I pull my black combat boots on before I yell up the stairs to my mom, “Hey, I am leaving now with Andy, I will be back in 2 hours!” I hear a muffled okay and I open the front door, Andy is already standing there in his black v-neck and skinny jeans. I walk out the door and Andy automatically grabs my hand. I smile as we walk to his mother’s car and we get in the back seat. Andy sits in the middle seat on the black leather and I sit on the left. “Hello Mrs. Biersack.” I say before looking out the car window. She greets me before she starts the car down the smooth road in our neighborhood. I squeeze Andy’s hand and he smiles at me in response. I continue looking at the passing scenery as we pull onto the main streets to the freeway. “I am thinking about changing the color of my hair but I can’t decide what.” I say. “Well you already know what color I’d suggest,” Andy says. “Black.” We say together and I giggle. What color should I change to? My bleached hair will take to colors easily, so I want to go with bright colors. “What about pink?” I suggest, Andy looks at me and nods. “I can see you with pink hair, you’d look good with it.” He says. I nod and we arrive at the mall. “Have fun, text me when you are done.” Mrs. Biersack says before we climb out of the black car. It was a Sunday so it was not very crowded. Andy and I reach the map of the mall and attempt to find Hot Topic. Andy finds it first and points to where the store is located. “Okay, after band merch I am getting my hair dyed.” I say before we head off to the store. He nods and we walk on the red bricks to Hot Topic. We walk through the black doors and I immediately feel at home. I instantly walk to the back of the store to look through the band merch. I could only buy one shirt because I needed to pay for my hair later. I quickly sift through all the band names and settle on a black Sleeping With Sirens shirt. pick up an XS shirt and walk to the counter with Andy. “Hey, Sleeping With Sirens are awesome!” the cashier says as I place the shirt down. I nod and smile as she rings me up. “That will be, $27.89.” She says as I hand her cash. The black haired girl bags my shirt and gives it to me with a smile. Andy and I walk out of the store and we head to the Toni & Guy across from Hot Topic. As we go through the clear doors I feel a pleasant breeze. “Hello, we are here for a hair dying appointment for Kirsten.”Andy says for me as he squeezes my hand gently. I smile at the girl behind the desk. She nods, “Tiffany will be out for your appointment soon.” She says while glaring at me. What is that about? As we walk to the chairs at the front of the store Andy bursts out laughing. “What?” I ask. “Did you see that girl glaring at you? That was hilarious, I think she is jealous that I am yours.” He whisper yells. I giggle and just for spite plant a soft kiss on Andy’s lips. He immediately finds humor in me rubbing Andy being my boyfriend and places his arms around my waist and lengthens our kiss. I smile as we separate and glance at the receptionist, she has a disgruntled look on her face and I crack up laughing. Andy laughs as well and I see a skinny girl with a pixie cut walk up to us. “Um, are you Kirsten?” She asks gently. I nod in response and Andy and I stand to follow her to Tiffany’s station. I sit in the black chair and Andy leans against the vanity. “So what color are we thinking of today?” Tiffany asks, “Well we were thinking of pink, like not hot pink a bit more neutral I guess.” I reply to her and she nods. “Alright, I will come with the dye samples and then we can get your hair washed.” She says before strolling to the back of the store. I sit there with Andy until Tiffany comes back, “Here we are, so this is the pinks I have for the hair samples.” Tiffany says as she hands me a white plastic platter with hair dyed different shades of pink, I examine the colors and finally settled on one. I pointed at it and Andy smiled in approval. I hand it to Tiffany and tell her the one I want. “Ok, lets take you to the wash station and I will have Veronica wash your hair while I prepare the dye.” She says while we walk to the sinks. I sit down and a girl with short purple hair greets me. “Is this temperature ok?” She asks after she puts the nozzle over my hair. I mutter a yes and hope she heard me. She continues washing my hair and puts a shampoo then a conditioner in my hair. “Ok, you’re done.” Veronica says after wrapping my hair in a towel then removing it. I walk back to Andy, “Hey girl, you ready to dye your hair?” Tiffany says as I sit in the black chair. I nod while smiling and she begins to paint a piece of hair with the dye. She finishes that piece of hair and folds it in tin foil.
**2 Hours Later**
“Oh my god, thank you so much Tiffany!” I exclaim after she revealed my appearance to me. I loved it, the pink color is soft but still bright. She also cut my layers so I could tease them more for a better look. I stood up and Andy wrapped me in a hug. “I normally am not superficial, but pink hair on you looks fucking beautiful.” He says to me while smiling. I kiss his cheek and he releases me. We walk to the reception desk after giving Tiffany a tip, the girl is glaring at me again. I smile at her, “$165.83 please” She says through her teeth. I hand her the cash and just to annoy her I plant a kiss on Andy’s lips. He smirks afterwards and she hands me back my leftover cash. She mutters a bye and we walk out of the hair salon. Andy musses with my hair my running his hand on the back of it multiple times. I laugh at him as I attempt to fix the astray hairs. After I finish fixing my hair Andy grabs my hand and gently kisses the tip of my nose. “You’re beautiful KitKat.” He says lightly after he kisses me.
