We pulled up at the house, and I grabbed her, running into the house with her. I placed her down carefully on the sofa, and took her wings out of the bag. They were al ruffled and were dripping with blood. I felt sick looking at them. I kept all that in, and turned to Bunni, gently kissing her cheek. "It's ok babe, I'll do something." I said, and I ran to a draw, and rumaged through it. I produced: duck tape, scissors, super-super glue, and a needle and thread. I walked back over to her, and she stared at everything I brought. "Which one do I use Bunni?" I asked, she said nothing, just looking at the objects. "Bunni?" No answer.
"Bunni Please I don't know what to do! You can't leave me, not like this please!" I cried, falling forward, crying slightly.

She looked at me, then back at the objects. "Nothing will keep them on but the needle and thread." She whispered, and I looked back up. "No not that, Bunni it'll hurt you more and-"
"Listen, it's our only choice. It's the only thing that will keep them on for longer."
"But-"
"No buts. Just do it Andy." She said, and I sighed, and watched her lie on her stomach, and watch me as I threaded the thread through the needle, and sat down beside her. "Babe, It's going to hurt you."
"I know, we'll I've had them removed once I candeeal with them being put back on."
"But I don't want to hurt you."
"Andy, I know you don't mean to, just do it before it's to late." She said, and I sighed, raising the needle. "You ready?" I asked, and she nodded, taking in a deep breath and putting her head into the pillow. I placed the wings onto her back, and lined them up before threading the needle through the wing, then into her skin.

I felt her tence, and I felt tears prick my eyes as I started to sew around the wings, blood trickiling down her back and covering my hands. I let the tears slide as I heard her moan and wince into the pillow. "I'm sorry babe."
"It's fine just carry on" She said, her voice cracking, but muffled by the pillow. I carried on, until I was finally finished. I tied the knot at the end, and checked them were tight. "Finished." I siad, but she didn't move. "Bunni." I said, wraping my arms around her, and sitting her up. She was pale white, and her eyes were only slightly open. "Babe?!" she looked at me, and gave me a weak smile. "It's fine babe, don't panic."
"Don't panic! Your dying!"
"I know, but as long as I'm with you, I'm safe. I've always known that." She said, and more tears slid down my cheeks."No...please don't leave me."
"I'm not going to. I'll always be in here." She said, placing her hand over my heart. I pulled her into my grasp, and held her, crying. "It's ok darling. Just breath." She said, and I chuckled. "Your telling me to breath."
"Well it's the only thing I can think of saying."
"I love you Bunni. Don't ever forget that."
"I love you too Andy, more than anything." She said, and we kissed.

She shut her eyes, and she went all limp in my arms. "Bunni Please don't leave me." I whispered, but it was to late, she was gone. I cried holding her close to me. "Please!" I cried, burrowing into her wings. I felt something warm on my back. Something that felt safe, felt like help.......
