My Prophet

I was leaning against the window to the big studio Coralie was rehearsing in. Usually after she was done I would rehearse, and she'd wait for me. Then we'd go do something fun, but not today.

As Keenan spun her tiny body around, I watched for the last time for two months. I sighed, shakily, and brushed my long hair out of my eyes. She smiled sadly at me when she caught my gaze. I felt the urge to cry.

I didnt want want to leave Corrie, we just started to get close. I can't help but feel like she is starting to fall for me, and I'm head over heels for her! What if she finds someone better than me while I'm gone? I can't stand to even think about her with someone else..

I've never kissed her, I barely make any moves on her, what if she thinks I'm not interested? I have to tell her. That's the only way I can ensure her to be mine.

I saw Keenan, and Coralie walk to their bags in the corner. She slipped her yoga pants on over top of her blue leotard, and I knew as she walked out of the studio, it was now or never.

The guys were waiting for me down stairs in the tour bus. I was leaving immediately after saying goodbye to Corrie.

She smiled at me, and I noticed Keenan stayed inside of the studio. She pulled me into a hug, her tiny arms wrapping around my neck, and I pressed my face into her newly taken down hair.

"Andy.." I heard her whimper in my ear. The pain in her voice broke my usually strong heart, "Don't go." I felt her tears on my skin.

"I don't want too, Corrie, but I have too." I said rubbing her back.

"I know it was stupid to even ask, this is your job." She said looking into my eyes.

"Coralie, I have something I need to tell your before I leave." I said, and she nodded. "Corrie I-"

I was cut off by the sound of vibrating coming from my pocket, I took my phone out to see Ashley calling me. I declined the call, and turned my attention back to Corrie.

"I really-" I was once again dismissed by the sound of vibrating in my pocket. I rolled my eyes, and powered my phone down.

Really?

Could he have any worse timing?! I sighed, and looked into Coralie's baby blue eyes.

"Corrie I really like you." I said exhaling, "Ever since I met you honestly, I had feelings for you. I couldn't stop thinking about you. The guys tried to get me to move on but I couldn't. Then when I saw you read that girl the other day, wow!" I grinned, "It was just so beautiful! You looked like you helped her so much, and I just wanted you to be mine so bad! I know I must sound like an idiot, and all but I just needed you to know-"

This time I wasn't cut off by the ringing of my cellphone. I was cut off by the feeling of Coralie's soft lips pressed against mine. Her tiny hands were working their way through my long hair, and I felt my heart lighten. I ran my tongue along her lower lip, and she parted her mouth to allow my tongue inside. I pressed her body closer to mine, knowing this was the last time I would get to feel her in my arms for two months.

The kiss ended too soon. We stood their holding on to each other for dear life, knowing we had to let go in a little while.

"Does this mean, you'll be mine?" I asked her, and she sighed.

"We're not going to see each other for two months. Do you really want to start a relationship off like that?" She said, frowning.

"No, your right. We should wait." I nodded, hating the words I just spoke.

"As soon as you get back." She said holding out her pinky. I thought about it for a second.

"I have something better than that." I smiled at her, and unhooked the chain of the dog tags resting around my neck.

I clipped them around Coralie's, and I saw tears prick to her eyes.

"That's my promise to you that in two months you'll be mine." I said pulling her back into my arms. She clutched on to me, and I kissed the crown of her head.

"Thank you." She said, sighing.

"For what?" I asked.

"For waiting. I really want this to work out Andy." She smiled up at me.

"I do too." I said, nodding fiercely. I exhaled shakily, knowing it was time. "Will you walk me out?"

"Yeah." She said grabbing my hand. We walked down the stairs, and out the front door to see the bus parked there. I pulled Corrie into one last hug, and kissed her lips quickly before getting on the bus.

"Hey dude why didn't you answer your phone?" Ashley asked. I didn't reply, I just ran to the window to see Coralie leaning on the side of the building, sobbing as she watched the bus go. I blew her a kiss, and she smiled when she saw me. I watched as she raced to the end of the parking lot with the bus, and I pressed my hand to the glass. She looked sadly at me as the bus pulled onto the street, and I left the girl who meant the world to me standing there, alone.
