Sometimes You Just Have To Let Go

Andy cleared his throat. I let go of Alex and turned towards him.
"Uhm... Thank you?" I said making it sound more like a question rather than a statement.
"No problem, that guy was a liar anyway, you're beautiful" Andy replied.
i blushed like crazy, and I'm pretty sure Andy saw it, because he smiled and chuckled. I tilted my head down, now feeling super awkward...
"so, what's your name?" Andy said giving me his best sexy smile.
"S-S-Scarlett..." I said stuttering once again.
God I'm such a spaz.
"Well, Scarlett, you have a beautiful name, to match an even more beautiful person" He smirked and grabbed my hand to kiss it.
As his lips touched my hand my heart dropped into my stomach and I felt butterfly's all over my body.
I heard Alex behind me giving her famous, "introduce me or I'll dropkick you," cough.
"Oh! Andy, this is my best friend, Alex." I said taking a step back so they could shake hands.
I felt my heart drop. I knew he would probably like Alex way more than me. I have no chance with him, although I know Alex would never do that to me.
Alex came back to my side and then there was an awkward silence...
"So can I expect-"
andy started his sentence but was quickly cut off by none other than Ashley Purdy, jogging up and slapping him on the back.
"hey there sexy ladies" He said giving us a once over, but letting his eyes linger on Alex. I saw her blush, which was unusual because Alex has always been the confident one...
Andy elbowed Ashley and the stomach lightly and then continued his sentence.
" Uhm sorry, like I was saying, can I expect to see you guys later, Scarlett?"
I was sort of stunned. He wanted to see me later?! But I'm a nobody.... He probably just feels sorry for me...
I felt a bit disappointed about tht thought but replied sincerely,
" yeah... We have VIP tickets so we get the whole meet and greet experience aha.." I said putting back on my fake smile, masking my true feelings.
" Awesome.. I'll see you then. Goodbye Scarlett," he said winking at me, "oh and nice meeting you Alex" Andy turned to walk away but turned and grabbed Ashley when he realized that he was still staring at Alex. "SEE YOU LATER ALEX! YOU'RE SEXY!!" Ashley called as Andy dragged him away. Alex once again blushed, two times in one night! I swear this is a record for her!
" In your dreams, Purdy perv!" She called back, playing her hard to get game that I knew all too well about.
Once they had left I realized that everyone in line was staring at us. Some jealous, some mad at us, and some totally happy for us. But mostly jealous. I giggled and turned back towards the entrance with Alex and the guards checked our VIP tickets and then escorted us to our little VIP section right infront of the stage.
soon the rest of the venue was packed tight and I awaited in anticipation for the concert to start.
The lights started to dim and the whole audience went wild and I just stood there in complete awe as my role models made their way onto the stage...
