Chapter 9

Raven's POV

I take Jake's, Ashley's, and Jinxx's guitars to the stage, and begin setting them up. I plug in the amplifiers, then do a sound check for all the mics on the stage. Last, but not least, I make sure CC's drumsticks are in place, then I take my spot behind stage. The boys come out, and do a warm up sound check, then do a run through of a few songs. I sing along with him, forgetting that my voice echoes, and they can clearly hear me.

I stop singing when I realize all the boys have stopped playing, and are now staring at me. Blushing again, I look down at my shoes, and pretended nothing happened. It doesn't last long when I feel my hand being tugged on. Andy is dragging me out on the stage, and hands me mic. "Sing with us. You're amazing." He motions for me to go ahead. I bring the mic up to my lips, and when the music starts, I sing along with Andy.

When the sound check is over, I walk back stage, and stand there watching. They guys are in a group huddle, talking about specifics of some sort. A few minutes later, the guys walk over to me. "Is something wrong with the setup?" I ask. They all shake their heads no, and crack smiles.

Andy's POV

"Guys, stop. Do you hear that? Look." I stop mid-sound check, and nod towards Raven. She's over in the back stage area, just singing her heart out, and she's damn good. I haul her out on the stage, and get her to sing with us. When we finish, I ask the guys how they'd feel if we let Raven do back up vocals for tonight's show. After agreeing to it, we walk over to her to break the news.

"How would you feel about playing tonight's set with us?" I ask. I swear her eyes are about to pop out of her skull. She bites her lip, and it's so damn cute. Finally, she nods yes, and we all smile with relief. The guys all head out to the bus, and I'm left alone with Raven. I'm not sure if I should tell her I like, like her, or leave it be. All I know is that I can't stop thinking about her, and everything she does drives me crazy, in a good way.

"Hey, you guys wanna go grab lunch somewhere? It's kinda early still, but I'm starving." I place a hand on my stomach just as it growls unusually loud. "Sure, what the hell?" Ashley shrugs. Jinxx checks his watch, and nods. "Yeah, I can call Sammi to come meet us, she's been dying to meet Raven anyways." He cracks a smile, and Raven blushes. Jake pulls out his phone, and dials Ella's number. "Hey beautiful, you wanna meet us for lunch this afternoon? Yeah, she'll be there. Alright, see you there. Love you, too. Bye." He hangs up, and smiles at me. "Ella's coming!"

I give him the thumbs up symbol, and light another cigarette. CC comes in, and hangs up his phone before smiling. "Lauren is meeting us too. She's excited to meet you, Raven." He says excitedly. Raven just nods, and smiles, but I can tell she's nervous as hell. While the guys walk ahead of us, I drop back, and hang out with Raven. "Hey, don't worry about the girls. They are really cool, you'll like them." I reassure her, and drape my arm around her shoulders. Something about it just feels so natural. Damn it, I'm falling for this girl. What she does to me.

"Awe! You guys are too fucking cute! When are we gonna see little Andy and Ravens running around?!" Ashley asks all excited. I almost choke, and grab a pillow, chucking it at his head. "Shut the fuck up, Ashley!" Raven is way too embarrassed to say anything at all, and I can tell the others are finding it hilarious. "Fine, fine! Just let me know, I wanna be an uncle someday!" He says all happy. I roll my eyes, and slap him upside the head. "Shut up, or I'll make you!" I warn with a smile playing at my lips. I glance at Raven, and she's so red I'm sure she's dying from the embarrassment.
