Chapter 28
Raven’s POV
-At Jinxx & Sammi’s-
Andy and I finally made it to Jinxx and Sammi’s place and surprisingly we weren’t the last ones there. “Jinxx, I just called the bakery and they are delivering her cake in 20 minutes. We’ll have to put the candles on it, but they’ll put it on the patio out back like you wanted.” I inform him. “Thanks, Red. She’s going to love it! This is all coming together nicely. Thanks for helping me out, everyone. “We all nod and mumble on about how it’s no trouble.

We quickly finish the decorations when the front door crashes open and in come Emerson and Ashely. Ashley’s hair is fucked up and Emerson has a hickey on her neck that not even war paint could hide. Nobody had to ask why they were late. The blush on Emerson’s face was as red as my hair and I let out a laugh. “Nice of you both to show up after all the work is done!” I say and shoot Ashley a look. He just grins and shrugs like the pervert we all love.

Jinxx gets everything in order and we all head out to the patio out back where we will surprise Sammi when Ella brings her in. “We still have a few more guests to arrive.” He says and checks his watch. Just as he looks up, the door opens and none other than Kellin Quinn and the rest of Sleeping With Sirens steps inside. “Are we late?!” Kellin asks. Jinxx welcomes them in and they head out back with us. “Nope, just in time. Glad you guys could make it. Thanks for coming.” Jinxx says. Kellin smiles and all the guys grab a drink. “You bet. Wouldn’t miss it.”

Holy fucking Batman! I’m about to fan girl and lose my shit. Thee Kellin Quinn and Sleeping With Sirens is standing in the same room as me. If I thought meeting Andy and the guys was a big deal, then this definitely is something else. They are my second favorite band ever and I’m standing in the same room with them. All thoughts of Sammi’s party went right out the window and I felt my mouth fall open. Kellin walked over to me and gave me a hug. “I…oh…my God. Do you know who you are?!” Oh. My. Fucking. God. I did not just say that.

I hear Ashley burst into laughter along with CC, Jinxx, Jake and even Andy. “Don’t worry, dude! She said the same exact thing the first time she met me!” I hear Ashely say as he pats Kellin on the shoulder. Justin, Gabe, Kellin and Jack burst into laughter along with the guys. Can I seriously just crawl into a hole and die? This has got to be the most embarrassing thing ever. After all the guys give me a hug, I feel a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist and Andy is still chuckling. “Don’t worry about it. It happens, babe.” I hear him whisper to me.

That may be true, but I am still mortified. I turn to face Andy and hit his chest playfully. “Thanks a lot!” I say to him. He grins and pulls me against him. “We can talk to the guys afterwards, let’s surprise Sammi.” I purse my lips and nod and we get into our hiding places. A few minutes later, Sammi and Ella walk into the house and we all jump out and surprise her. She starts crying happy tears and Jinxx goes over to be with her.

As Sammi blows out her candles and opens her gifts, everyone is having a good time and I find myself staring at Kellin. Not in a creepy-I-find-him-attractive-although-he-really-is way, but in an oh-my-God-that’s-Kellin-in-the-same-room-as-me type of look. I grab a slice of cake and get some ice cream when Andy comes over and joins me. He nods to the guys and they stand in a huge circle where everyone was strangely quiet. “Kellin, would you like to do the honors?” Andy asks. Emerson, Scarlet and I look at each other and we have no idea what’s happening.


Kellin’s POV


Andy asks me if I’d like to do the honors of presenting the girls with their demo CD of our song. I nod and pull the CD from my back pocket and approach Raven. “This is your demo CD. A certain someone heard you three ladies singing and recorded it, then brought it to us. We did the music, put your voice over it and gave it to a few record labels. You are fantastic and have a great chance at getting signed to a label.”
I look around to Emerson, Scarlet, and Raven. All of them are speechless, which is what I expected of them. “Andy? Mind telling them the good news?” I ask. He nods and pulls out his phone.


Andy’s POV


Kellin just broke the news to the girls and they are literally speechless. He asks me if I want to tell them the good news and I agree. I pull out my phone and look up the info I’ve gathered. “We turned the demo in to several Record labels and 3 are highly interested. But, here’s the thing. Only we guys know who wants you and we are going to decide who the best is for you guys. But, because we love you, we’ll tell you who wants you.” I see the girls look at each other and just smile, this is huge news and they deserve this. “Island/DefJam Records is one, Rise Records is two, and Fearless Records is three.” I see their mouths drop open at the mention of some of these names.

Ashely puts his arm around Emerson’s shoulder and smiles at her. “Come on, Andy, they’ve waited long enough. We know who the best is for them. Tell them who we think they should sign with.” He says. I chuckle a little but nod. “Fine, we think you guys would have the best chance if you signed with Rise Records. They are some of the greatest producers in the industry and they were interested in your work.”


Raven’s POV


Like I said, Holy fucking Batman. One of the biggest rock labels in the business wants us to sign with them. Is this really happening? I look up at Andy and just can’t help but to throw myself at him. “What do they need from us?” I ask. Andy smiles back at me and keeps his arms around me. “You need a band, a band name and at least 3 original songs. They want you at their office next week to go over some things and tell you what they expect.” He replies. I look at Scarlet and Emerson and we get into a group hug where we scream and squeal excitedly.

“What do you girls think about holding auditions tomorrow after work?” I ask. They look at each other, and then shrug. “Sure! Scarlet is on drums, I play bass; you sing and play lead guitar so we only need a rhythm guitarist and keyboardist! Then we are set!” Emerson explains. I nod and squeal again. Andy sneaks into our group huddle and puts his arm over my shoulders. “You play guitar?” He asks. I blush a little but nod. “Yeah, I play lead electric mostly but I can play acoustic too. I’m self-taught.” He smiles and nods. “I can’t wait to hear what you guys come up with. The studio is open tomorrow if you want to hold auditions there.” We agree and go back to enjoying Sammi’s big day.
