Days Are Numbered
8.
The next two hours sped by. The two chatting happily about their pasts, presents and hopes for the future. Leia explained her situation with her dad, her life at college and her dreams of one day becoming a world renowned artist. While Andy told enthusiastically of his move to Hollywood, his bands latest and previous album and the many more he hoped they would make.
They were so engrossed in each other that they never noticed the diner grow deserted, aside from the serving staff. It was nearing closing time and they were still chuckling away. Mary-Lou was eventually forced to break up their two man party and let them know it was time to leave. With fond goodbyes to the helpful staff, the two left the building together.
The city night air sent shivers through Leia's spine, it had grown dark and the street lights illuminated their path. Simultaneously they lit a cigarette and both took a deep inhale. Leia gazed into the distance, chewing on her lip ring, letting her cigarette wither away.
''What are you thinking?'' Andy took a deep draw of his cigarette, staring intently into the cocoa pools of Leias eyes.
''Sorry, I drift off a lot'' A scarlet blush crept over her face ''I was just thinking what a wonderful time i've had today''
''I had fun'' A suggestive smile rose, exposing Andy's perfect teeth ''If you give me your number we can have more amazing times?''
''Woah slow down pretty boy, how about you meet me here tomorrow. Same time as today. Then we can see about swapping numbers?'' Flicking the butt of her cigarette, she bit her lip and gave a low chuckle. She was new to the whole flirting thing, she was hopeless but it wasn't as hard as she had been led to believe.
''Ill see you tomorrow then beautiful, don't you dare stand me up'' Andy replied with a playful grin.
''Or what?'' With that Leia raised her eyebrows in a suggestive manner, turned on her heels, giving no time for Andy to reply, she began heading towards home. ''Goodbye Andrew, see you tomorrow'' Waving her ring clad hand over her shoulder, she didn't look back.
Staring open mouthed at the gorgeous girl who blew his mind, he just gave a feeble wave as her slender body retreated from his own. Andy didn't want to come on too strong but he liked her. She was different to girls he had previously met. His need to know her more grew with every word that passed between them, every connection of their eyes sent Andy's mind reeling, her over analysis of situations and events made him grow curious of what lay in the deepest pits of her mind. He vowed he would understand every aspect of this perfect woman, no matter how long it took him.
He began to head home, smiling to himself, thinking about tomorrow.
Oh my gosh! I love it so much! I really hope I get to read more!
