Here We Go

I woke up to the smell of breakfast and coffee. I could tell it was going to be a good day. I looked over to see Andy still fast asleep. I layed there and watched him until my stomach had a different idea. Curse my hunger! Andy shivered as I got out of bed. I gently pulled the covers over him and then walked out to the kitchen. Sammi was there making some sort of food. She smiled when she saw me and motioned me over to her. "Andy's sleeping?" she asked. "Yeah" I answered. She nodded. "So whatchya making?" I asked her. Her smile got even bigger "Your favorite! Skinny iced coffee and pancakes" She paused. "Chocolate chip pancakes!" I tackled her in a hug and she groaned. "Oh sorry" I pulled away realizing she was still bruised.
She shook her head "No, youre okay, and again thank you for taking me in." We both jumped as Andy said "No problem Sammi." Sammi and I were so alike. We both were grabbing out chests scared half to death. "I didnt hear you get up." I said. he chuckled and kissed my forehead. "Chocolate chip pancakes?!" He asked rubbing his hands together, a little too excited. "Yep" Sammi said. Just then Andy's phone rang. He looked at it and just handed it to Sammi. She looked confused until she saw who was calling. Her face lit up and I suspected it was Jinxx. She held up one finger and walked out of the room. "So after breakfast we need to take her back to the police station to get the restraining order and then go pick up my parents from the airport" he said as he poured himself a cup of coffee. Oh man! I completely forgot with last nights events! I can only hope for the best at this point.
Sammi came back into the room and finished making breakfast. IT WAS SO GOOD! I began reminising. When Sammi and I first became roommates when we were 18 she would always cook for me and it was the best meals I ever had. Sammi had moved to LA to become a photographer and I came to meet people more like myself and we met at a local bar where a band was playing. She was the photographer for them and I was just there to listen, but I started talking to her and we became best friends. We've been through a lot since then. We went to warped for the first time together. We went to parties together and sometimes we had to carry eachother home because we were so messed up. Sammi was really depressed at one point and tried to commit suicide, but I walked in on her and we sat on the floor together and just cried. Then not too long after that she found Jinxx. He was her saving angel. Sammi was the happiest she could ever be with him and I was glad for her. Soon he got into a band called Black Veil Brides and he finally made it big. Sammi introduced me to the band and thats how I met Andy. Eventually she moved in with Jinxx so I ended up bouncing around from house to house. It was then my turn to be in a bad place. I was really into drinking, but it progressed to drugs and soon I was always high or drunk. I started hanging around BVB more often because they gave me free alcohol, but soon CC noticed something wasnt right. I hated him for a while. He ratted me out to Sammi, and she made me go to rehab. When I got out I started nursing school I graduated early since I took a lot of extra classes, and became a RN with a bachelors degree in two years. After that Andy and I started talking more often and became friends with benefits. But somehow the relationship progressed and we started dating...and broke up...and started dating again. Now here we are still friends and still alive. Crazy story!
I smiled as I looked over at my best friend. "What?" she said looking confused. "Nothing" I said still smiling. We finished the paper work for her restraining order from her brother and then went to the airport. I kept looking at myself in the mirror checking my hair and makeup and even kept eating listerine strips to make sure my breath wouldnt eat. "Babe" Andy says as I look into the mirror for the 100th time on the ride to the airport. "Babe. You look great; calm down" He said as he pulled into the parking lot. Sammi was laughing at me because I was so nervous. "Stop it!" I yelled while laughing. She started laughing even harder, which sent me into a fit of laughter and Andy just stared at us with a confused expression. Sometimes you just cant help but laugh when your bestfriend does. We waited a while for the plane to land.
I took a deep breath as Andy leaned down and whispered in my ear that his parents were almost here.
