I looked at the girl that stood in front of me. She had long black and red hair. She also hadhad a nose ring. She looked familar. She messed with her shirt. I looked at it. It was a peirce the veil tee shirt. I rattled my brain for where i might have seen her before. "Bret I would like to introduce my daughter Alexandria. You'll be seeing a lot of her. She's home schooled." Mr. Straes said. The name alex had no ring to it. " it's nice to meet you Alexandria." I said extending my hand for her to shake. She just stared at it like it was an alien or something "Your supposed to shake it." I said. She roled her eyes. "I know how to shake a hand. I prefernot to." She said. " Alex why don't you show Bret around. I'm sure he'll need help finding his way around. I have some paper work to do." Mr. Straes said. Alex led me up stairs. She pointed out the two guest rooms her room the bathroom and her parents room. "What about that room?" I pointed to the door at the end of the hall. I don't know why I asked I didn't care. But the door compelled me. She looked at it. Her eyes budded tears befo re she turned and said " it's inothing." She walked down the in stairs. She showed me around the ground floor. Kitchen where her mother was working on dinner. The office where her father worked on paperwork. The dineing room where i started and the living room where she plopped down on the couch. "what do you want to watch? Looks like your staying for dinner any way." She said. " whats on?" I asked. She threw the remote at me. I looked at her. She was enticed in a book earbuds in and seemed to be ignoring everything i did or said. "what do you thinks for dinner?" Nothing "when do you think your father will be done with paper work?" Still nothing. I turned on the T.V. I watched the bigbang theory. Mr.Staes walked in then. I fallowed him into the office. " so we are going to be organizing your upcoming tour and building suspence for your next album." He said.I nodded."I trust Alex showed you around. Including downstairs." I shook my head. He stood up and lead me down stairs to a room filled with instruments and microphones and recording equipment. " this is where Alex's brother, luke, used to practice with his band. Now it's wear we addition new band for opening the shows." I nodded. "may I ask what happened to luke?" I asked " He died in a fire." He answered heading back up stairs. I fallowed him up then went up the stairs to the bathroom. I opened the door to something i didn't want to see. Alex was on the floor with a razor cutting inro her leg. It wasn't the first time. Her entire upper thigh was cut up. She looked up at my and started to ball. I hugged her. " shh. It'll be alright" i coforted her till she stopped crying. She got cleaned up and we ate. She walked me out. "I'm going to be your friend by the end of the two weeks. No best friend." I said as we walked to my car. "Good luck." She whispered then ran inside.
