They WILL Be Unbroken

-Rachel's POV-
Josh was that gay dude she hung out with right? I didn't even know they were related I mused as I waited for Kai out the front, we had last class together, and she got called back, so she was running late.
"I'm here!" Kai panted, having evidently run from the English corridor, "Let's go." We walked to the cemetery, Kai pushing her bike. Our school had a weird rule where you weren't allowed to drive to school. Me and my friends often escaped this annoying rule by driving to a block or so away and parking there, then walking so no-one saw us.
"Do you have a car?" I asked, trying to make conversation with this odd girl.
"No, but I've got a license for a moterbike, and my parents say they'll get me one when I graduate."
"Cool, what bands do you like?" I think that you can tell a lot about a person by their music.
She laughed oddly. "Nothing you'd know, Peirce the veil, Falling in reverse, Blood on the Dance Floor, Panic! at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Black Veil brides, that sort of thing."
"OMG! I love BVB!" I cried excitedly, "Do you believe what they're saying about Ashley?" I'm sort of obsessed with Ashley.
"Unfortunately." She sighed, "they're working on helping him though." She added in a brighter tone.
"How?" She told me of the plan she and the band had thought up, I was surprised to find she actually lived with the band. "Spread the word little sister!" She said with a wink.
"Little sister?" I laughed.
"Well you're part of the Army if you like them. And any Army member is family to me!" I smiled, I liked the feeling of being part of something bigger than me that I actually enjoyed.
"Would you mind if I sat with you and Josh tomorrow?" She looked startled.
"Yeah, I'm sure that'd be fine."
"Josh doesn't hate me does he?"
"No, he doesn't hate me either, if your talking about his sister they really hated each other. In her suicide note she basically said that she wanted him to kill himself too. She wrote, "I hope to be seeing you under similar circumstances big brother. Hate you."
"Holy shit..." I murmured.
"Here we are." she said as we arrived at the cemetery gate. "Follow me." Kai said, suddenly cold. We walked through the cemetery, passing my grandparents grave. It was a long walk from the gate. Finally Kai stopped over an overgrown, small headstone. She bent down and cleared the face of it and read aloud, "Jane Cathalie- 1995- 2010. Disgrace." I was shocked, how could any parent be that cold?
"That's horrible." I breathed, shocked.
"Lets go..." Kai sighed.
"Yeah."
"See you tomorrow."
-Kai's PoV-
As Rachel walked away I closed my eye's and sighed.
"Kai?" I opened them again and turned my head to see Rachel standing about a metre away.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry." I raised my hand in acknowledgment of her apology.
"See you tomorrow!" I cried after her. I walked away from her towards the tree my brother's memorial headstone was under. I sat down in front of his grave and ran my hand over the beautiful, but simple, engraving.
"Thomas Tordea- 1994- 2012, son, fiancee, guardian., beloved, missed." Each of the four most important people to him had been given the chance to write something on his gravestone. His girlfriend had said that he was going to propose when he got back. I believed her, so did my parents, we all knew Thomas was far to much of a romantic to be able to resist doing something so cheesy.
"I miss you big brother." I whispered as I cleared of some of the ivy growing on it. Just enough to show the name, lifetimes, and note. I'll see you again one day. Not by my hand though, just like I promised." Before he left Thomas took me aside and said to me, "If I don't come back, don't hurt yourself. Please? I love you too much to hurt you like that."
"I promise." I let a tear slide down my cheek at the memory. "I promise." I whispered to the empty graveyard.
