Chapter Eight (Jake's POV)
I lay on the couch next to CC, Batman playing in the background. My eyes followed the contours of his body, my mind playing over what I would do to him if we were alone. "CC?" I asked, turning his face towards me.
"Mmmm," He said, his gaze turning towards me.
"What were you and Ella talking about?"
"Oh, that, uh, nothing." He said, tripping over his words. I shrugged it off and went back to drawing circles on his stomach, my fingers going numb with the repetitive motion. I stood suddenly, rolling CC off the couch. "Fuck babe, where are you going?"
"I'll be back in a minute." I said, running from the room. i only just made it into the bathroom in time to see my puke hit the toilet, my knees collapsing to the floor in front of it. I started choking, ignoring the footsteps that were running towards me. My vision went black and I hit the floor, my head going crunch as I hit the tiles.

I opened my eyes to see everyone around me, CC clutching my hands and sobbing. I tried to make some noise to show that I was awake, but there was nothing, I was struggling to move, to breathe and to make any noise. "His eyes are open guys." Andy said, pointing towards me.
"Oh, thank god Jake, I thought you had done some serious damage when you hit your head." CC sobbed. "Jake? Why aren't you replying? Baby, talk to me." I wanted to say something, I wanted to stop the tears rolling down his face but it was impossible, I couldn't reach up to brush them away.
"I don't think he can move." Ash whispered, a look of horror on his face. "When did the doctor say we would get the results?" He asked, looking around everyone. No-one could answer and I just lay there, wanting so desperately to move, but completely unable to do anything. I felt a lone tear roll down my face, CC sobbing harder when he brushed it away with his lips.
