When Darkness Is All You See..

I watched as she cleaned the table from the spilled coffee that the couple earlier had knocked over. Some people where so careless.

The young brunette wiped a loose strand behind her ear. She had extra hours in the day so she could get more money. As the sky got darker, rather quickly, I glanced at my watch to see that it was already 10 pm.

the beautiful girl took off her apron, grabbed her jacket, and started to head home. I had a feeling something bad might happen. So I followed her, staying quietly in the shadows.
Every couple feet feet she would walk she would look behind her like she was being followed. she then started quickening up the pace as every walk strutted quicker to her home. It was then, when I did not hear only her quickening heartbeat, but two.

I looked around me, trying to find the mysterious person, who I had not seen supposedly following me and the young woman. I then see a shadow slip from the darkness, at least 20 feet crouching behind the girl. with a pocket knife in one Hand.

I felt sick. He started to try and sneak up on the young lady, but something told me to do something. My instincts told me to help the girl with her soon to be killer. Quietly stalking her close behind. Every lighting fast pull from my feet, I got closer to the two. Just when I was about to come out of the darkness to silently take the man out, he pulled her into a dark ally by her hair, covering her mouth to muffle her screams and pleads for help.
I was was at the entrance of the alley, when I saw that he had proped her up on the ice-cold bricks. Slamming her into even more fear. He had the knife up to her chest. "Give me all your money!"

The un-identified theif threatened her, as tears began to fall from her face.
"I swear! I-I don't have anything!" She stuttered threw fear. Just as he was threatening her more, my eyes turned a bright yellow, cat like. Almost where it was glowing. I don't know why, but I felt the need to protect this girl. I use my lightening Fast speed to run over to the thug, picking him off the ground in one swift move, my hand, holding him off the ground, as I dug my nails more into his neck.

"Wh-what are you?!" The now frightened thug screamed as I flashed my eyes back to my normal icy blue color. "I'm your worst nightmare."

I grinned, taking his life instantly as I ripped his throat out, throwing the body all the way across the alley. Without making a single mess. I smiled at myself, knowing my accomplishment.

"w-what are you?!" The young girl frighten my asked. I stared at her not really sure what to say next. But then, the dead mans blood flooded my nostrils, and my hunger for blood, was at its maximum.
I have not eaten in days, as I remember. I lunge for the girls neck, my hunger obviously out of control, and I bite down into her olive tinned skin.

A splash of crimson floods my mouth, as I gulp. And gulp. I felt my stomach tighten. I smelled vanilla in her skin, and coffee on her clothing. She clenches her arms around me, I assume loosing balance, from loss of blood. I easily grab her, my arms wrapping around her as I feed off o her delicious. Crimson. Blood. I have never ever liked blood that much, but her blood was amazing. I never wanted to stop drinking it. I gulped down blood quick. My stomach feels like it's about to explode, as I hear the girls voice fade.

"Please....stop." It was a meer whisper. I was about to finish her off, and take her young life. Her pulse slowing by the second. But something sparked in me. I could not bring myself to pull her. I quickly let her go as I watch her fall to the ground.

I slip my fangs away, and lick off her neck, so the wound will heal. then I forgot. If an incubus feeds off a human, but they still live, that means that they has been marked. I quickly pick her up, and set her on the stairs of the coffee shop she worked at, not knowing where she actually lived.

I then caressed her soft, cold cheek. "We will meet again" I run off into the darkness.
