Chapter 29


Raven’s POV
-1 Week Later-

I’ve been stressing so bad about our meeting with Rise Records. Emerson, Scarlet, and I have been doing band auditions for three days straight and we finally found the two missing members of our band. Jenae plays keyboard and piano while Gemma plays rhythm guitar. The girls have been staying over at mine and Andy’s place so we could use his home studio to get our three demos ready. I have to give us props. For only meeting two days ago, we are pretty bad ass. Tomorrow is our meeting with Rise Records where Craig Ericson will hear our three original songs and decide if he still wants to sign us.

I stand at the microphone and put the headphones back on and nod to Andy to start recording. I feel the familiar intro to our song “Here’s to Never Growing Up”.

The track finishes and Andy gives us the thumbs up that it’s a good cut. We all cheer and leave the sound booth to crowd around the board where he works. He rewinds it back and hits the play button. My voice resonates through the speakers and roughly three minutes later it’s done. We all look at each other and scream out of excitement. Our first official song is finished and it sounds amazing. Us girls high-five one another and I kiss Andy’s cheek. “Thanks for doing this for us. You have no idea how much it means.”

Andy wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me to him. “Anything for my girl and her friends. You guys are amazing and you’re going to be great. He’ll sign you for sure, he has to.” I smile and lean down to kiss him. The next thing I know, there is a knock at the door and a very upset CC comes inside. “Is Andy here? I need to talk to him.” I frown at his tone but lead him to the studio. “Andy? CC wants to talk to you. It’s important.” Andy turns and looks at CC, who looks like he’s about to burst into tears. “Let me finish cutting this track for the girls then we can go talk.” He says.

Scarlet pipes up and walks over to CC. “You go ahead and finish that stuff, Andy. I’ll go with CC and talk with him.” CC nods and leaves the studio with Scarlet right behind him. Judging by all the looks of my friends, we all know where this’ll lead. Scarlet never shuts up about CC and we are hoping that something happens between them.


CC’s POV


Lauren and I got into a huge fight this morning. I told her that I wasn’t in love with her and I had feelings for someone else. I know how bad it hurt her and that wasn’t my intention, but I am in love with Scarlet. I grab my keys and head over to Andy’s place. I just need to talk to him; he’ll know what to do. When I get there, the girls are with Andy in the studio. “Andy? CC needs to talk to you, it’s important.” Raven tells him. He turns to me and nods. “Let me finish these tracks and we can go.”

“That’s okay, Andy. You work on this stuff, I’ll go with CC.” Scarlet cuts in. He looks to me and I nod, saying it was okay before turning to leave the room with Scarlet behind me. This is my chance. I’m in love with her, and I can’t hide it anymore. “What’s going on? Is everything okay?” She asks me. I take a deep breath and tell her.

“I broke up with Lauren. I told her I wasn’t in love with her anymore, because I have feelings for someone else.” She’s silent as she listens to me. She then nods and looks at me. “Does this girl know you have feelings for her?” She asks. I grin just a little bit. “If she doesn’t, she will shortly because I’m about to find out.” I see her frown a little bit, but then pat my knee. “Well, what are you waiting for then? Go get her!” I chuckle again.

“She’s standing in front of me. Scarlet, I won’t lie. The night you and Raven came to our show, I instantly fell in love with you. I guess I felt like I never would have had a chance with you, so I fought through all my problems with Lauren. I couldn’t do it anymore. You’re all I think about, all I talk about to the guys, just everything about you I love. Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?”

Notes

Now, before anyone gets upset, I know that is really an Avril Lavigne song I used. But we are going to pretend it's Wicked Angels' song, same goes for all the other songs I will be using this story!
