"Cally-Bug!!!!"My head whipped around at that god-aweful nickname.My long time best friend,Ms.Everything I Wished I Could Be,Mimi was waving wildly from her perch atop one of the many picnic tables that graced the front lawn of the school.I slung my bag over my shoulder and made my way towards her."Oh its been ages since I've seen you darling."Mimi fanned herself dramaticly.I laughed and allowed her to squeeze me tightly."It's just been since last night Mim."

"Like I said,Ages darling,Ages!"She gestured wildly with her hands and almost fell back off the table.She caught her balance and both of us cracked up.This is why I loved Mimi,she was unique and totally herself.I had o be honest,I wished I was more like her.Mimi was slim and sweet and beautiful.I was..me.We were different.Day and Night.Sunlight and Starlight.

Her slim arm looped through mine and tugged me off the table."Chin up darling,we are better than these peasants after all."She held her head up almost ridiculously high.She tried to wrangle her elfish expression into something haughty but couldn't quite manage it.I snorted,trying to contain my laughter at her antics.Her smirk dissolved into a smile and we were both laughing as we ran inside,attempting to beat the bell.

Ms.Carrol shot us both dirty looks as we plopped into our seats,seconds before the bell rang.Several of our classmates shot us dark looks,the world freaks traveling around the room like a mist.I slipped my earbuds in,turned the volume up and settled back in my seat and allowed the familiar soothing sounds of Autumn's Grey Solace to block everything out.
