Cold Veins and Hollow Hearts

I walk into the kitchen with my neighbor not far behind me. I can't believe I just had that little episode outside, now I'm inviting him inside my house, for a drink. I still didn't even catch his name.

"What's your name again?" I ask still blinking away the loose tears that have fallen down from moments ago, as I reach up to get two shot glasses, and I grab a random bottle of whiskey from on top of my fridge.

"Oh Andy." I set the glasses and bottle I front of us on the table as be both sat down by the island in bar stools. "Nice to meet you andy. I'm Kelley." I told my neighbor, Andy.

"Nice to meet you." He smiled at me, still with saddened eyes. I poured the shot glasses two the rim, I handed him the full shot glass, and with a clink of our drinks, we both downed the alcohol. I felt the familiar burning in my throat, and Andy and I looked each other in the eyes, knowing it's going to be a long night. I poured us another full shot.

About 8 shots later, I knew that me and Andy where both over buzzed. I remember that I was always a light weight. Everything in the room was spinning, and Andy was attempting to dance, but he fell over and I laughed uncontrollably.

So did he, then he got on his feet with a wild grin on his face. The the song rebel yell came on and andy just perked up. "I LOVE THIS SONG!" He yelled, and he grabbed my wrist, and spun me into him.

I laughed as we attempted to dance, but fell. We then laughed on controllably again on the ground and we just laid there. "Love sucks" Andy slurred out. "Your telling me something I already know." I giggle as he just looked up at my living room ceiling.

"I hate love. I never ever want to be in love again." I laugh. "Don't say that!" Andy yelled a little bit louder than expected. "You are a beautiful girl. Don't say that. I bet that your Prince Charming is out there, just like my princess is probably out there somewhere as well." He told me. "Now, I am super duper tired. And it's getting really late. If you want, we can hang out tomorrow?" He asked me, sounding a little bit more sober. "Yea! I would like that a lot." I told him.

"That's nice. Your nice. You are so pretty to." He told me. I blushed, even though it was already hot in here, it got even hotter. "Thank you andy for comforting me. Even though we never spoke before."

"No problem. I'm sorry I never came over here before." He chuckled. . Once I got up, he got up as well. "Hey, it's getting pretty late, I think I'm gonna head home before my mom has a heart attack. Thanks for the drink." He told me. "Thanks for coming over." I added. My voice kind of crackled as I remember why I encores him over. Because we both just found out we had been cheating on. I walk with Andy to the door.

"Oh I almost forgot, give me your phone." He chuckled as he stepped onto my porch. I followed. I also gave him my phone. He takes his out as well, I also notice a couple cracks in his screen that look new. After him typing in both phones, he hands mine back.

"Here, I have you number, you have mine." He smiled. "Text or call me whenever you feel down or just bored." Andy winked. "Okay I will. Thanks a lot." I told him. With that, I shut the door, and locked it. I sighed as I leaned my head up against the door. Then I heard my best friend, Mckala, behind me.

"So..that's the neighbor? Andy?" She asked as if nothing where wrong. I jumped as my heart pounded in my chest. "Damn, Mickey, your gonna give me a heart attack! How did you get in, anyways?" I asked her, as I made my way behind her into the kitchen as into the fridge to grab the can of chocolate fudge frosting.

I took it out and also grabbed myself a spoon, and then walked up to my room, with Mckala right behind me. "I've been here. You where to busy to notice me. First your boyfriend, well ex now, was over the. I heard lots of screaming. Then I heard you and our neighbor come in. Then you two had a few shots." She said as she plopped down on my bed.

I have got to get used to this. Mckala moved in since she had no money, and we thought it would be far out if two best friends moved in, and it's actually pretty cool

"Oh, you heard?" I asked. "Yep." She said popping the "p". I behave to get testy again and I just turned on the tv to watch my favorite show ever. Breaking Bad. I love it so much. As I tried to forget about the person I do not want to talk about, I attempt to change the subject.

"Yea, but Andy came over and comforted me. We had a couple drinks." I told her as I licked the rest of the chocolate off my spoon. "Ahh. His names andy." She grins. "Yea.." I smile myself just thinking about him. What the hell am I saying? I literally just found out I got dumped not more than three hours ago. "He would be cute, without the piercings and tattoos.. And long hair.." He told me. Did she just say that? I looked at her with a "your kidding me" look, and she only laughed.

"I'm kidding. But he is pretty hot. But the long hair, and piercings. Not my type." She began playing with her belly button ring. "What do you think about him?" She asked. "Well.." I began to think. Those lip rings ARE a turn on, love the tattoos, it makes him seem rebellious, yet he likes to go his own way. And his eyes are really blue, you could get lost in those eyes. And oh my god his body... I was snapped out of a trance when Mckala snapped her fingers in front of my face. "Hellooo? Earth to Kelley?" She sarcastically whined.

"Yea?" I told her, totally forgetting about her question. "I asked you if you liked Andy and you totally blanked out on me." "Oh.. Well.." I felt my cheeks burn up, and Mckala got the biggest grin on her face.

"OH MY GOD! You like Andy, don't you?" She hollered. My cheeks got redder as I only replied "no." She then began to prance and jump on the bed. "Kelley likes andy! Kelley likes andy!" That's when I hit her in the face with a pillow, telling her to knock it off

"Come on, let's get some sleep. I am so tired." I yawn. "Yeah yeah whatever. Night, dumb-ass." She yawned. "Night, tit-pincher." I replied.

(Narrators pov)

As Kelley and Mckala drifted off to sleep, all the way across town, was down town, where the area, was still very much awake and alive. But one person waiting in particular to cross the street was standing next to a bunch of random people, nobody paying attention to the teenage girl. They all just waited to cross the street.

One man with a brief case was closest to the girl. His phone rang, and he answered it. More than a few minutes into the call the man realized that the young girl next to him was growling underneath a curtain of hair in front of her face. Of course he asked if she was okay. No answer.

He then decided to shake her, maybe she didn't hear him. But that was a terrible mistake. The girl, without a doubt, lunged into the man, as she chomped down, the side of his neck, somebody else tried to pry the girl off the man, as they did the teenage girl managed to bite the persons hand. Within minutes, chaos broke out around the town.

Everybody going rabbit, trying to eat one another. But it was quit at first, the chaos was very quit. But when morning broke out, all he'll broke loose.
