An Unexpected Love

It was nearing two in the morning and Avery and CC were just arriving back at his place. The party had been a blast, something that shocked Avery because she had seriously doubted Biersack’s ability to throw a decent rager. It had been pretty tame-although seeing him and Juliet fight it out in front of everyone had probably been the highlight of the night. Now she and CC were stuffed in the tiny elevator-made even smaller by her largely oversized dress.

That was okay-her back was pressed tightly up against his chest and CC had an arm wrapped across her shoulders and his chin resting against her skin. They were both tired and Avery was almost hoping they would be tired enough to just hit the hay and get some sleep.

Currently CC was drawing circles over her collarbone and Avery had her eyes closed peacefully, but as soon as the elevator dinged, signaling that they had arrived, she felt her heart begin to pound. Was she ready for this? They had made out-sure-but this was something else entirely. This was her spending the night, this was her making a commitment…this was Avery admitting that she actually had feelings for someone again. She had sworn those two years ago that she would never fall for someone in a band ever again, but something had happened…CC had walked into her life.

There was something about him-possibly his constant optimism about everything, but Avery just couldn’t place it. It was probably because he never ran away from her, even when she was being the biggest bitch ever he would just smirk and hug her until she felt better. He also made her laugh, which was never easy because Avery had a weird sense of humor.

Before she knew it they were both standing in the front hall of his condo and CC was stripping his jacket off his shoulders. Avery gulped-this was it…this was the big moment. Silently she reached back and tried to undo the corset strings on her dress, but found that they had been laced so tightly that she really couldn’t reach that far back.


“Problem?” CC asked as he turned around, now shirtless and he was walking towards her with his black hair down around his shoulders and his eyes were burning with something. Passion? Oh boy. Oh no. Avery inhaled deeply and just smiled as she turned around, her dress having defeated her.

“I can’t get this stupid thing off…c-can you help me please?” She asked, her voice desperate and CC only smirked as he placed one hand on her right hip while the other moved towards her corset laces. He tugged, so hard that soon enough she was being pulled backward and would have fallen on her ass if he hadn’t of caught her.

“Whoa! Too much punch tonight there babe…” He laughed as he looked down at her and smiled. Avery was looking up at him-they were looking at one another upside down-and she only smiled lightly at him, her hazel eyes shining with the moonlight.


Neither of them said anything as CC moved closer, his hands still holding her in place and soon their lips were locked together gently. The kiss was sweet and loving-something that Avery had never felt from any guy before. It’s not that she hadn’t been kissed-she had kissed a lot-but none of those kisses really meant anything at the time. Even kissing CC before had just been that-kisses. But this…this was something else.

The way his lips captured hers, molded themselves to her and the way one of his hands trailed down the side of her neck and stopped right at the top of her dress…it made her feel weak at the knees. They broke apart and smiled at one another softly before CC righted her and Avery moved to stand near one of the arm rests of the couch. CC only watched with a bemused smirk on his lips as she bent over the side of the couch and just looked at him.


“Well?” She said expectantly and CC only laughed as he crossed his tattooed arms over his bare chest. She looked-well-sexy standing there like that and CC couldn’t help but feel some excitement beginning to blossom down a little south of the border.

“Well what?” He asked as he approached her, but stopped short just before reaching her. CC could tell that she was getting impatient with him-they were both tired and it had been a pretty long night. Avery just rolled her eyes and soon enough CC was behind her, one hand on the small of her back pressing her into the couch as his other hand tried to undo her laces.

“Who tied this for you? Houdini?!” CC laughed as finally the strings gave way and he noticed that Avery moved her hand up to her chest to keep the loose fabric in place. Damn-he was really hoping to get a peak. She was standing there before him now, her blonde hair having fallen out of the bun on top of her head for the most part and her lips were parted slightly.

“I-um-thanks CC. I’m gonna go change real quick…” She was blushing. Why was she blushing? CC could only watch her go and just before she turned the corner towards the back, he smirked and called out to her.

“Avery?” He said and she whipped around so fast that the skirt of her dress twirled around her ankles slightly. She was beautiful standing there before him in the moonlight and CC felt his breath catch in his throat.

“Yeah C…” She asked as she locked eyes with him and CC said nothing as he walked towards her and placed a finger beneath her chin. Their lips met in a sweet kiss and he smiled as they broke apart and his kissed the tip of her nose.

“Thanks for being my date tonight…” He said softly and Avery only smiled at him as she turned around. CC was tempted to follow her, but he knew that he had to let Avery come to him in her own time-he couldn’t push her.


