it had been two days sinse the F.E.A.R soldiers last attacked and jake ended up killing ella. jake was broken, none of us had seen him like this before so we had no idea how to make him feel better. after the attack everything around the compound has been quiet, there was no sounds appart from muffled conversations and the occasional sinnging from the wild ones. everyone was trying to heer jake up but none of us had suceeded. we all expected jake to be violent and break everything but he was suprisingly peaceful. all he did was sit on his bed in silence with all of the lights turned off and his window closed, i guess he just needed some time to think so i left him.
it was early, i guess around 5 or 6am when i woke up to the sound of muffled laughter. i came out of my room in the compound silently, trying not to wake anyone else. i headed towards the laughter to find two figures sat on the edge of a fence talking and drinking. as i got closer i recognised one of the figures, it was jake. he was sat with one of the wild ones i could recognise the leather jacket with "wild ones army" written in brown ink on the back. i diddnt recognise her because all i could see what her back and her long wavey red hair. i walked closer to them and saw that jake was taking sips from a jack daniels bottle, when hes upset he normally goes streight to the alcohol so i was quite impressed it took him a couple days.
"hey jake" i called making him jump
"holy crap andy! i almost fell of this bloody fence" he seemed happy again which made me smile
"whos this then" i said smiling at the girl he was sat with
"my name is hannah" she said holding out a hand for me to shake.
she had bright green eyes which contrasted with her flaming auburn hair. her hair was in a middle parting and had two braids pulling hair off her face, the rest of it was in messy waves hanging down her back. her face was mainly clean apart from some smudges off mud on her cheeks and neck but that was normal for the wild ones, considering they sleep outside most of the time. jake smiled at her as i shook her hand. i had never seen him so happy. i guess he liked this girl beause he looked at her like he used to look at ella before she ws captured and brainwashed.
"why are you guys up so early?" i asked remembering it was about 6am
"we've been up all night" hannah said blushing
"guys why are you up? its half 6 in the fuking morning" i heared cc call from behind me.
"hannah and i have been getting to know eachother, she found me last night and we just started talking." jake said smiling at hannah again, cc walked over to us smiling
"its nice to see you smile again mate" he said playfully punching jakes arm
"what is it with you lot and pushing me off this fence" he said jumping down and holding his hands out to help hannah get down.
suddenly we all heard a massive bang. we all turned around at the same time kinda like in the horror films. jake held onto hannahs hand, and she cowered into his chest. we heard the F.E.A.R army marching towards our compound and we knew almost imediatly we would have to do something. the armys were coming and we were not prepared.
