Chapter one- Discoveries
-Kai's POV-
I awoke to my alarm clock blaring Legacy at me. For some reason that song always put a smile on my face. I rolled out of bed and hurried into my school uniform. I glanced at my reflection on my way out and paused to mess with my short, black hair, a little spray and it did what I wanted, I poked my tongue out in a friendly way at my reflection, then it was out the door and off to school. I jumped on my bike and sped off to school. It was then I let the truth hit me. They were gone. Gone. Andy- missing and depressed, Ashley- worrying, Jake- angry at all of them, namely Jinxx, Jinxx- angry at Jake, CC- depressing. I sighed unhappily. They were in tatters , and so was the army. I was fairly sure Josh had taken up cutting again, I was close, but still fighting, I sighed again, I'd talk to him today. I saw a homeless man wandering along and entered into my constant internal struggle, give him money and know he might spend it on drugs, or not give him money and know he might starve. I gave in to the no money side and sped up a little to pass him. As I got closer he swerved suddenly, crossing straight in front of me.
"Holy-" I cried sharply turning and braking. The man carried on, down to the underpass.
"shit" i whispered feeling my heart slow down. I headed off to school.
"Cat!" Someone called, I turned round and grinned,
"Josh!" I squealed, "I haven't seen you all day!"
"Yeah, band my precious herp-a-derp!"
"DOI!" I cried to myself, making us both laugh.
"So," Josh said, switching on to more serious topics, "Hows my hotsie-totsie, sad CC?"
I sighed, Josh's parents wouldn't let him have any social networking sites, god knows why, so he used me to keep in touch with his crush of the millennium, CC. "Depressing," I sighed, "but not missing." I grumbled showing him CC's latest tweets.
"he'll show up Kitten." Josh murmured, ruffling my hair.
"but what if he doesn't?" I burst out, voicing all the Black Veil Brides Fans fears, "What if he's dead in a ditch somewhere with his wrists-" I gasped at the image and started sobbing.
"Shh, shh" Josh comforted me
"I gotta get home," I sniffled
"do you want me to come over?" Josh asked.i nodded, this is why I loved Josh, he always knew just what I wanted.
"Alright lets go!"
We where headed home, laughing and joking, I glanced at the underpass, I don't know why and screamed, there, under the road was the homeless man from earlier. Covered in blood.
"Shit! Josh!" I cried, pointing. "Shit!" I practically fell off my bike rushing to the underpass.
"Kai! Calm down! You'll have an attack!"
"Shit, shit, shit! Josh call an ambulance! Hes freezing!" I realized where the blood was coming from, His wrists, in his left hand was a razor.
"No.." the unknown man murmured.
"Look, I understand, you don't want help, you did this to yourself, but shit!"
He opened his eyes, they where startlingly blue. "please?"
Those eyes, it couldn't be, could it?
"Fuck alright, lets get you back to mine... but if any of those need stitches I'm taking you straight to the hospital."
He sighed, "Fine."
"Alright Josh, help!"
"Coming! Fuck Cat thats..."
"I know! We need to get him back to mine!"
"Fuck theres way we can lift him just the two of us.. we're both scrawny as fuck! Wait! CC!"
"Now is no time to be fan girling Josh!"
"No hes searching in this area right now! He posted his number if anyone had information on Andy!"
"I'll call him them give me the number!"
"how come you get to?"
"Cause you'll be incapable of speech if you talk to him."
"Oh" Josh muttered handing me his phone, CC's number already typed in.
"Josh, what the fuck?"
"Don't question the gay fanboy! Just call!"
The phone rang a total of two times, a thick voiced CC picked up.
"Hello?" He answered, a whisper of hope in his voice.
"CC hi my names Kai, we've found Andy."
"Shit where is he" on the other end of the phone I heard a door slam and an engine start.
I gave him the directions, and added, "CC, hes cut his wrists. He doesn't want to go to the hospital, and I'm fairly sure none need stitches, we where just about to take him back to mine, but neither of us have cars, and we're both too weak to lift him."
"Alright." CC took the news very well I'll be there any minute. Keep him awake."
"OK." I hung up, and told Josh CC instructions.
"Right, Andy? Look at me please." He tiredly turned his head to me. "CC's on his way. I need you to keep awake."
"CC?" Andy asked in a soft voice.
"Ya."
"You're pretty." Andy said with a little giggle
"Andy, are you drunk?"
"NO!" Josh snorted behind me. "Only a little." He admitted sheepishly
"Kai? Andy?" CC's voice came down the path
"Here!" I cried. I heard Josh give a freaked out little giggle. "keep your cool Josh."
"I'll try." He murmured as CC came crashing down.
"Andy!" He cried with tears in his eyes. "Oh god lets get you to the car." With me and Josh helping, we got Andy up to CC's car.
"Alright, where too?" I gave him the directions to my house.
I was in the back with Andy, Josh was in the front with the CC looking ridiculously excited.
"Breathe kitten breathe!"
"So, you two like, an item or what...?" CC asked
"Dear god no!" Me and Josh laughed.
"I feel like I'm missing something." CC muttered.
"You are, Josh is ridiculously gay!" Josh sent me, say anymore and I'll kill you, looks, I scrunched my nose and stuck my tongue out. "He also has the mother of all crushes for you."
"Goddammit Kai!" Josh said blushing furiously.
"What! No gay love for me?" Somewhat drunk Andy chimed in from beside me.
"No, Kai likes you!"
"Fucking hell Josh!"
"Paybacks a bitch, bitch!" He said, lightening it with a peck on the cheek.
I stuck my tongue out at him. Andy started shivering, so I put my arms around him.
We finally go to my house.
"Won't you're parents wonder why two strange men are coming in?" CC asked as he lifted a shivering Andy from the back seat.
"They run a bank, they're in Australia at the moment, for the next 2 months."
"They leave you alone?"
"Yeah, I'm 17, and they trust me not to do anything stupid."
CC didn't look convinced. "Take him up to my room, I've got a spare bed up there from..." I cut off, not ready too talk about it. CC didn't pry any further. Once Andy was settled, I warmed up some soup.
"I'll take some up to Andy." I said, still needing time alone. As I left I heard Josh and CC start talking. I smiled, knowing Josh was living the dream.
"Andy?" I knocked, before letting myself in. He was asleep, I gently woke him.
"Hmm?"
"I have some soup. And I need to clean your- your cuts"
He looked away ashamed. "I-I'm sorry." He murmured starting to cry.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't cry."
"You really are beautiful" he said, still crying.
"Thank you Andy." I murmured, starting to cry myself.
"Don't cry." He repeated my words, with a small smile.
"Eat your soup, I'll get the disinfectant and bandages."
I walked into my small en suite and grabbed my medicinal supplies. Giving my blades a long, hard look.
I re-entered my room to find Andy had finished his soup.
"That was fast." I commented with a smile.
"That was yummy!"
"Thank you!" I started bandaging his arms.
"Kai, can I ask you something?"
"Shoot"
"Why do you have bandages and disinfectant in your bathroom? I other words, everything required to look after cuts?"
