My Prophet

The transfusion went without a hitch. Thankfully, both of us were okay. Coralie and I were laying in her bed, her clad in a hospital gown still. They were releasing her tomorrow. I could go home tonight but there was no way in hell I was leaving her.

We were flying home tomorrow, unfortunately, but the hotel was giving us a refund for the days we were missing. The guys all wanted to see us and I know Keenan wanted to see Corrie. He was trying to get a flight out here but it was too expensive.

I looked at her to see she was staring at the wall. It was three in the morning and I knew she was tired.

"You should go to sleep." I whispered in her ear, my head still hurt from all the blood I lost today but I didn't want to sleep without knowing she was first.

"I can't." She said, softly.

"Why not?" I said, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my chin on her shoulder.

"I'm thinking." She said.

"About what?" I asked.

She sighed and closed her eyes, "If I tell you this, please don't think I'm crazy."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Okay." I said, cautiously.

"When you have a mediumship the times your most vulnerable is when spirits contact you. When I was unconscious it was terrible, for a little while. Spirits were all over to the place. Then something strange happened," She blew out a sigh, "I was in a room in what I believed to be Heaven. Then the doors opened and someone walked in. I heard crying and I knew it was," She shook her head, "It was our baby."

She looked at me to make sure I was okay. I nodded, tightening my arms around her.

"Well, my grandma had him. Yes, it was a boy. And she told me his name was Blake. He was so beautiful Andy, god." She covered her face with her hands, "He had your eyes and my hair, or maybe yours I don't know it kind of looked like the hair in that meth commercial." I chuckled, tears forming in my eyes, "I don't know, maybe it was a dream or something. It seemed so real, though."

"It might have been a dream babe." I said, rubbing her arm.

She was silent for a moment, "Did you talk to your mom on the phone? About the baby?"

"Yeah." I nodded.

"And...you said that you were going to propose on New Years?" She asked. My eyes widened.

"W-what? How did you-"

"My grandmother showed me or something. It was weird. She told me I had a choice to stay with the baby or come back." She said, biting her lip.

"That's insane, did you.." I shook my head, "Like hold him?"

"Yeah." She nodded fiercely, "You don't know how hard it was to give him to her."

"I'm sorry babe." I said, laying back into the pillows farther.

"I would say it's fine but," She sighed, "It's not. It's really fucking painful."

I was silent for a few seconds, "Did you think about staying or dying?"

"It was never a choice for me. I wasn't leaving you." She looked up at me. I pecked her lips quickly.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too."