As she changed, CC stayed out in the living room where he had collapsed on the couch and was flipping through the channels. There wasn’t much on because of the time, but he knew neither one of them was going to be able to sleep right away. Was she going to want to sleep in his bed with him? That had been the plan, but they had never talked about it really. The thing that CC noticed with Avery is that she was so damn independent-she didn’t seem like she needed anyone in her life and while for the most part that was great-he still liked being needed.

Having to help her undress tonight, while sexy, had also given him a sense of being wanted. CC stayed laying on the couch and he didn’t even notice the person that was looming above him, smirking in the darkness. A loud chuckle sounded out just before her body landed on top of his and soon enough CC was staring into a sleepy pair of hazel eyes.


“Hello…” He said as he smiled at her and Avery only smirked back and pressed her lips against his. His hands found their way into her hair, which she had taken down and it was now wavy and around her shoulders. CC had never seen Avery without her hair straightened-wait until he saw her in the morning.

“Well hello there gorgeous.” He said softly as they pulled away from one another and Avery only smirked as she sat up, her thighs on either side of his hips and CC couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at her. This was an interesting position and one he never found himself in…at least not with clothes on.

“So I was looking over Twitter while I was changing…” Avery laughed as she held up her phone and CC blinked a few times before his eyes could focus on the screen. There was a picture of the two of them, dancing and smiling at one another and he noticed that the Twitter handle looked kind of familiar.

Below there were hundreds of replies and retweets and CC couldn’t help but smile. Leave it up to Brittany to push for something that they were trying to take slowly-that was okay because CC knew this moment was coming. He looked away from the phone and locked eyes with Avery-she looked so adorable laying on top of him, her chin resting against his chest as she smiled at him and had her hair all tucked behind her ears. Slowly he reached out and ran a thumb over her bottom lip, smiling as she kissed his skin and then leaned in and placed her lips against his. The kiss was short, but sweet and CC inhaled deeply before speaking.


“You know what this means right?” He asked and Avery only looked down at him and smirked. She said nothing at first and just moved to place her phone on the glass topped table and she laughed as his hands reached out to help steady her-they just happened to land right on her boobs.

“What?” She asked as she returned to her position and CC only grinned. Avery was gently rocking her hips back and forth and he knew she was teasing him. It was working and he honestly wasn’t sure how long he was going to be able to hold off.

“You’re my girlfriend now.” He said simply and Avery only cocked an eyebrow at him and smirked before pressing her lips against his.


CC placed his hands on her hips, which were still rocking against his and soon enough their tongues were tangling with one another. It seemed to be moving fast and CC hadn’t even realized it until they fell on the floor that his pants had someone disappeared, Avery was naked from the waist up and his lips were clamped down on her sensitive skin. She moaned loudly and he smirked against her skin as he rolled them over and she hissed as her bare back met his cold hardwood floor. CC only smirked against her skin as he trailed his hands down and some of his fingers just happened to hook themselves underneath the waistband of her underwear. Avery only chuckled as she bent her knees and hooked them around his waist, bringing him in closer.

Being lost in their passion, neither one of them paid any attention to Avery’s phone, which happened to be sitting face down on the glass table, pointing towards them. Avery tossed her head back, pressing it into the lush area rug they had rolled onto as CC pressed into her and his hips moved against hers slowly. Her light blue nails scratched across his back and CC only growled in her ear lowly as he sped things up. There was so much passion and need built up in the two of them that there was no stopping them. They rolled around on the floor and CC only laughed as Avery bit down on his neck when she met her climax and his soon followed. It had been quick, but they had wanted one another and there was no room for thinking because if they thought about it too much then they would have backed out.


“Um-wow.” Avery said as CC moved from being ontop of her and they both just laid there on his shag carpet, the glass of the table shining down at them softly. They were both breathing heavily and Avery couldn’t help but smile as CC just reached down and grabbed for one of her hands.


“I-uh…hi.” He said stupidly and they both just laughed as Avery rolled over and placed her head on his skinny chest. They stayed silent for a moment-neither one knowing what to say and sometimes that wasn’t a bad thing.

“Shall we head to bed?” Avery asked and CC closed his eyes as he thought it over. They had just made love-they were both exhausted from it, but it had been something that had wanted for a while. CC only smiled as he turned towards her and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“Sure. Di-did you want to sleep in my bed?” He asked as they both rolled out from under the table and Avery only smiled as she felt around for her discarded shirt. CC smirked as he found it and handed it over to her.

“I would love to…” She said with a smile as they both stood up and CC reached for her hand once again.


Silently they both walked off towards his bedroom and they were absolutely ready for bed. One thing neither of them happened to notice was the little red light that had been blinking at them from Avery’s phone.
