless you have kids who do the same thing." She winked. "Speaking of kids.."

I almost choked on my drink, "Uhm not anytime soon. No. Maybe later."

"I better have grand children Jaselyn Ross soon to be Biersack." My mom warned.

"Me too!" Any exclaimed. I laughed.

"We've talked about it someday just not soon. We're really young. Even though we're getting married and all it's just...too soon." I said.

"I understand. Be careful then." Amy giggled.

"Oh we are." I said, smiling. Everyone started laughing. I leaned back into the couch, sipping on my mimosa and enjoying the day the best I could.
