Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Chapter 18

Juliet's POV
Andy's call had scared me. I'd never heard him sound like that before, it was like he was truly struggling to keep his emotions in check, he sounded scared and angry his voice was shaking. My concern stretched past him, what if something had happened to Ashley. Worse I was almost certain that I'd heard someone crying in the background while Andy was talking to me. I was praying that he hadn't hurt anyone. The whole situation was giving me really bad vibes and I didn't feel safe, so I did as he said. I texted the entire pack telling them to come to our house ASAP, no questions until they get here. Then I proceeded to double lock every door and check every window to make sure that it was locked. I hoped that someone would get here soon, Andy had said that I might be in danger, I believed him. I paced nervously around the kitchen trying to think about what would be best for me to do. Suddenly I heard the sound of car doors followed by the scratching of a key in the lock. Either Andy was home or someone who managed to find the spare key was there. I feared the worst and hoped for the best. I turned to grab something to defend myself with, a kitchen knife, and as I turned back around the door swung open. I sighed with relief as I saw Andy round the corner. Relief turned into confusion when I saw that he was pulling a girl along behind him.
She only came up to his armpit in height, and she looked scared out of her mind. Her green eyes flicked up to me nervously, they were red around the edges and I could see tear stains on her cheeks. Instantly I was sure that she hadn't come with him willingly.
"Andy," I said slowly as he entered the kitchen, still pulling her along.
"It's okay baby, I'm here now you're safe. You can put the knife down," He said soothingly. I hadn't even realized I was still gripping it tightly. I wasn't sure I wanted to, I'd never seen him as dangerous before, but right now it didn't look like he was fully stable. He was shaking, his hair was a mess, not to mention he was still clinging tightly to what appeared to be a kidnapping victim. I decided not to make him angry, I put it back, not taking my eyes off of him.
"Andy, who is this?" I said gently, trying not sound like I was talking to a mental paciente, although at that moment I felt like it.
"I'll explain when everyone gets here. They're coming right?"
"Yes I texted them they said they were coming. Andy can you let go of her, I think you're hurting her arm," I said, noticing how tightly he was holding onto her. He glanced down at her, and she looked back up at him. His grip loosened slightly, before he let go all the way. I could already see the bruises appearing. She backed away from him a few steps. I couldn't say that I blamed her.
"Why don't you and I go sit in the living room and sit down, we'll talk a little bit," I said to the girl. She nodded, seemingly glad to be out of the same room that Andy was in. I walked her into the living room, leaving Andy alone in the kitchen. We sat down on the couch.
"What's your name sweet heart?" I said gently trying to seem like I wasn't a threat, she'd been through enough trauma today.
"Ivy," She squeaked.
"Okay Ivy, he didn't hurt you did he?" I said. She shook her head and took a deep breath.
"Want me to get you some water," I said, she nodded. I got up and went into the kitchen, hoping that Andy hadn't gone completely insane in the thirty seconds that I was gone. I found him with his elbows on the countertop, his head in his hands. He paid me no attention as I came in and got Ivy a glass of water. I hoped that he was focusing on getting his emotions back in check. I gave Ivy her water but didn't sit back down.
"I'm going to go talk to him okay? I'm going to see if I can calm him down a little bit. Just make yourself comfortable," I said. I didn't see any reason why I shouldn't be a good host. She nodded. I went back into the kitchen and found Andy in the same position I'd left him. I stood beside him and ran my hand through his hair fixing it for him.
"You okay Andy," I said. He grunted, looking at me sideways through his fingers. Shouldn't have had to be afraid of him, but at that point I was a little nervous. Unexpectedly he straightened up and looked at me. His eyes were clouded with thought.
"Andy you're scaring me," I said, hoping he would snap out of it.
"I know I am, and I'm sorry that wasn't intention," He said softly. He turned so that his hands were on my waist and rested his forehead against mine. I instantly felt better, as he had explained to me before that doing that was a sign of affection for werewolves. It was a sign that he would never intentionally hurt me.
"You know I love you, right baby?" He said softly, his head still on mine.
"Of course,"
"I might have to make some dramatic decisions for the pack soon. Just remember I'm doing what I think is right for you and the pack,"
"Andy, if you mean what I think you mean, I'm not going to let you hurt that girl,"
