Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Andy's POV
I was starting to wake up again. The sound of the heart monitor was slowly pulling me out of my stupor. She must have put the IV back once I fell asleep. I rolled over and rubbed my eyes yawning.
"Hey, they told me you woke up last night," A familiar voice chimed in. I rolled over and looked, I felt a smile tug at my lips as I saw Ivy sitting next to my bed.
"Hey girl. How you doing?" I asked. I was happy to see a familiar face.
"I'm good. While you were out I got to spend a lot of time with Ash. On the beach and stuff, playing in the arcade that our beach mansion thing has. It's been great. Everyone's happy that the bad stuff is over now,"
"That's good, I'm glad you're enjoying him," I said with a wink, she blushed. We continued on with casual banter for a while. She said that the island people had been testing them in different ways and situations. Endurance, strength, and speed all came into play in the experiments. From what I gathered most of the band was enjoying the things that were going on because it involved racing each other, swimming, sparring, and being a wolf more than we'd normally get to. They even did scans on Jake's brain while he was human, transforming, and while he was a wolf. They found that we have essentially two brains. When we're human one works and while we are wolves the other turns on so both work at the same time. They studied all of the different abilities that we have. Ashley's golden mist somehow sped up cell division to heal wounds. Jake's powers attacked the nervous system directly sending incorrect messages of touch to the brain. They couldn't figure out how Jinxx and I worked though. Blood tests revealed that we had normal human blood in both situations.
"Sound's like we're just about done here," I said.
"Yeah, in fact we were told this morning that they'd be able to get us home as soon as you are well enough to go," She confirmed.
"When am I allowed to go?" I asked.
"When I say that you're ready to go," A voice said from behind me. I turned and Leah was walking up.
"Oh, good morning. But when can I get out of here?" I asked.
"I will check your vitals while you eat some breakfast and if everything looks good and you feel strong enough you can go," She said. As if on cue a nurse walked up with a tray of food. My stomach rumbled.
"Now don't keep eating if you feel sick," The nurse said as she put the tray on my lap. I nodded as I dug into the simple but good cereal and toast. I was finished in what felt like a few seconds, just as Leah finished looking at all of my charts.
"Well, Andy all of your stats say that you are a healthy young werewolf. If the food feels okay then I will let you go,"
"I feel great," I said.
"Okay then, I'll let you get dressed and feel free to leave when you're ready and I hope that if I ever see you again you are happy and healthy," She said. When she finished she bent down and pulled my clothes from a drawer next to my bed.
"Oh and be careful standing up you may be a bit dizzy," She said plopping the clothes onto my lap. She turned and walked back through some doors. Ivy covered her eyes while I got dressed. Leah was right, I did get dizzy when I stood up, but the feeling quickly passed and soon Ivy and I were on our way.
"Everyone's going to be so happy to see you awake and up and around," Ivy said. We walked together out onto the island. I stretched in the warm sunlight, it felt nice. As we turned to the house I saw that there where bags packed on the front porch, everyone was sitting or standing around. Juliet saw me first.
"Andy!" She exclaimed. She leaped off the porch and ran the few steps left straight into my arms.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again, ever. I practically beat up Jake because I thought you were dead," She exclaimed hugging me.
"It's okay, I'm not dead I promise. You don't have to hurt Jake," I said with a smile. I looked up and everyone else had come off the porch.
"Andy's alive!" CC exclaimed. He wrapped is bean pole arms around both Juliet and I, squishing her closer to me.
"Group hug!" Jake scream. Everyone gathered around, even Ivy's dad. We pulled away when we heard a throat clear.
"You guys want to hug each other all day or do you want to go home?" Jon said, he had come to fetch us for our flight out.
As we taxied down the runway all I could do was smile. Everything was finally okay. We all had our mates, everyone was safe and we were on our way back home to keep doing what we did best. Being super heroes.
