My Prophet

Spiritual

"So is their a spirit here right now?" Andy asked me, and I sighed. He's been asking me questions about my gift all day today. We were now walking around the mall.

"Andy I told you already that it only comes to me in serious situations." I said. I glanced over at him, and couldn't help but smirk at how cute he was.

We haven't talked about anything further than a friendship since the night at the bar. We've picked up a routine now. After we both rehearse Andy, and I go out and do something together. It's rather fun, and I could feel myself starting to fall for him, but I can't shake the feeling that he was going to play me.

"Is anything serious happening right now?" He asked, smirking. I hit him playfully on the shoulder, and he laughed. "I'm sorry, it's just really cool to me. I've never met a medium, let alone someone who I know personally."

"Personally?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah." He poked my side, before wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I laughed, and walked away from his grasp.

"Do you have any other tattoos?" He asked me, and I nodded. "Where?"

I lifted up my tank top to show Andy the tattoo of a flickering candle on my side. It was pretty small but for me it meant everything.

"Why a candle?" He questioned as I put my shirt down.

"My grandmother had the same gift I have. She used to always have lavender candles burning around her house. It was to help her feel grounded and she, uh, well she died about a year ago. She was my best friend." I said feeling tears come to my eyes. I felt Andy's hand on my shoulder, "She taught me anything I know about my gift." Tears spilled over my eyes, and Andy grabbed my hand. He pulled me over to a bench, and held me as I cried.

I hadn't thought about her in a while, and I knew I needed to pray for her tonight.

"I'm so sorry, Corrie." Andy said rubbing my back. I pulled away.

"Thank you." I smiled. We stood up, and walked around the mall for another hour until I started feeling anxious, as I glanced back at a teenager with black hair who had earbuds in her ears. I noticed she had a Black Veil Brides shirt on. She didn't notice Andy, and Andy hadn't noticed her. I stopped in my tracks, and Andy looked at me confused.

"What's wrong- Oh is something happening!?" He said excitedly. I rolled my eyes, and bit my lip. Their was a girl standing behind the Black Veil Brides fan, and she was a spirit. Andy followed my gaze, and gasped. "That poor girl? What happened?"

"Her sister died, she commited suicide." I said, "I need to talk to her."

"Should I come with you?" He asked.

"No, go stand somewhere out of her sight if she sees you she'll freak out." I said, and he nodded. He walked away from me, and sat down at a table behind the girl. He put his sunglasses on, and kept his gaze on us.

I walked to the girl, and sat next to her. She glanced up at me before returning her sight to her phone. I smiled when I saw she was listening to Savior.

Andy had had played me a lot of his music in his car, and I really liked it. I've been listening to it ever since.

"Hey." I said to her, and she looked at me with wide eyes.

"Uh hey?" She said confusedly.

"My name is Coralie, and I'm a medium." I said casually. "Do you know what that is?"

"Is it like talking to dead people or something?" She asked.

"Yes it means I can connect with someone who has crossed over to the other side. I was just wondering if you had a sister that passed?" I asked her. She looked down at her lap sadly.

"Yeah." She nodded, swallowing hard.

"Did she commit suicide?" I asked, hating that I had to do this.

"Yes." She nodded, and bit her lip. I could see her trying to hold back tears.

"Did she have an obsession with music? Like metal core, hard rock?" I leaned closer to her.

"Yes! She loved it, it was the only thing that made her feel happy." She said tears had started to fall from her eyes now.

"Was her favorite song Second and Sebring?" I asked.

"It was! She played it everyday, and always had me listening to it." She shook her head, and laughed breathily.

"Okay well I just want you to know that she is here right now, actually standing right behind you." I said, and she whipped her head around, "Did she kill herself on December 17th?"

"Yes." She said, clearly astonished.

"Well she is telling me to tell you that no matter how tough things get to not give in like she did, do you understand that?" I said putting my hand on her shoulder. She sobbed, and nodded.

"I do." She said in between her tears.

"She says that when your time comes you will be with her, and at such peace because your soul has reached the end of its journey at the time that god has intended you too. She said, Victoria, we were so wrong about god. He is such a wonderful being, and he has the most divine and perfect soul. She says to worship him, and adore him with all of your being but even if you don't he will welcome you with open arms." I said feeling myself start to cry.

I'm a very spiritual person, and I don't like to usually shove anything about religion down people's throats, but I had to tell her this beautiful message.

"Thank you so much, Coralie." She said hugging me tightly.

"No problem." I said hugging her back.

"No really, you have such a beautiful gift." She shook her head, and I smiled at her.

"Thank you so much." I said. "Now I think I have something with me that will make you really happy judging by your shirt." I grinned.

"What?" She looked at me oddly. I looked past her to see Andy watching us. I waved him over, and he jumped up.

Her eyes widened when he took his sunglasses off.

"A-Andy!?!" The girl jumped up. He chuckled. "Your Andy Biersack!"

"Yes I am." He said, "What's your name, sweetheart?"

"V-Victoria." She said. "Andy your music is so beautiful thank you so much for bringing it to me. I've been having a really hard time lately, and your music is the only thing that gets me through it."

Andy pulled her in to a hug, as she cried. "Thank you Victoria. We will ways be here for you." He smiled at her, she sniffled as they pulled away and then returned a smile back to him.

"Are you two dating?" She asked.

"Oh no, we're just friends." I interjected.

"Andy you should date her, she is a beautiful soul." Victoria said smiling at me.

"Thank you." I said taking her hand, "I hope my message to you helps you."

"It already has, thank you so much." She said.

"Of course." I said, and Andy and I both left.

I noticed he looked so shocked still, as we hopped into his car.

"Andy are you okay?" I asked as he backed the car out of the parking spot.

"Yeah, it's just, that was amazing." He said shaking his head.

"Thanks, that was odd it really doesn't happen as much as it has been recently." I said.

"Maybe I'm changing you." He grinned.

"Maybe.." I muttered, and he laughed. I leaned back into the seat wondering if that wasn't so far from the truth.

Notes

I love writing Corrie giving messages to people. It's such a beautiful thing to me!

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write
