Highschool story (no longer being writen)

Kelsey's POV
I was getting ready to go but I couldn't figure out what to wear. Yes yes I know first world problems, but nothing felt right. I wanted Andy to like it and think I looked good. I looked over at the pile of clothes on my bed and sighed. My phone lit up and I looked at the time. I only had twenty minutes to finish getting ready! I searched through and ran into Emily's room. I found the scarf she borrowed from me a few months ago and grabbed that. Now to find a shirt. I went back into my room and sifted through and found a plain black long sleeve. Finally dressed. Now I only had ten minutes. (outfit) I looked around the room gathering my bag and by the time I was completely ready I heard a knock on the door. I took one last look in the mirror and went downstairs to open up the door. I was met by Andy standing there smiling but looking nervous. He looked how I felt.
"Um hey" He said
"Hi, we ready?"
"Yeah, lets go"
We walked outside and over to where his car was parked.
"So what are we doing" I asked sitting down in the car
"Well I was thinking we could go get something to eat and then I know of this spot near the end of town"
"That sounds good"
"awesome"
He started driving and I looked out the window.
"How does frozen yogurt sound" He asked
"Good"
He nodded and kept driving only stopping for signs and red lights.
"So where is your family this weekend"
"Mom and step dad went on a 'romantic' weekend and my step brother and sister went to see their mom. Yours"
"Out of town to see a family member"
"Is everything okay"
"Oh yeah everything is fine. My aunt is having her baby and my mom and dad are going to help her out with her other kids"
I nodded and looked over at him.
"What" He asked laughing
"Huh?"
"You're staring"
"Oh right sorry just spaced out"
"It's fine."
He parked the car and we walked in to grab the food that we called in.
"So where is this place you're taking me to" I asked as we got back in the car
"It's this old park at the end of town. I used to go there with my grandpa and cousin when I was younger"
I smiled and continued looking out watching the town go by. Was I happy I left Minnesota hell yes. Was I happy I moved to Ohio? I thought about it and looked over at Andy...Yeah, yeah I was.
-At the park-
We just parked the car and were walking. Andy was leading the way carrying the food and I had the blanket.
"Is this good" He asked when he stopped
"Yeah"
I spread out the blanket and sat down next to Andy.
"This place is amazing."
"Do you bring all your dates here" I joked
"Date?" He asked
"I-I didn't mean- I was just" I nervously sputered
"Hey calm down. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I just didn't know if you- if you were considering this a date. Because I am"
I looked up and smiled.
"Me to"
"Good"
"You never answered my question" I said laughing
"Oh right. No I don't. You're the only one"
I blushed and looked down again.
"So how do you like Ohio" He asked as we began to eat. Well he began I faked it
"At first I wasn't to thrilled but there is certain things that make it better"
"Oh yeah like what"
"Some of the people." I said smiling at him
"What was it like back in Minnesota"
"Cold."
He laughed
"What it was. We got two and a half months of summer every year"
"Fair enough"
"So how long have you been writing" I asked
"A long time. I've wanted to be in a band for as long as I can remember"
"I thought you were in a band now"
"Well yeah but it's just a garage band we only practice like three times a week. I want to travel the world doing what I love. I want to help people and change lives by playing my music. I want my band to take over the world. Be known and loved by people. But when you're sixteen nobody takes you seriously"
"Then you make them. Make them take you seriously, make them listen"
"How"
"I don't know. But if you love something and you're passionate about something you have to find a way"
"Do you think I can do it" He asked
"Yes, I really do. Do you"
He paused for a few seconds and stared at me.
"I think so"
"Good"
"Were you like a motivational speaker in a past life"
I laughed. "No. that was kind of the speech my grandfather gave when I was ten"
"Well he seems like a smart man"
"Yeah. He is"
"I have something I want to tell you"
"Okay."
"Kelsey I really lik-" He was cut of by his phone ringing
"Seriously" He said looking at his phone
"It's my mom I have to take it"
"Of course yeah go ahead"
"I'm sorry"
He stood up and walked away talking on the phone and I sat here pushing my food around my plate.
When Andy cam back he sat down across from me and set his phone down.
"Sorry about that. What was I saying"
"You liked something"
"Oh right"
"I really like you. Since the day I met you. You aren't like the girls I usually meet around here"
"What do you mean"
"I don't know. I just feel drawn to you, and I don't know if you feel the same and I get that you might not but I just had-" I leaned forward and cut him off by pushing my lips against his. And this time we weren't interupted by anyone. He kissed me back and I wrapped my arms around his neck. We broke apart and I looked at him.
"I like you too"
He kissed me again and put his hands on my waist.
-Later that night-
It started getting dark so we packed up and headed home. When we got back home he parked the car and walked with me up to the door.
"Thank you for tonight. I had fun"
"So did I"
"Do you want to come in. We could watch a movie"
"Yeah lets go"
We spent the night watching movies curled up on the couch and eventually fell asleep. I think I'm really going to like it here. I think we could work
