Let me set your world on fire

I toss and turn, unable to sleep. I can't stop thinking about that awful fight between Jake and I. I can't believe that it's over between us.He as my everything, my world, my multiplex and now he's gone. And into Franks arms. How can Jake just throw everything we had away?! "You need to sleep," a sleepy Vic mumbles besides me. "Easier said than done. I bet he's fucking Frank in the hospital bed right now," I groan into the pillow, trying not to picture it.

Suddenly, I feel a hand on my cheek and a beautiful brown pair of eyes staring down into mine. I look deep into Vics eyes and my breath catches into my throat. They're so beautiful and deep and the love in them just envelops me.

The next thing I know, my lips are softly against Vics. I push against his lips harder, pushing him down onto the bed and climb on top of him and kiss him harder, more passionately. I slide off of Vics shirt and let my hands roam his body. Vic bites down on my lip and I just let my hormones take over. I rip off Vics pants and kiss down his body. I guess I was so into it that I didn't hear the door open.

"CC what the fuck are you doing!?" A very angry Jake demands.

I sigh and look over at him. "I'm trying to have sex with Victor and you're interupting. Can I help you with something? Or can I get back to what I was doing?"

"No you cannot go back to what you were doing! Get dressed and come talk to me like the adult I know you are! How could you do this to me!? To us?!" Jake screams.

I stand up and wrap the sheet around my waist and get in Jake's face. "How dare I do this to us?! You have a lot of nerve saying that to me! You're the one who pushed me away! We are over! So if I want to have sex with Vic I will! You cannot tell me what I can and cant do anymore!" I scream and punch the wall.

"No! We're not over! How can you say that?! You don't want us to be over! I know that you don't! I found your wedding vows!" Jake exclaims, waving around a piece of paper like a crazy man.

"Where did you get these?" I demand, snatching the paper.

"Andy gave it to me. So I rushed out of the hospital and over to you. I thought we could talk and work this out but obviously not. I knew you had a thing with Vic," Jake cries, falling to the ground.

'Vic, can you give us a minute please?" I ask, throwing him a small smile.

"yea sure. I'll um go get something to drink," Vic says running out of the room.

"Jake come over here and talk to me," I say sitting on the bed. Jake slowly slinks over and sits down in front of me.

"CC, I love you, please," Jake croaks.

"Jake, I don't know if I can do this. You always hurt me and I don't know how much more of this i can handle," I ramble, running a hand threw my hair.

"CC, I can fix this please. If you change your mind, come home." Jake slinks up and out the door without another word.

Vic comes in and closes the door behind him. "Hey, look, as much as I was enjoying what we were doing earlier, I think you should go home to him. I know you love him and we are really awesome friends. I know you think this is true, you just don't want to get hurt anymore. But, I saw his face, and he's sorry and he wants to make this work. I know you want it to too, so go make it that way." Vic says handing me my clothes.

"Victor, you are the best friend a guy could have. Thank you. I'll call you tomorrow and tell you how things went," I say scrambling to put on my clothes. I kiss his cheek and run out the door.

I bust threw the door and look around. I race into the bedroom to find a rather scared Jake staring at me. "CC, what are yo-" And before Jake can say another thing i grab him and pull him into a passionate kiss and wrap my arms around him. Oh, how I've missed the way he fit perfectly in my arms. I pull back and look at him, deep into his eyes. I smile as Jake slides my engagement ring back onto my finger. I pull him into bed and wrap my arms around him. I snuggle into him and fall fast asleep, with a smile on my face. Because finally, everything is perfect.
